i dont think ive ever got more than a year and a half maybe two years out of any of my motercycle/quad batteries. ive lived in buffalo and phoenix so the conditions are very extreme hot and cold. maybee in a more moderate climate they would last longer.

Battery in my 2001 Bayou 220 died over the weekend while on a ride. No biggie, just used recoil back-up the rest of the day but I did not know what kind of battery life an ATV battery has? This quad went into service 11/00, used about once or twice a week, no accessories on it. Never sits more than 14 days max and I'm in FL so no cold starts or winter down time. Is 18 months about average battery life for a quad in these conditions? It was the oldest battery I've got {added elect start to LT230 about 6 months ago} so should I expect the same from my others? Lets hear some of your battery experiences. Thanks.

The more the battery sits the harder it is on them plus the vibrations aren't good for them. 2 yrs is usual for a motorcycle battery depending onthis and that. Same thing with car battery's u may have one last 6,7 years then you may have one go in a few years. So it is hard to say on all battery's i had one motor cycle that would go through a battery a summer adn my other one it lasted 3 yrs.
