Aaron,
Well we didnt make it after all.
You and Mike need to check your swing arm pivot shaft. It is a hollow bolt. Tyler's broke inside the nut. This has to be a design flaw. This is the second one that I know of that has broke in the same spot. He wasn't even riding hard when it broke. Just glad he wasn't hammering down out on the dunes when it happened.
I just got back from the machine shop. They said it is either not tempered right at the threads or it was over torqued when installed. That would have been done at the factory. We have not had it off. They (Suzuki) is trying to save weight by using the hollow shaft. Bad move on their part.
Tyler's will be a solid shaft tomorrow. I'm having the machine shop build him a solid one and I won't have to worry about that anymore. I will let you guys know what that cost when we get it.

Does anyone know where I can get an air filter somewhere in Oklahoma city? I need one in the next couple days. Guess I should have been specific in my first question
Posted by: nukeim
Brians ATV on S. Western is probably one of your best bets if you want to stay local. They're in the phone book.
Posted by: WildRaptor911
Tyler
If Brians ATV doesnt have it give Phils ATV in El Reno a call at 405-422-ATVS Phill is a real good guy
he usualy gives me alot better deal than Brian.

I need directions to get into the river at Purcell. Went to the depot Sun., but could not see how to go east to the water.
thanks
charlie
Posted by: nukeim
To get to the river at Purcell.
Once you get to the train station, turn right (south) and follow the gravel road for about 1/2 mile.
You will then cross over the tracks (It's pretty obvious where, as that's all you can do), and go back north for about a mile...Or park and unload right there.
There is an area where the gravel road seems to end where there is enough room to park and unload, or you can drive another 100 yards or so, and turn off to the right (through the trees about 50 yards) and park right on the river bottom.
...Or, you can park at/by the depot, unload, and just ride from there.
Hope that made a sense, and helped a little.
Posted by: lvthoutdrs
Thanks Mike,
I thought that might be the way, but all the NO TRESSPASSING signs got my attention.
Back in the seventies we rode Motorcycles in the river from Interstate 40 to Purcell. Can you still ride that distance or do you run into private property concerns.
There was an area south of Norman where the college kids had nude parties. OH! for the good old days.
charlie
Posted by: Bluegoose
Okay you Z-400 and KFX 400 riders. If your swingarm pivot shaft breaks like Ty's did. You can order one from Suzuki/Kawasaki for $41.00 or have Bert's Supply (local machine shop) in Ada build you a solid one for $27.50. It was a no brainer. We are going out to the shop to put the solid shaft in right now.

anyone going to Sahara this weekend...??
Posted by: TyShark9
I would go, but I still have to find some sand tires. Anyone know where I can get some good tires, but not too expensive, for a predator?
Tyler
Posted by: Bluegoose
Jim's Sand Toys in Waynoka will have the best price around on new tires and wheels. He has a huge inventory. He will be cheaper than having them shipped in. He is located 1/2 mle north of the north entrance.
Ron our next trip will be Memorial Day weekend.
Ronnie
Posted by: Spudss
We were thinking of going Memorial Day..But decided to skip the crowd and go a week early....Taking off from here about 4:30 should put me up there about 8-8:30 and then head back Sunday around noon...The weather look great for the weekend hot and a little windy the sand should be good..First sand test for the new 400ex...
Posted by: Bluegoose
Ron,
We went 2 weeks ago. The sand was extremely dry and deep. The wind was blowing about 25mph and the sand was smooth. The locals said that was the slowest weekend since Thanksgiving. It was great. It gave me a chance to test the new tranny in the sand rail. The new tranny was definatley a good investment. Hope you guys have fun.

ok.. I need to find a place in OKC that sells offroad helmets for a pretty good price. My car got broken into last night, and the only thing they took was my helmet, gloves, and goggles. I am so pissed off, but I had the cops come out and I filed a report, and they took some finger prints off the car door where they got in. Hopefully they have a record so I can find them and kill them....lol no, not kill them, but atleast get my stuff back. So, if anyone knows where I can find a helmet and some gloves for a pretty low price, please let me know. Thanks. Also... is anyone riding around OKC this weekend, me and my friend are looking for someone to ride with on sat. and/or sun.
Tyler
Posted by: nukeim
Same places that we mentioned for the air filter are probably your best bet for helmets/gloves/etc.
Phils ATV in El Reno, or Brians ATV here in OKC. I don't know about Phils, but you can probably get a used one at Brians.
Keep in mind that rockymountainatv has some smoking closeout deals on clothing/equipment packages right now with free shipping too.
Posted by: trailride
Tyler
There will be a group of us going to ride at the river memorial day if you want to ride. On the helmet , i would just call all the dealer's in the city. Try Ajax kawasaki, that would be your closest. Most dealers cant sell used helmets but a new cheaper one would only be about 90 $
Brent

Tyler.....I saw some really cheap helmets on JC Whitney one time....you might check there.

BUT there is a OCCRA race there this weekend soooo theres no play days this weekend, the good thing is
you can go and watch the race for free(no spectator fee).

LeRaptor,
Glad to hear that you are interested in the Central Oklahoma ATV Club. We are a fairly new club. We have been in existence less than three months and our membership is currently between 15 and 20 but we hope to grow in time. We don't want to get too big like some of the Texas clubs I have heard about with 200-300 members, but we would like to have enough members so that it's not too difficult to find a riding buddy on any given weekend.
Currently, there are no dues or fees associated with the club, and as long as administrative costs remain low, there won't be. There is no complicated membership application or anything like that. You simply say you want to join, and that's it, you're in. We don't ask for any personal information other than your first name and E-mail address, city of residence and the kind of ATV you ride. We communicate via E-mail some but the primary means of communication is the ATVCONNECTION forums under the "Club News and Events" forum.
You are not required to do any "Trail maintenance" or sign up for any volunteer services, or anything of that nature. We are not affiliated with any political causes or groups. We are just a group of people who like to ride and enjoy riding with others. So if you think you might be interested in joining the Central Oklahoma ATV Club simlpy send me an E-mail telling me you want to join. Also, include your first name, the city you live in and the kind of ATV you ride. I hope to hear from you soon.
Mail to COACatvclub@aol.com
Respectfully,
Bob

Yall' Missed it!!!
I was able to prove that with proper application of throttle you can (and will) drive your front wheels over the trailer railings, forcing your two best friends to lift it off the rails with ya. We had a pretty good time at the river. The following people were present: Bobman, Brent, Shane, Christie, Joey (My neighbor) another Joe (Brent & Shane's Buddy) Ronnie, BJ and Ty. Fortunately not ALL of them were present when my FAT A$$ fell off the bike in the river. All in all we had a great time and believe it or not....NO MAJOR MECHANICAL FAILURES, although Shane was forced to change oil in a pinch. We all got to witness some real backwoods mechanicin' on that one.

Bob,
Nice ride you got yourself!!! You all need to see Bob's new ride. It's a nice one. Wish I had seen your two riding stunts though.
We are going to Little Sahara this weekend is anyone is up for it. I'm going up Friday morning to get a camping spot. We will be there all weekend.

I may be able to ride friday afternoon for awhile, I have to meet a guy at that McDonalds by Chickasaw at noon so I might just take my quad with me and hit purcell on the way home if I don't have to umpire that night. I won't know about that until tonight.
Aaron
Posted by: lvthoutdrs
Tyler,
I have only been there once with a quad, but had a good ride. I used to ride the river 25 years ago on motorcycles and it brought back good memories.
Go to Purcell. Get on Main Street. It is one block south of the highway that crosses the river between Purcell and Lexington. Go to the far east end of the street and go down the hill to the train depot. turn right for about 3/4 to 1 mile. Look for the first chance to cross the railroad tracks going east. Turn East across the tracks. Iwould park here and unload. Ride North along the east side of the tracks. The river is to your right. Take any of the roads going east to the river. The water is down and you can go as far as you like either up or down the river. There are some trails on the west side of the river between where you park and the water.
have fun riding
let me know when you are going and if I can I will meet you

Tyler,
I assume you will be approaching Purcell from the north...If So...here are some driving directions
From I-35 take the first Purcell Exit (I think this is exit 94 or 95 and it exits to the left) and Proceed south on Green St. thru Purcell until you get to Washington St. (there will be a Carl's Jr on your right). Here you will turn left (east) on Washington St. and drive until you reach Canadian Ave. Turn right (South) go one block to a 4-way stop sign. Turn left (east) and proceed down the steep hill. The depot will be immediately in front of you.
Posted by: Bobman
Tyler,
One follow up, Please do not park at the actual AMTRAk depot. There is an old abandoned warehouse that is just north of the depot, please park on the north side of the warehouse. The railroad people tend to get upset if you (we) park at the actual Trail Depot.
They even posted a sign stating no trailers.

You guys should have went to Little Sahara with us over the weekend. That is the wildest ride I have ever been on. We were running with the two SandCars (David & Roger Cox ) from Ft. Worth on Friday evening. Rolling over the crest of the dunes and running horizonal at 70+ mph is a rush, especially when the front end comes off the ground 2-3 ft. Wheelies at 70+ mph is wild, especially is you are going horizontal with the world. I even spoked myself a couple of times. The recent mods to the engine and new tranny in the sand rail are a perfect combo.
I had to resort to the V-Force on Sunday. My foot was a liitle heavy when we came off the dune and bottomed the rear susspension out. It stripped the teeth off the inner splines inside the rear torsion housing. Well it is time to get out the torch and welder. I think I will use a "King Kong" housing this time. It will be ready for the fall runs.
We had a blast.

The Suzuki Survives........
Haven't even made the first payment on it and I have already rolled the Suzuki (and myself) down the side of a mountain with jagged rocks and sticks and it DID NOT EVEN SCRATCH THE PLASTIC. It landed upside down on me and I expected to see all kinds of carnage when I finally had the nerve to look (after my uncle pulled it off of me) but it was in almost perfect condition. I do have a small place where the plastic came apart but I can use a screw driver to screw it back on. The machine should be okay. I broke its fall. My back is really sore and my left hand was crushed under the machine, the hand is useable just really swollen abd sore to the touch.

Aaron, I got a Suzuki Twin Peaks 700 4x4. I guess I got it May 28. Haven't posted much been really busy with work and then I went camping. I have to take it over today for the "post break in " check up. I know its probably a rip off and not necessary but I guess I will go a long and be a sheep to the face less, soul less machine that we call corporate American industry and pay them their Judas blood money. I still can't belive that I rolled it in that kind of terrain (Steep hill. sharp jagged rocks, 4 ft sapplings, deep holes etc) and it didnt even scrath the pastic. Of course I guess a lot of it had to do with the fact that it mostly landed on ME and not the sharp rocks.

Hey guys the 19th is fine with me, 7:00 PM work for everyone? If not please advise. That gives everyone who is inclined time to ride (Gives me time to get home and get my quad loaded) I think we should meet right under the bridge. Those who wish to Cook out may do so and we can all bring whatever we want to munch on. If Anyone has any different ideas please speak your piece.
I look forward to seeing everyone there. IF there is anyone who can not make the 19th please let me know.
Bob "This could be a blast" Bobman
Posted by: bearaf
7:00 sounds good to me. Where you turn right to take the trails to the bridge, if you go straight north about 100 yards to the next right you drive straight out onto the river. Its a 10 second drive to the river with no problems. Little honda civics and accords get on the river right there. I say we meet there that way everyone can have their truck and trailer with them. Its easy to get to no matter what you drive!
Just a thought. Aaron
Posted by: trailride
Aaron
I like that idea. I really didnt like riding down to that in all that dust. Is that the way we went the first time we rode ?
Posted by: TyShark9
Thats where I'll be parked. But I'll probably get there around 4 or 5. So if anyone wants to come early, I'll be there. See everyone then.
Tyler
Posted by: bearaf
Yes it is except we turned in at the first big turn that wound down to the bridge. If you go 100 yards past that entrance the road goes right straight down to the river. Its maybe a 40 yard drive onto the river from the r/r tracks. Super easy to get there.
Aaron
Posted by: trailride
So go past the first left and go about 100yds then turn left and it goes to the river ? I wil try to make it about 1 pm that day to ride.
Brent
Posted by: bearaf
Brent you'll actually turn right - east to go to the river. From the station go south to the r/r crossing then cross the tracks then back North for about a mile and go past the first big turn right to the river, you can't miss that one its a big mud hole. Keep going North about a hundred yards and the road will go east straight to the river.
Aaron
Posted by: nukeim
Yeah...the turn is about 100 yards past a little yellow sign that says "P-65" or something like that.
There was a Chevy Corsica down there tearing it up last weekend, so I would imagine that most of you guys trucks shouldn't have any problems.
If you have a trailer, it might drag on a couple of rocks, but not badly. Ronnie made it down there with his long-a$$ trailer on his diesel, so anybody should be able to make it.BR>
I may actually try and camp down there that weekend.

Riding Report
I went on a ride with Keith and his Wife Lou Sunday morning at Purcell. We had a pretty good rife, the river was down so it was pretty easy to cross in most places had a pretty good time, got jabbed in the neck by a sharp stick but other than that it was great. How was everyone else's ride this weekend?
Bob
Posted by: TyShark9
well I was at purcell for about 4 hours on friday..... It was fun, but There was not a single person out there. I had the whole place to myself I almost got stuck in a HUGE mud hole. I guess it had a really deep hole right in the middle of it. The water came all the way up to the muffler... haha I was lucky. Would have sucked to be stuck there, cause I was about a mile and a half from my truck. oh, and I broke a weld spot of the back left fender, so now it maks a really annoying buzzing sound... so I will fix that this friday. and one last thing.... this is to Arron and Mike.. I finally Topped out in 5th gear It was fast as hell .... face was getting pulled back..... I think I was doing like Mach 9 or something....lol anyways, looking forward to meeting everyone this weekend..

Reminder...
Ladies and Gentlemen,
We will be meeting under the bridge on the S. Candaian near Purcell. The meeting will begin at 7:00 PM and will last as long as long as it takes (regular attendees know these are quite informal and Robert's Rules of Parliamentary Procedure are seldom enforced) to decide when and where we want the next group ride to take place (not to mention WHEN).
I am looking forward to meeting all of those whom I have not had the pleasure in the past. I am really hoping for a good turnout. In the event of rain we can always meet at The Broken Spoke in Lexington. IF you newcomers need info on finding the Broekn Spoke please let me know.

Went to Little Sahara on Sunday. Got there about 9:00 AM. The wind was perfect, smoothing the sand and forming good sharp edges. You could ride the ridges and bowls without having to cross a lot of rough ruts. There was not hardly anyone there. The campground was only about a third full. Didn't get hot until about 2:00.
Had about as much fun as riding Glamis
See all Sat. at Purcell.

Somethign very interesting came in my Mail box...
Bobman,
My name is James Hale and I'm a City Councilman in Seminole, Ok. I just found your information on the internet tonight and wanted to inform you (and your members) of some exciting news.
I, and some other City Councilmen, along with MANY local and state supporters, are lobbying to get ATV Trails allowed at Sportsman Lake.
Many of the local ATV riders have organized a meeting to be held tonight (Monday 6-14-04) at 7:00 pm at the National Coon Hunters Association Building. The Coon Hunters Building is located in the main camping area (Cove 3) of Sportsman Lake, across the street from the Lake Ranger's house.
Sorry for the short notice, but as I mentioned, I just found your information tonight.
The ATV riders are forming an ATV "Club" or "Organization" that will carry one united voice to support and represent the ATVers in Seminole County, as well as the entire state of Oklahoma.
I hope you and your organization will plan to attend this meeting. Your support will benefit all ATVers.
Feel free to bring as many members, representatives and supporters as you like. This meeting will affect, not only Seminole County, but ATVing across the state as a whole.
Please feel free to contact me for more information at:
cell phone: (405) 245-3553
Business phone: (405) 382-3202
Sincerely,
City Councilman James Hale
PS - This issue will come before the Seminole City Council for an approval/disapproval vote in the very near future. Please make plans to attend in support of ATVing and your right to ride (Time and place of the vote to be announced soon).

Well my ride on sunday at the south canadian river was not as good as yours bob. I dont know how the river at purcell could have been lower than where i rode. We could only go about 3/4 mile one way and about 500ft another. Should have went to purcell. Its the same distance to purcell as it is to rivermist.
Me and my wife will be under the bridge close to 1pm on saturday. I hope some of you guy's and gals can make it early to ride.
Brent
Posted by: Bobman
Brent,
The crossings at Purcell are much flatter than those at River Mist, flatter and wider I guess. I only got up to my floorboards once. BUT, I didn't go really far down river, we rode the trails as much as the river.
Bob
Oh yeah...we did a LOT of Brent Style riding...Hahahah We were out there a little over 2 hours and only put like 12 miles on the quads.
Posted by: Heywood
hey bob,
lou and i will be at the river a little early saturday. probably around 2 or 3. we'll be up in the shade playin around on the trails, but we'll keep checking under the bridge to see if there are other early arrivals.
hey, isnt there a name for things that crawl around in the dirt and hang out under bridges? just wondering.
Keith
Posted by: nukeim
Don't know what time I'll be there, but be there I will.
As for things that hang out under bridges, and crawl in the dirt.....Well....I believe that would make us trolls.

i was gonna say 'trolls', but didnt know who might be offended.
ok ... i'm lying ... i never have cared about who i offend. BR>

Maybe we could show my wife a little safety We should be there between 1-2. Now from where we parked at the last time i was there, which way is it to the crossing ? South ? cross the tracks, then back north?
Brent
Posted by: bearaf
That is correct.
Posted by: TyShark9
I'll be there sometime between 3 and 4 on sat. Will have a full cooler also and I will also be promoting safty with my helmet... I say always wear a helmet, cause you never know what will happen. Better to be safe than dead See you guys on sat.

I should be able to get down there by 4:45 or 5:00 PM. I just hope that those of you comign down at 2 or 3 don't get bored and decide to go home by the time the meeting actually starts at 7:00. If you start getting bored you can go into town and wait a while at the restaurant and then head back down for the meeting. Has anyone heard anything from Kevin (Camouflage Praire Kevin) recently? He was with us at Prague, I hope he comes back. I also look forward to seeing Charlie and his son, JR & Dawn, and I really look forward to meeting all of the new people.
Bob "I don't want to see any ambulance's hauling club members out" Bobman
By the way, in Purcell, the Ambulence service AND the Funeral home are owned by the same people. Do they really have a whole lot of incentive as paramedics...I mean, afterall that is a golden opportunity to double business...either way they get you coming or going or both.
Posted by: nukeim
I met one of their 911 operators in a bar a few months back...Hot little thing...But once she found out that I rode ATVs down there, she wouldn't shut up about how many calls she has taken from drunk ATVers.

Beer is out of the Cooler now
Posted by: Bluegoose
We went across the bridge at Lexington/Purcell today at 1:30pm. The water is so low. Trails looked dusty. We should be able to ride as far as a person wants to.
I just hope it rains here this evening, then I wouldn't have to go to the hay field tomorrow. Then I could go ride!!!
I will post in the morning whether or not we are coming. Just depends on the weather. I need to ride. I haven't rode since Little Sahara two weeks ago.
Matt swears that I have recovered from my workaholic sickness. Now all I want to do is play.

On another note...Hey Aaron, here are a couple of pics of you from Draper.

Those are very cool pics. The slide pic looks like a kawasaki advertisement. What kind of camera are you using mike?
Brent

MIkey...no kidding what kind of digicam do you have? Man when you can see individual dust particles I think we have reached the pinnacel of optic arts.
Bob
Posted by: nukeim
I actually shrunk those quite a bit to save some of my webspace.
It's a Fuji Finepix 3800. 3.2 megapixel...But I think I took those pics at only 2mp.
It will take some pretty nice pictures, the problem is timing it. It has horrendous shutter lag...But every digital camera I've ever used had that problem, my Minolta 35mm SLR is the same way too.
Posted by: nukeim
** Click here ** for the same shot...Except it's me in it.

Thanks Mike, those pics did turn out good! Ever thought of giving up computers and going into photography
Posted by: bearaf
Mike, any of those pics of you jumping turn out?
Posted by: nukeim
Yeah...I put the best one in the pic section in my profile, they should be up soon.
Funny thing is, the ones of you jumping turned out best, but the ones that we took in the woods (on the hills)....Only the ones of me turned out. Weird.

Tyler,
I have no idea, but you might do a search in the Polaris forum or post your question. Every time I have asked a question in the Polaris forum I have gotten good answers pretty quick.
Aaron
Posted by: bearaf
Hey All,
I just talked to Bob and he would like everyone to know that if for some reason the rain does not subside by the time we were going to meet that we will move from the bridge to the Broken Spoke. The weather should be fine but just in case... If anyone needs any directions, let me know - I will be heading out around 2:00.
Aaron

Man, I feel like a can of warmed over goats a$$.....Thanks Aaron.
Posted by: bearaf
Yea, but your used to being up all night!
Posted by: LERaptor
Where and what is the Broken Spoke?
Posted by: bearaf
The broken spoke is a restaurant in lexington. If you go straight east across the bridge, stay to the right when you get into Lexington and it is right there. You can't miss it. Here is my cell# if anyone needs it. 229-2167
Aaron

I don't think the rain will be a problem, but myu friend thats coming just has a 2 wheel drive truck. do you think he'll be able to make it back to the river? Or can he park somewhere else?
Posted by: TyShark9
you should be able to make it. I have a Z71 but I have never had to use 4 wheel drive out there. So I think you will be fine.
Posted by: bearaf
Thats all I have also, I don't think he'll have a problem getting to the river. If it is too muddy then he can park pretty much park anywhere on the east side of the tracks. I have a purple/dark blue dodge with a mirrored OSU tag on the front.
Aaron
Posted by: LERaptor
Ahhhhh bearaf you have a osu tag, man we're going to have a problem. LOL j/k See you guys there and thanks for the info, I'm heading out right now. I'll be in a White Z-71 extebded and my friend will be in a brown Chevy Extended cab.

Guys let me know how it went today. It finally quit raining here around 4:00pm. Not worth the ride by the time we would load and then drive there. I'll try and ride tomorrow in the mud.
Bobman,

I was planning on being at the meeting BUT i was stuck at Stillwater yamaha most of the day.
How did the meeting go?
Raymond

Raymond and Ronnie,
We had a great time. We got to see a sand rail flip (3 times) we got to see a guy skiing on the river being pulled by a quad. We had brownies that my mom made. We rode, we talked we met A LOT of new people. We talked about two upcoming rides for SE Oklahoma and for Little Sahara again. All in all we had a great time.
Bob "Oh yeah we saw a wandering drunk on the river looking for his brother who rode off on his bike" Bobman

Did anyone get any pics or video of the rail flipping.. or the quad propelled skier...Sounds like everyone had a good time.. What are the date for the rides for LS and SE OK ?? Where about in SE OK...

There are some pics on my page here (Click on the camera icon) of the area we like to ride in SE Oklahoma. Look them over and see if it looks like any place you would like to ride.

Time to rehash the "old" t-shirt thing again. Im up for shirts and stickers. What do you guys think. I can try to find a shop to make them here. bob had a place , but they wanted a min of 25 shirts an order. Well the place i know of probably would let us do it for 10 . Even a shirt at a time but it would be more expensive as singles.
YA
or
NA

Brent,
I'm in for shirts and stickers as long as they dont go over about $25 apiece.

Yeah I'll check and see. Give me a couple of days.

RIDDLE ME THIS OH WISE ONES.......
Hey guys and gals, during the last meeting we talked about a trip to SE Oklahoma. Keith and I are going to go down beforehand and clear some of the trails that have fallen victim to storms, erosion, etc. The question is...who would like a scavenger hunt? Keith and I can plant the items while we are down there and then write simple to follow clues that would make the ride more interesting. Is that somethign you all would be interested in or would we just be wasting our time and money? I think it would be a cool idea and somethign we could all participate in. Let me know what you guys think.
Bob
Posted by: trailride
CRAZY BOB
Posted by: Bobman
Yeah Brent...
Ya know a scavenger hunt.. you have a list of things to accquire and there are clues to give you hints on where to find it. I think it would be pretty cool. It won't be too hard and the prizes will not be anything to jump up and down about but it could make the ride more fun.
Bob
Posted by: trailride
Sounds cool to me bob. But i want you and Kieth on my team.
Posted by: nukeim
How many clues could you come up with....Two?
-"It's in the trees".
-"It's in the rocks".
Posted by: Heywood
i made up a good clue ... 'it aint a snake !!' cause i dont want anyone bringin back a snake BR>
bob and i talked and we may be leaning toward a poker run in lieu of the scavanger hunt. its up to you guys i guess.
we just wanna maximize the fun, whatever that takes .

How about we do "russian roulette drags"?
Everybody removes all but one lug nut from all four wheels....Then we drag.

Posted by: trailride
Well guy's my wife checked on the shirt deal. The place she checked so far can make a minimum of 12 shirts. The only detail she forgot is the priceGive me a few more days and ill have more info.
Brent
Posted by: LERaptor
My buddy that works at USA screen printing is on vacation he's due back tomm. How many shirts are we going to need? And what kind of design if any do we want? Just so he can give me a quote on price.
Posted by: Bobman
Phil..........
Here we go again...hahahahaha No one was ever able to decied on an exact number or a specific design. We had a design submitted by Matt, but not enough shirts last time. Everyone submit your orders for shirts to Phil and Brent .hahaha.
Bob
Posted by: WildRaptor911
OK Bob, Phil or Brent Ill take 2 of them in a large!
Thats 2 for me what about everyone els?
Raymond
Posted by: LERaptor
Bob or Brent I want 2 in XXL. Hahahahahaha
Posted by: trailride
Me and my wife(crash) counted the shirts and we came up with 13. So if we come up with a design again we can order them. I was thinkg a logo on the front and a large different logo on the back. Kind of what we had before.
Brent"i wonder if me and bob's shirts count as four" Storie
Posted by: Heywood
they should be able to give us a ballpark figure for a small 2 color logo on the front, and a large 2 color screenprint on the back. we can argue about logo and design at the next meeting. at least we'll have an idea of what its gonna cost us.
just my 2 cents

Tyler

OKay Brent....
So what is this thing on July 5th gonna be like? Are you guys going to Purcell or Rivermist? I think it would be pretty cool to go to the River where we did last time down at Purcell and make a day of it. We can cook out and have a couple coolers...the whole 9 yards. What do you (and anyone else, Mike, Aaron, Keith, Phil, Tyler, Ronnie, Charlie, etc, etc etc). I would be down for it.
Bob "I have no life" Bobman.
Posted by: Heywood
i'm in for the 5th. i'm taking the family to the lake for the 4th, but we'll be back around noon on the 5th. who else is in?
Posted by: nukeim
I'm already making plans to be at the River (Purcell) for the duration of the 5th....And depending on how that goes, I might just stay, and ride on the 6th.
Of course, that plan could change if you guys had a better place in mind to ride.
Either way, I'm riding that day....but not in the hay, and I don't make things out of clay.....
OK, I'll stop now.
Posted by: Bobman
Apparently Mike was an Israelite slave forced to work in the mud pits to create bricks to honor Ramses...or was it just Yul Brenner...okay I too will stop now.
I will be there on the 5th and I will have fun
Posted by: bearaf
I won't be able to make it on the fifth, but if anyone can ride on the 6th let me know, I'll be back in town by then.
Aaron
Posted by: TyShark9
I'll Be there on the 5th. And might be able to ride a little on the 6th. What time are we planning on meeting??
Tyler
Posted by: LERaptor
Brandon and I going to Lake Murray on the 5th if anyone wants to come.
Posted by: Bluegoose
Guys I wouldn't even consider Rivermist. The local land owners have closed all of the trails and the river is almost bank to bank. We rode there yesterday. They drowned out 4 of the 12 quads and we towed two back to the house. One of them is a Praire 650 with a 2" lift kit and 27" Mud Sharrks. It rolled over on it's side. It took 2 praires and a grizzly to get that thing out of the river. It will be a while before there is much riding at Rivermist/Hwy 99 bridge. The river has several major deep spots and pretty swift current.
Ronnie
Posted by: Bobman
Brent,
What time are you thinking opf arriving on July 5th? Morning? afternoon?
Bob
Posted by: trailride
Bob
We will try to be at purcell about 10-10:30am. The river will be down as long as we dont get any heavy rain between now and then. Cooking out sonds cool . Who has a little grill they could bring ? If we get together on this and everyone bring a little, we could have ourselvs a good cookout. Im up for any of this.
p.s. Who's up for a little knee boarding on the 5th ?
Posted by: Bobman
Brent,
Just out of curiousity...is anyone doing anything cool on the 4th?? I know I have nothing planned and I was thinking that I might possibly camp out at the river over night on the 4th (I have to check with the rest of my family to see what they have planned) so I can be there early on the 5th (because we all know that July 5th has been designated "National go to the River Day" and there will be 10000000000000 million people all clammoring for a camping spot on the wonderfully scenic S. Canadian River. But anyway...if anyone wants to go to the river Sunday night and camp/ride/BS let me know. I will find out what the rest of my clan has planned and post my findings here.
Brent...I think I can scam a small grill/hibachi fvor our use.
Bob "I still have no life" Bobman

Guy's
I have the grill thing covered . We should have a good group coming up from shawnee. My latest count is 9 so we should have a good time.
Brent" doing my rain dance in reverse" Storie
Posted by: nukeim
I have a little charcoal grill/hibachi/whatever that I'll be bringing as well.
Oh, and if you guys want...I can get 1/2 lb hamburger patties from the place that supplies them to Chilis grill.
I won't name the price because that would just make you angry every time you go to Chilis from now on...But suffice it to say...I can get a box of 32 patties for a song. If you guys let me know, I'll get them.
I'll be there as early as I can on the 5th..No promises though, I'll be watching the flashy lights over Eufala on the 4th.
Posted by: Bobman
Well Kids it's official.......
I have nothing planned on the 4th. So I will possibly camp out overnight on the 4th. If anyone else wants to tag along let me know. I probably wont go if it is going to be just me (Not afraid of the adark just gets really boring if you camp alone) so if anyone else wants to camp the night of the 4th give me a holler.
Bob "I have no life" Bobman
Posted by: nukeim
I'm not going if it's just going to be you either Bob.
You get grumpy when Keith isn't in bed by 10.BR>
On another note, I'll buy a lot of -insert beverage of choice here- for anybody who can help me fix the brakelights on my 92 Blazer....They're giving me fits. I can't figure out why the lights will not come on.
