My friend has a kfx and his sister inlaw has a z-400. Both bikes ran terrible above 4000 ft. Re-Jetting became a pita since we sometimes ride from 2000ft to 8000ft and back in a a day.
Both bikes got a dial-a-jet and the jetting problems are over. Both run much better at any elevation and get slightly better mpg.

they are all the same, had mine for two years.

I have use them for two years, but I use mine differently than most.
I have a small 1 quart tank under my seat, that I mix gas and Nitro and spray the mixture into the tops of the carbs with the dial a jet, when I pull.
I know a lot of people use them, mostly so they don't have to rejet when changing elevations. You need to go down 2 jet sizes to give room for them to work.
Talk to Lorn, he is the owner of thunder products and a good guy to talk to, he'll answer your questions.

If you go on the WWW.THUNDERPRODUCTS.COM website the show the new dial-a-jet gets it's fuel source from the floatbowl, which intern takes out all contaminents I thought it was pretty cool! Oops sorry SHOTGUN I quoted myself instead of you.

That looks pretty interesting. I couldn't find a price tho. I know when you add a pipe you should rejet and this looks like it would take care of that. Since there are so many visitors to this site there must be someone who has tried it. If it works on a snowmobile it will work on a quad.

Shotgun, are you saying that you have used them for years?? Do they work?

Yeah i saw them a long time ago....Been thinking about getting it. But i heard it's not that great and it wears out really fast. Plus when i order my LTE it comes with jets. So i most likely wont get it. But you sure can and tell me what you think of them.
And when he says they drain the float bowl....
Dial-A-Jet IS NOT like a Power Jet. A Power Jet feeds raw liquid fuel, just like the other circuits, and works from 7/8 throttle and up. Dial-A-Jet feeds emulsified fuel for instant throttle response and works from just above idle to full throttle.
Dial-A-Jet feeds a fine consistent mist of emulsified fuel instead of raw liquid fuel like all other jetting circuits in your carb. Pre-atomized fuel weighs 10% of what raw liquid fuel weighs, therefore, it is very responsive to engine needs.
