While riding I bumped my riding pants against my pipes on the ole Banshee. Anyone know a way to get the burnt riding pant goo off the pipes?

The pipes are some form of chrome. I'll try both methods on a little spot to see what works.

Thanks, Guys!!

if it is nickle or chrome you can use oven cleaner just heat up the pipes a bit and spray it on... but it will eat paint and aluminum so dont get any overspray on anything.

A SOS pad/steel wool should do the trick.

Try a brand new razor blade. It should come off without scratches.
Good luck.

If they are crome or polished aluminum the SOS pad will scratch them pretty deep. Use 0000 steel wool.
