PLEXUS is the best plastic polish i have found and i dont particular like armorall becasue 1) it leaves a film on the plastic and 2)it attracts dust a other things way too quickly and 3) it looks like your plastic has oil all over it...the plexus is a plastic, an rubber cleaner and preserver...it hides small scratches and other blemishes from things like gas spills and just dull spots...and also SAFE CUT was works great too this takes out deeper scratches but it DOESNOT make the plastic dull like other scratch removers...

i have been using armorall to.....also put mop and glow up under the fenders..it makes it so much easier to get mud and stuff cleaned up

blue_banshee: Where did you purchase plexis and safe-cut from. I have never heard of these products and would like to give them a shot.

i agree with the last guy, i was first told that car wax was the thing for it, but it wasn't really working well, then i switched to Armor-all (sp?).. though really any good plastic/rubber protectant will work wonders on it.

that's exactly what i said, i put that Armorall on, and a 3 year old bike looked brand new... here's another tip: armor-all and such products like it will increase the life of you tire it you soak them real good every so often. the armor-all is absorbed by the rubber and causes it to be more flexable and not begin to get those little cracks that soon become bigger cracks... all around, it's good for the tires too...

I used a buffer with some very fine grit Meguiars mirror glaze was and got an 11 year old Banshee shining like new. I tried armor all, STP, Zymol, Black Magic, etc, but I never had anything work as good as the buffing. First I used some 0000 Super Fine steel wool to take out the deep scratches and then buffed the fenders and all other plastic with my electric buffer. ------------------ Jeremiah Lucas 1989 Yamaha Banshee & 99 Suzuki LT-F500F Quadrunner

I just bought a '99 Scrambler 400. The plastic looks a little dull. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions about cleaning up plastic and makikng it look like new again.

If you plastic gets to scratched up you can take a little polishing compound to get out some of the scratches then use that armorall or mop and glow.

clean up you quad, then get some of that "Son of a gun Protectant" Man does that stuff work wonders. Spray it on rub it in and let it dry and it looks brand new.

I use Armor-All too. I like to put it on just before I go to a rally and it makes the bike look like new. The shine lasts until you get mud on it and then wash the mud off.
