What kind of ATV is it...Sport or utility?
If its a utility just tell him that it can be used around for yard work or w/e.
Hey, if my dad said he was going to sell my wheeler I would try anything to make him reconsider...Although pretty soon I will be able to drive....

Take an ATV saftey course with your father!
Show some responsability...don't tell him or mom about how the backflip is in the back of your mind

he says they are dangerous and that lots of people have seen me on the road going fast, he says he doesnt want me dying on one of those, does anyone have anything i can tell him to convince him not to sell it?

here in DR im not sure if there are any safety courses for ATV's but im guna tell him that im guna be resposible. if he sells it im guna be pissed til i get another one. you dont know the feeling

i have two kids myself and i can understand where he is coming from. But! i also enjoy riding and i know your side too. maybe you should stay off the raod, take a riders course, not saying your not safe but it will help show him your a responsable rider and try setting down and talking with him. my daughter and son both ride dirt bikes and my worst fear is something will happen to them but i also know i have to let them go so they can grow, just hope they don't do the same stupid stuff i did at thier age. talk to him you might be surprised.
