Let's try this again. The Gila Rough Riders, a NON-PROFIT NEW MEXICO CORPORATION is hosting the GILA MONSTER ATV JAMBOREE on March 22-25 just outside Silver City, New Mexico, 3 hours from Tucson or El Paso or 5 hours from Phoenix or Albuquerque.
There will be an ATV rodeo on Saturday, featuring the DRAGGIN'Sled, the only ATV weight transfer machine in the southwest, barrel racing, wheelie contest etc.
Riders will be qualified on a short timed trail ride so everyone can RIDE AT THEIR OWN PACE!
220 miles of trails have been mapped for the event, held in the Burro Range of the Gila National Forest.
Riders will be divided into groups:
Adventure riders, beginners and youngsters just getting the hang of it, short and easy rides
Cruisers- experienced rides just not in any hurry, visit old mines, enjoy the scenery
Shooters- Dirtbikes, sport quads and big bore utilities with and attitude, you know who you are.
Rockers- 4x4's who gotta get into the rough stuff
Burgers Friday night, live music and BBQ Saturday, Breakfast Sat & Sun, RV parking, no hookups, no three wheelers, helmets required. $75 adults, $50 kids under 16
