I use these Kolpin Gear Grips

Kolpin Gear Grips

They're not only good for guns but they're good for hauling around various tools and junk around the farm. They clamp down on the gun and release with just the touch of a button. No little rubber bands to break or lose. You can also quickly remove them when you're going to be loading the rack or riding through heavy brush or something and don't want them snagging on stuff.

Just a tip:

If you happen to go with those Kolpin Gear Grips, make sure that when you attach them you rotate them so that the release buttons are pointing to the inside of the ATV and not facing outboard. If you don't, branches or sticks seem to want reach out and press the button and release the squeezing grip. As long as they're pointed to the inside they're protected and that doesn't happen. Or maybe I just ride in too much brush.

Depends on what kind of rifle you are going to carry. When working around the farm I carry a TC Carbine in 223 to harass the coyotes and other vermin. I just put it in the box on the front rack and pad it with a coat.

Won't work for a longer rifle of course.

Chambo, I made my own..Buy your self a cheap gun case, and set it up with a bungy cord that stays on the rack (back rack)...I don't use any kind of open rack, especially with a scoped rifle...

I am going to buy a gun rack for my Kodiak and was wondering what you all have and use? Which ones seem to work best?
Thanks

Thanks guys. I also do a lot of bow hunting with a recurve so that fits into the choice as well.
