You need a crossover, It will send the low frequencies to your subs and the mid frequencies to your mid-range/mid-base speakers and your high frequencies to your tweeters. Most of the better crossovers are adjustable for freq. range.

Here is a link to crutchfield, there is some good information on this site. You can always call them and ask for help on your selection of crossovers.

Blaster2fast- go here http://www.crutchfield.com/infocenter/car/S-AVTMK9EiTEb/crossovers.html to read about what a crossover does. Some of the newer amps have them built in. Hope this helps.

Alright i got 4 new speakers and 2 10' subs and a 80+80 amp.. my subs dotn work right.. they are playing music... can anyone tell me why???

the subs.. i dont know there 10' and the brand is like sentrek or something like that the amp is just a semi old 80w +80w with hook ups for left and right speakers front and rear. they dont got a hook up for subs.. i was thinking i needed to go buy a new amp... what do you guys think?
can you tell me some more about these low pass crossoverS? what are they? where do i get them? thanks alot
