Just some thoughts...JMO...of course!

Why not a Ladies class? D Day was supposed to have one last year and then they didn't even run it...no trophies were given out.

Also, the Utilities all together? Hmmm...why would a 4 wd compete against a 2 wd? Weight difference...

Sport class...why would a 400 EX compete against a 700 Raptor or KFX 700? Doesn't seem fair there either...

Also, I think according to the results from the last one...approximately 91 people competed. I don't think 325 people did...maybe there were 325 ATVs on the premises???

What is the cost?

3 days seems a little stretched. I can't see where people will be there Friday through Sunday. People who work Friday will be late and miss Poker Run. Sunday...people will be packing to go home.
Just seems like there will be a lot of down time on some days...

On the trails, riding them didn't take too long. So that won't fill the time between competition.

Flyers out? Website up for D Day?

For ladies class, I know we will have myself, Heather, Janetta Brown, and a few others. If I can get our other ladies out there, we will have others. Will that be enough to run a Ladies class? You might consider it...

How much are the fees for spectators? One day and whole weekend?

Posted by: Racechick73

Hmmm...okay. The email you sent with the flyer didn't show up for some reason. Also on D Day's site, it really doesn't say there either. http://www.dday4x4.com/ATVRUN2.htm I had people asking...

Thanks,

Dawn

Simply stated...this event was awful! April's event was a lot better...this one was a waste of time. We were told over 600 people would be there. The heat and storms had nothing to do with people not showing up. This event was not advertised like it should have been.

The trophies just sucked. We went from plaques in April to dog tags? Who's idea was this? Our group spent over $300 on entries and we win dog tags?

We swept a lot of events and were very pleased with our performances. We and other riders not associated with us deserved a better arena, better trails to ride, and treated better.

Don't slam on our honest thoughts...

Dawn

Posted by: Racechick73

OH my...you all claimed so much ownership for running stuff up there before the events...and now after, it's kinda like...oh crap, they'll think we were the ones responsible for everything...so we'll blame D Day. LOL!

What happened to the dealers that were there last time? I think Puriton's pulled out on them, didn't they?

On the trailer getting broke into, all the Rebel Outlaws were at the drags...don't you remember that? We all lined up to race and we all stood by the fence and cheered on our people? We griped when things were wrong...hmmm...I think that goes to show that we were all accounted for and didn't have time to break in and steal anything. Hmmm...I hope they did dust for finger prints...I guarantee every single one of the Rebel Outlaws will submit our finger prints if you all need them to prove we had NOTHING to do with this theft! It's absurd to even ask if we did it....

I know we left all of our stuff out and we camped right by the entrance to the place. We had several things left out and none of our stuff was touched. Winson Slavens left his huge rig unlocked while we were out and I do believe his stuff is more valuable than all of the NWA's stuff combined and doubled. He didn't have a thing touched.

On the Sunday events being cancelled, when was this decided? We were up at 7 a.m. and no one said a word. We decided the previous night not to even run the Snake Pit. It was disgusting....cow crap and who knows what in it. It's nice to know that no one would even bother to say that it was cancelled. We planned on running the obstacle course...then realized that no one else was there to run it so why bother...LOL!

On the dirt drags, who was the guy at the end judging? If we knew he would have trouble, we could have brought him some glasses. LOL! Point is...the video shows the true winner...that's all we need to know...

Hmmm...we talked to some people there too. We heard several people not associated with our group making some comments about the events. We assured them that at our rodeo that we have electronic timers and a PA system to announce times and names.

On the advertising, we didn't see anything on it. We did see this post on this forum. We knew the event was in August and we had it on our forum. We didn't see any flyers out at stores, dealers, etc. Hmm...must have been a selected area that was advertised.

Hmmm...all I am saying is that this event was really awful. I know we were asked by D Day staff to come back to the events in September for the Bike Events. Those events are for 18 years and older and people who want to party. Did they ask you all to go? Well we have decided against going...imagine that, huh? I guess we as the wild party ATVers decided not to go to the wild events in August...LOL!

We had a few people from your club tell us that the events were really advertised. A few told us that the events were bad...it's funny how many will talk to us and be honest, but can't tell you the truth.

On our people...you mentioned that the Slavens were good people. You're darn right they are. As for Stacy and Chris that you pointed out...they are awesome folks too. We as a group have some awesome and uniques people. We are a great blend of people who never argue or fight and we all come together as a group to help each other out. WE ARE GOOD PEOPLE!!!!

Anyways...this was a bad event and now has a bad reputation...don't think they'll be able to pull this one out of the gutter from now on. From April's 325 people to 50ish people, I think the word has gotten around.

That's funny...we already chose NOT to come back and now we are banned...that's funny!!!!!!! By the way, D Day Staff...go to our forum and put your comments there too....

Hey, as far as the advertising and such, I myself never saw anything on the tv or in any newspapers. I guess either I just wasn't looking hard enough or hmmmm, it wasn't advertised!! But, I suppose that will be blamed on DDay. As for the events supposedly being rained out on Sunday, we were told as of around midnight Saturday night by Piper (DDay staff) that "this event isn't a baseball game, you don't get rained out on atv competitions... you just ride in the rain." So, Marty, I guess you are just trying to cover your club's butt again.

As for trying to put your daughter up against a 90cc Scrambler on a 250cc bike, that is just bull. Yeah, this was the first time that my daughter had ever been on an ATV by herself and she did lose the drag race anyway, but she sure as hell gave it her best shot. Which, is more than I can say for some people out there. I do believe that Shannon gave it her all and she handled that bike better than most adults I know.

As for the video tape that Raymond took of Winson's win, and again I say win because he did win that race, there is no way that Raymond could have done anything to that tape to show that Winson won. That tape showed the truth and that is the only reason that you and your club did not want to see the tape. Also, for those that did look at the tape, you all just didn't want to admit that your "judge" made a mistake! I know for a fact that this "judge" hesitated on many a race before he "announced the winner". I think that your club needs to stop, take a step back and look at all of the mistakes you made during this past weekend's events and do something to correct them before you ever think about sponsering another rodeo.

These are just my opinions so take it however you will. However, I can guarantee that my husband, daughter and I will never compete in another event sponsered by the NWA. So, Marty, you might want to stop and think of all of the money and support that you have lost in my family alone. You can take this however you want, it really doesn't matter one bit to me. I do know that I am looking forward to our rodeo on September 10 at Cedar Tree Arena in Kansas. I know that Shannon will be ready to compete at that rodeo -- she might or might not win, but at least she will be out there getting more experience on her bike which will be good for her.

I hope that whoever reads these posts will realize that the Rebel Outlaws is a fair and fun group just out there to have some fun and friendly --- emphasis on friendly -- competition.

Posted by: 04prairiegirl

Hey all! I just wanted to say a few more things. Big T --- if you decide to "get back on this forum" -- we are not whining, we are all intitled to our own opinions and this forum is simply a way for us to do that. We are not trying to feud with the NWA or anyone else. That is not what this is about -- this is about what is fair and right. But, then again, I guess they wouldn't know anything about that. And as far as being banned from DDay, that is just fine by me, my husband and I had already decided to never again attend another event at DDay and that was nothing to do with the staff at DDay. Before now, I had no problems with anyone associated with DDay, I really enjoyed my time there in April and had planned to attend the last bike rally that you had there but it just didn't work out that my husband and I could make it. But, if you want to ban us for our opinion, then so be it! It's a free country thank God! You have that right and we have the right to voice our opinions. I just really don't understand what problem you have with this group. I reread the posts on this subject just to see if anyone said something negative about anyone at DDay or DDay itself and I didn't see a single negative comment made. Maybe I overlooked it but I know that I didn't see anything negative about you all.

Also, I agree with Winson, the kids should have had something besides dog tags and lanyards. That was more or less saying, "Hey, thanks for spending your money here, now here's an aluminum dog tag, now go away." That is a real slap in the face. I don't know who thought of that -- it was a neat idea, maybe for a participation prize for all of the kids or everyone who entered, but I don't believe that those should have been the prizes for the winners. I don't know if that was something thought up by the staff at DDay or if that was an NWA idea. Either way, that isn't something that I think should have been handed out as the actual prizes. Once again, that is just my thoughts and opinions. It's not meant to make anyone angry or make their blood boil or start an argument or anything like that --- it is only my OPINION!!!

I would like just say to everyone that did compete, ya'll did a great job whether you won or you lost! At least you were out there and you gave it your best shot!

Mogules are off set holes,,,,Area will be blocked off till the event is ran. Then it will be opened. This Per Dewayne like last April...

Posted by: Pitnazi

6 – 10 yr – 160cc Limit

Posted by: Pitnazi

We kind of expected these comments. 1st off we , NWAATVRC, only ran the events . We had nothing to do with the prizes that were handed out. If you have a problem with it you need to get with Dewayne at D-Day. We can not control how many people were to show up for te event.

If you guys think we cheated in the dirt drags next time bring timing lights. We don't watch video tapes . The judge at the other end said the 450r beat the Banshee by less then a foot. The angle that was taped was not right behind the line. The judge said another 5' and the Banshee would have ran. I have nothing against the Slavens they are good people. As for the comment Raymond made to Big T stating theat "Well we won't be back." I am sorry. I really like the facility and the people who run it.

As for your comment Tyler, as I told you the other night when you called, I was only passing on info about you guys to Dewayne from a former member of your group. Also there was advertising done. Do you watch TV? ? ? Or read the newspaper??? I know for a fact that it was in the Tulsa World, Ark Dem Gazzette, Joplin Globe & Big Nickle. You all may not have had the time as you expected this is not our fault.

Chris I have never said a single word to you or did anything to you and you come on here and bash me and the club. I did make the comment to someone on how your riding has gotten alot better since you got your Raptor last year. Guess I should have kept my comments to myself.

Stacy Yes, we had Plaques . They were the ones left over from the April events. We had nothing to do with the awards that were handed out. Guess I should have kept my comments I made to you about how well you rode to myself also.

The events for Sunday were canceled per Dewayne well before you all loaded up and went home. This decision was made because of all the rain that was falling.

The events for the Dirt Drags were consolidated. You guys threw a fit when a girl in the kids class came to the line to run that had just started riding, as you stated. You threw a fit when she lined up against a girl on a 250 Recon. Yes the girl on the Recon was my daughter, but irreguardless it was a kids Open class with Open CC. I hope you all are happy with the fit you guys threw over it. She still lost.

For all the people that read this these previous comments were made from 1 group only. There was a group there from the SWMO Atvers there , and they had a great time. We met some real nice people at the event.

Does anyone have any idea who broke into the 2 trailer in OUR Group an dstole the money? ? ? Not pointing any fingers at all . This happened while wer were at the Dirt Drags. The did dust for finger prints.....

I fully expect them to get back on here and totally bash me and our ATV Club. This is just a reply to their comments

Posted by: Pitnazi

We did not sponsor the events we just helped run them. The facility was open for riding Sunday. There was several people who came out to ride spite the rain...

Posted by: Pitnazi

Also DID I say anything about pointing fingers??

Have a nice day.....

Posted by: 700polaris

HEY MARTY not griping here just suggestions

you really need to have a class for 5 under all these other events have one for the little guys and gals
and on the utililty class are you running all of them together 2wd and 4 wd cause if you are you will not have any 4 wd drives compete we have that problem with the atv shodeo they run them together an a 4wd just cannot compete with the little 2wd's

and like last year you guys had a ladies class and you had trophys but did not award them out are you not having a ladies class this year

and have you heard a price yet

andthere were 325 atv's there in april but only 70 competed

Posted by: 700polaris

that sounds good did you think about the 400 and up class you might want to break it up now with the kfx 700 and raptor 700r and 650 dsx i mean a 400 ex like yours has no chance against those beast i mean on the drag races the rodeo it dont matter but drags it does

sounds like you guys got the ball rolling send me some flyers when you get them so i can get some up

Posted by: 700polaris

stupid question for ya marty what is mogules never heard of these/

Posted by: 700polaris

also is there going to be pratice time so people like myself can get familiar with these events ?

Posted by: 700polaris

so what is the ccsizes for the kids mud class

Posted by: 700polaris

hey marty forgot to ask ya last nite what are the prices for the weekend cause on thier new site it says 35$

thanks
tyler

Posted by: 700polaris

What a bomb...hmmm...no one really showed up. I think there was approximately 50 people...maybe?? The rain was pretty annoying...but we managed that.

Everyone was packing up and leaving after the rodeo events...we watched over 20 people leaving.

We paid $25 per competitor and won dog tags as trophies...that was pretty goofy! Last time, we got plaques and now...DOG TAGS? What the hell?

Oh geez...we could go on and on....We did good as Rebel Outlaws competiting...no complaining there! LOL!

Team Rebel Outlaws!

Posted by: 700polaris

well...... hey we are all entitled to our thoughts

so here we go ........ i think the nwa need to pull there heads out of their a$$ i mean the area was not maintained i want to know what they did for their weekends maintance cuase they did not do crap

they log pit was growed up with weeds bad the mud was stagnat water can you say nasty our boys were cheated on drags but you know oh well they will never admit it

heard we were mouthed about how we would all be drunk and raising hell all hours of the nite kinda backfired on ya'll didnt when it showed ya'll lied to peopl when we wasn't doing that huh we were quiet stayed to ourself's you know we didnt want to bother the 600 competitors oh wait there was only 50 lol

hey marty maybe next time you should do some advertising you think

tyler

Posted by: 700polaris

ok marty what we talked about om the phone was about pranks that was not going to happen it had everything to do with YOU and your club going around and telling people not to camp by us since we get drunk and raise hell all hours of the nite!

we heard about the camper getting broke in to and it is funny that our campsite is right off the road and it had a wallet laying on the seat of a truck unlocked helmets sitting around and what not was block from view by the slavens trailer and nothing was touched in our campsite the slavens had their trailer open the entire event and he had more in there than your entire campsite smells like b.s. to me

marty it has said on dday sites and on your own sites (events sponsored by nwa atv club)so what now that you had a sorry turnout you dont want to be know as the sponsor

hey why you are at it why dont you ask dewayne about asking us to do all of his advertising for the april one and doing the events and doing the maintance since you guys coundnt do it

so what you are saying raymond doctored the tape in like 2 seconds before he brought it to ya you're own club members said it was horseCRAP you should have givven a rerun

but oh well just remeber marty you club sucks @#!$ and always will and this event shows

OH YEA FOR EVERYONE WHO READS THIS ALL THESE COMMENTS ARE FROM ON GROUP AND THAT IS BECAUSE WE WERE ALL THAT WAS THERE

Posted by: 700polaris

winson we thank you for the comments and as i said on our forum i think this argument is turning childish so i am moving on from it

so thanks winson hope the knee feels better dude later

Text What a joke! Thats right, this idiots that call themselves a Atv Club, don't know a dang thing about atv rodeos, or atvs period. My wife and I will not attend another event put on by this idiots, Marty. You just need to get out out of this sport, you put a bad name on us atv riders. For one thing you guys cheated one of our riders on the drag races. We had video tape of this race and he still wouldn't change the decision., Videos don't lie! To the readers of this forum, I wouldn't waste your time or money to attend anything put on by the Northwest Arkansas Atv Club. They are idiots! Dog tags, that was a slap in the face. How did the mud pits run, did anyone show up. lmao img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif" border="0">img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif" border="0">

Text By the way Marty, This is my first sport quad to ride in my life, yes it did take me some time to get used to. I grew up on small utilities. I have heard from a little bird before that some of your damn club members mouth us, especially Raymond, myself and Tyler. Why is it that some of your former members wants to join up with us now.? Last year when, Dawn and Tyler were trying to get me to join the club, when they told me there were memebership fees, I just didn't say no, but hell no. I am nopt paying anyone so i can ride my fourwheeler with them. I know alot of other people i can go ride with and not have to pay a membership, thats just plain stupid. You should figure it out by now, whenyou piss off one person in the rebel outlaws, you should just keep your mouth shut, because the rest of them are going to slam you to. We are good bunch of people. We love riding our atvs. Just admit it, your club was wrong on some of the calls, lied and cheated to win. My wife and I will not be back to any dday or nwa events. Lets see how many people show up to your atv events now.

Posted by: skokie

Hey, 700polaris, I want to put in my two cents in too........

This ATV Jamboree was a joke! It was nothing like April's when the Rebel Outlaws helped run it. There were only about 50 people including Rebel Outlaws and the Northwest Arkansas ATV Riding Club . The Northwest Arkansas ATV Riding Club (NWAATVRC) was to do trail maintenance setup and run the event. The trails had debris all over them from glass to drum break pads from a vehicle. The rodeo "arena" had large rocks in it and there was not enough room. Sport bikes were lucky to get out of 1st and 2nd gear. NWAATVRC needs to attend a Rebel Outlaw Rodeo or an ATV Shodeo Event to get some pointers.

Classes were not planned well 6 – 10 yr – 160cc Limit; 11 – 15 yr – 250cc Limit; 200cc – 399cc – Any; 400cc – UP – Any, Utility Open, Ladies. Trophies were Dog tags and "D-Day" Lanyards. The tags where punched with the event and "Winner" no matter what you placed. The kids that placed 1st-3rd, got a lanyard with the words "D-Day" on it. Think of that kid as they pull that lanyard out of the closet in a year and say "D-Day" what was that..... Rumor has it that the NWAATVRC had plaques but since there were not alot of competitors they switched. Don't know if there is truth in that but come on guys, each competitor pays $25 to get in and each spectator pays $5, you all couldn't afford to give each kid something and give the winners a trophy. $25 for one day of 4 events and you win a dog tag, hence my statement I started with...."What a Joke!"

You all just gave a bad name to the sport and left a bad taste in the mouths of any new person that just ventured into the rodeo relm. For any of you newbies or Non-NWAATVRC Members that were disappointed, first of all put a post here and tell everyone what you thought, and second of all don't think that all rodeos are like this one. The Rebel Outlaws are hosting a rodeo on September 10th, check it out. Check the homepage for details. (www.rebeloutlaws.freehomepage.com)

In my opinion, this event was appalling, my husband and I will not attend any more events associated with the NWAATVRC.

Guess I should have kept my comments I made to you about how well you rode to myself also

This was not about abilities to ride. I know I can handle my bike and You all have some good riders too. This about the condition of the place and how it was run. Let me copy and paste one of your previous posts:

ATV Rodeo (3 Events) Cone Race , Flag Race & Barrel Race

11 – 15 yr – 250cc Limit

It says nowhere that it was open cc for kids. I believe the recon would have fit in the 11-15 yr olds. Come on now a 90 against and a 250, even if the riders where professional racers there is no competition. So Sunday was cancelled was there a refund for that? I am sorry, but it was too expensive for the hassle, but that is just my opinion.

As per the figure prints, go for it, our whole group was on the sidelines at the drags, oh but that's right, you weren't pointing fingers.

Oh and as per your keeping your comments about Chris to yourself thats fine too.......Chris, just in the time that we have rode with you all, "You the Man!" You are kickin butt and taking names!

You won't have to worry about me anymore because my husband and I will not attend another event sponsored by you all.

WAand D-Day staff
This is Winson.
I am a person of little words so I'll make this as short as possible. I'm sad that it came to all of this. As for the money I spent at the Rally I could care less about that. I waste money all the time. When I went to the web pages and seen the Classes for me to run my Banshee in I thought it wasn't fair to the other bikes that fell into that Class.
I'm not trying to brag about that at all so don't take it that way. The web also showed for the drags Classes were:

Kids 6-10 100' course 160 cc limit
200cc- 399cc any
400cc- up any

I accept that as well as any other rider that entered. Then when the drag event started all the kids were told to run with no cc limit, and all sports bikes 200cc- up were told to run together. I was confused!!!

As far as Dalton he has put a lot of pride in his ridding and racing and I think he showed it that day when he didn't back down and WON the Drags against every bike he ran!! His mother and I are proud of him for that.

The race I ran against the 450, the gentleman who was riding it is a good man. We had talked early that day and we both know who won and that is good for me. As far as the Dog tags... I could care less but, as for my son and ALL the other Children that put there hearts into the sport they deserve more than that!!!!

As far as what maters to me it is my family and when my son was upset because he didn't get a trophy for his effort I was upset. It also upset me when Little Shannon on the stock 90cc bike was put up against what I think was a 200 or 250cc bike where is the fun in that for her? I was very proud of her that day. She did great for her first time on that bike!! And as far as the Rebal Outlaws THANK YOU ALL for letting my family be a part. For that YOU ARE MY FAMILY!!!! and if I offended any one Sorry!!!!!!! 450 dude Great run and would like to do it again.
