Fellow ATV'ers,
Haven't seen this posted, however be advised that the GPS clock will reset over the weekend. The system's clock is limited to 1,024 weeks and will reset to zero just before midnight on Saturday, August 21.
According to news reports, civilian units made prior to 1994 may no longer function after the reset. It is estimated that some 1.5 million units will no longer work after the reset unless an internal computer chip is replaced. Later model units should work fine once turned on after the reset. However, they may provide incorrect readings if used for navigation during the reset period.

Glenn,
Thanks for the tip.
Because my GPS unit was made by Magellan, I performed a search of the net and found a similar site for Magellan owners. Good news!
I won't have to replace my GPS2000 unit.
The Magellan site is found at http://www.magellan.com.au/magellan/pages/pressreleases/y2kmay.htm
