Although there is not at this time, the option of removing one's own post, he can notify the moderator of his wish to delete his post. Many have done this when submitting double posts, for example.

TxDoc2, In the case you mention you could merely ask the moderator to move the post to the appropriate forum. He would be glad to do so.

I was wondering why there is no option to delete a post? If you are the originator of the post, it seems like you should be able to delete it altogether, if you can edit it in any fashion. Does anyone know? Thanks

I posted under the wrong topic heading, and an edit would not have helped. The whole post needed deleting so I could post it in the right area, but could not do so. Thanks.

do you mean your post or the whole posted topic that somebody started, some of the topics get interesting after a few other people post on them and i dont think it would be good to have someone just delete the whole thing, if you are talking about just one post then i agree, i would like to be able to take some stuff back after posting
