When ever I go to a restaurant or what ever, I use my tow chain that i carry with me, and i chain it the other quad i'm with or I chain it to a light post or sign, some stationary object that cant be moved. If anything you can take your spark plug out, something like that. I've seen Motor Cycle Alarms in JC Whitney catalogs, i bet they could be installed on a fourwheeler. But if you get into mud or alot of water, I'd be careful,it might get wet and short out. ------------------ Jeremy Cross 1993 Yamaha *turbo* t-wolf

i was reading dirt wheels today and saw an ad for the Surelock Wheel Lock. the lock is a bar that attaches to both rear wheels and keeps your quad from rolling.it adjusts from 37 to 52 inches and weighs 16 pounds. Sure Lock will custom design a lock for a small increase in price Surelock Wheel Lock 11079 millers road lyndonville new york 14098 (716) 765-9282 [This message has been edited by tony (edited 08-08-1999).]

I think your best bet would be to put a Motorcycle disc brake lock on one or all of your brake discs. Some of them even have built in alarms. Dennis Kirk and Chapparal catalogs have a lot of these. ------------------ Garrett Lowman; CT240 Blaster, YZ490

I have a 98 Banshee and 98 Sport 400. I frequently ride them at the beach in Mexico and go into restuarants, bars, stores, etc. and park my quads out front. For this reason, I cannot keep them in site all the time. Earlier this year, my Banshee was stolen. Fortunately, I got it back. I would like to put some type of mercury switch or motion sensor type device connected to a small siren and attach a small 12v or 6v rechargable battery (like one on a radio controlled car) to it so I have some type of alarm on it. A regular alrm won't work since the Banshee does not have a 12v battery system. I was also thinking about a very inexpensive, personal motion alarm that runs off a small 9v Transistor Radio battery. These are not very loud, but atleast it would be something! How about some ideas for my Sport 400? Does anyone have any advice? Also, how is the best way to lock up your quad when you are out and about like this? Is one place better than another to place a small chain lock, sprocket lock, padlock, etc.? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
