my clutch did not explode ijust put a new one in after 2 years of riding just about every week my frinds (2) 250R`s have not blown clutch and they both do the same thing it is better on a 4 sroke because of the torque will litterally burn up a clutch

You'll figure it out. First of all, you should use the clutch and it's not any harder than just an automatic clutch (only foot shifter), plus the clutch makes riding more fun and you can do certain things with the clutch (let it slip a little/control the power delivery, ride wheelies easier, more fun, better shifting.) To switch gears, pull the lever in to disengage clutch and shift up or down with the foot shifter. Then let off the clutch and hit the throttle a little (how much you push the throttle depends on speed and current gear). Like I said, it's not hard and you'll figure it out. Once you get some experience, you'll be shifting through gears as fast as your ATV will accelerate.
