snowmobiles have their purpose, when winter comes and four feet of snow, its the only way to get around. you can travel fifty miles in the woods with a sled in 1/4 of the time it takes on a quad. a sled will go where a quad will not go summer or winter. i knew its hard to believe when you live in the tropics but they do work and are fun. same price as a quad , except hard of fuel.

Often times I'll be sitting on the beach looking at the scenery and think to myself...boy I bet it sucks for all the people out East

good luck and maybe you might want a boat.

Posted by: dragracer789

who ever dosent liek snowmobiles are puss*s! Snowmobiles are waaay faster than atvs. I love snowmobiling. I cant wait untill snow. I have missed it all year.

Posted by: dragracer789

Yup I have a SRX700 and a few other sleds and guess what??? It will DEFINTLY give you more of an adreniline rush than a quad. Going 130 across a lake is just awsome and then skipping some water really will get you hyped up. And yes it is good for quads because the jumps are just endless. lol

hey raptorjay.. have you even ever ridin a sled soemtiem in your life? if so what was it?

Posted by: dragracer789

anyrider- Your missing out on something awsome! You can go so far on a snowmobile so quickly and you dont really have to worry about running out of gas on some trialbecause usually you can get to a gas station farely quick. There just plain and simple very fun.

he'll be back (never left)

quads are 4 season all terrain beasts

I feel bad for the genious who pays for his sled all year long

and only enjoys it for a few weekends a year

dont get me wrong

sleds are awesome

just not practical for some

Posted by: extremerider2811

i don't like fourwheeler giver awayers, thats it, lol, man when are you getting another atv?, snowmobiles are fun but not cool

but its ur choice

Posted by: extremerider2811

why would it suck, i have a snowmobile but, the season is only like 4 months maybe 5 or 6 in some areas, and an atv can go threw out the year, i mean they are alright, but i have a 01 arctic cat mountain 900 that can go easily 125, top i slike 170 or 185

Trailblazerguy250, just told me over instant message that he got a used fourwheeler, and why is the topic "bye" all of a sudden being replied to, which hasen't been replied to i nlike 3 months, you must of had to go like 3 pages back to find it, but the first reply bye the topic starter was a while ago, so things can change, i forget what kind he got, but i just thought you would like to know, and snowmobiles are cool, but not when you live in wisconsin and you are expected to get snow but then the weather man always predicts bad, and all we got was like4 inches, and that melted, and now we got flooded, because before the snow we had 12 inches of rain, so all that water froze about an 1 inch thick, and then it melted, so there is no point in riding, in a snowless place, you know what i mean?

Funny how when I'm playing in the snow I think about how much it must suck for the people out west.

Posted by: bootboss

yeah this is a atv fourm but i agree with dragracer they definatly are a big rush and you cant easily use any utility quad in 5 feet of snow and if you can, it wont be that much fun

Posted by: WoodsRuner

not pratical for most. about 70% of the country doesn't get enough snow to make one worth it.
around here the folks who own one get to use them about one month a year. Some years not at all.

Posted by: tbsleeper

your not far enough north to have enough snow for a snowmobile. NH is in rough shape right now u gotta go to the very top to get alrite snow. BUT up in Jay peak they got 205 inches of snow already really good season for them. best glades skiing in the northeast. they even get more average snowfall than veil!!

Posted by: tbsleeper

ya its unbelievable up there the snow banks are about 35 feet tall. its littalary a winter wonder land. small trees get covered wit snow and there are some really nice snowmobile trails up there but dont go off the trail or good luck gettin it out haha
