Well i have been riding more she hasnt been on it yet , too cold for her.
I purchased my 650 from ajax, the only reason why, is it was a demo they used at the ballon festival in 2002. Other than that i would have went out of state to avoid tax.

When I went to the House of Kawisaki for a KFX 400, they had one that was used (3 weeks, and the guy brought it back) and they wouldn't budge on the price a dime (They were asking a "new" price)....Seemed like nice folks though.

I bought my Z (Same bike, different color) from OK Honda on Sunnylane, and paid $800 less for a brand new bike.

You should get the DVX 400 Aaron, it looks different, and has a slightly higher "cool" factor

      Posted by: Bluegoose

      Aaron,

If you are interested in a Arctic Cat version of the 400, try Motorcycle Parts Co in Ada(1-888-9205)(Talk to Jim). He had two or three of them. He told me about a week ago that he really needed to get some out, so people could see them. He is in the city limits though. They do have the cool factor over the KFX400. Personally I like the Kawasaki dealer(Davidson Imp 1-800-371-2423 ask for Brandon) the best and they are outside the city limits. Lower taxes. Brandon had a green one on the floor the last time I was out there. They are the John Deere dealer in our area. They seem to get alot of my money, one way or the other.

      Brent,
Now it is time to start modifing the V. I swear that putting the HMF duals, K&N filter, Napa 7335 hose and jetting it properly gave us a 30% increase. Almost scary now. I will be glad when it stays warm all the time and I can ride enough so that everything is like a second nature to me like it was on my 4X4 quad.

      Raymond.
It is a good thing that I don't live any closer to Little Sahara than I do. These warm days have given me a bad case of sand flu. You guys talking about the dunes and then warm weather. Well I can't hardly take it. I must get a trip to the dunes, real quick. I'm addicted to the sand. I'm a sand gunky!!! Now there I said it and I feel better, NOT.....

I have the pink spring , but next month im getting the DMC duals, K&N, and i didnt know about the napa 7335 on the v, i have it on my prairie. I will also be getting the AC nerfs w/propegs, AC bumper, AC grab bar, and my 22" sandstars should be in today also. OL>Brent

Central Oklahoma ATV Club will be having the February meeting at 7:00 PM on Saturday, February 28, 2004
The location will be The Broken Spoke restaurant in Lexington, OK. Most of you know where this location is, however if anyone needs driving directions please feel free to to E-Mail Central Oklahoma ATV Club and I will provide driving directions from your location.

I am assuming that there will be people who wish to ride prior to the actual meeting. The 7:00 PM start time should give everyone time to ride and load up before the actual meeting. I look forward to seeing everyone there.

I can't go to the meeting, but I could probably ride for an hour or two, earlier in the day...So count me in for the important part

Glad to hear it. I look forward to seeing you and riding with ya.

        Hey Aaron,

There is one of the new Honda 450's at Brians ATV on Western...BR>
I was scared to ask how much though.

        Posted by: HavinSomeFun

There will also be a new Honda 450 still in the crate at Jones Off Road. I was over there today looking at a V-force for sale.

        Posted by: WildRaptor911

Did anyone ride today, I went to the Stillwater 500 riding area and rode about 30 miles. Needless to say my butt is a little sore due to the not very well padded seat of the yfz450. Hope you had as good a ride as I did and I can barely wait for the Little Sahara trip!!!!!

Hope to see everyone at the meeting!

I rode today for about 4 hours, It was to nice not to ride!

How about we (The Club) plan a trip to the HL mudnationals http://www.highlifter.com/mudnationals.html
Looks like a blast, Is anyone else interested in going?

        Posted by: bearaf

What's the hl mud natonals? Where's it at? I'm pretty clueless sometimes.

What were they asking for the Honda 450? I was going to go out there today, but they I asked them for 3 parts and they didn't have any of them so I didn't go. I didn't ask them if they still had the kfx 400 though. Was it still there. The 700 is just a little too big for me. I want to be able to throw mine around a little.

My wife just told me to do what ever because she was tired of me tearing stuff up every time I go out.
        Go figure! Aaron

        D@mn....If I ever get married....I want a wife like that! BR>
Jones has a few of them in the Trader for "$3899 and up". These are 2003s. They have a YFZ450 for $5899 too

        Posted by: HavinSomeFun

Jones Off Road had one z400 still there, It was in ok-good shape. White in color. The yfz 450 was mine and it is Sold. They do have about 100 wheelers in there and 40 more coming in on Monday. These guys sell the heck out of these things. So if you want the best ones get there tuesday! I know all these guys very well and they will treat you great. There prices are cheaper than anywhere else.
The v-force is like new and they will sell it for $5200

The MUDNATIONALS. go to http://www.highlifter.com/mudnationals.html for details. I really am considering the trip!

        Posted by: blacksheepsix

Havinsomefun, I just checked out the website for the MudNationals. That looks like a blast. It also looks like they have something for everybody. With sand drags, trails, and mudboggin, the sportbikes and ute's both will have something to do. I'm all for gettin a trip together, I'll just have to save up enough cash for the carwash afterwards

        Posted by: HavinSomeFun

Like I said I am seriously considering the trip to the mudnationals. I know the area it is in and it would be a blast. Like you said a little bit for everyone including a poker run. Lets start planning it!

Anyone else get any riding done this past (beautiful) weekend?

I got out to Draper for a couple of hours today, got some trail riding out of my system. Pretty crowded though.

        Posted by: trailride

I got to ride around my yard and my wife finally rode her v force and she loves it, in fact my prairie did pretty good in a drag with it, ofcourse the v is all stock, but not for long , i dont think it will do so well then. OL>Brent

        Sure it will.....Uphill.....In the mud.

Mike is right...the key to racing her is track selection. Choose a track that is full of 6" - 10" rocks and some mud holes and maybe a river crossing or two.

He!!, if it's warm enough, I might go on the 11th-12th of March. Just for giggles and grins.

          Posted by: Bluegoose

          Brent,

I'm runnig full duall HMF system with 145 front and 148 rear jetting. Front screw out 2 1/2 turns and rear out 2 3/4 turns out. We put a Napa hose on and cut out the little wall in the air box.

We are definately going to Little Sahara on March13-15. It will have to be raining or snowing to keep us from going. It will be "Margaritaville" on Sat. night in honor of BJ's birthday.

Mike come up or stay there and will celebrate your birthday also.

          Aaron,
KFX 400 at Davidson Implement in Ada is $5150. Dakota bought a orange one yesterday. They have both green and orange.

See you all on Sat. night.

Ronnie, Thanks a lot, I'm going to have to get directions from you to that place. About how far a drive is it to Ada from OKC? I'm not going to be able to make it Sat due to the highschool state wrestling tournament at the fairgrounds this weekend. I've been roped into keeping score at one of the 5a tables. I'm not sure of the Sat. schedule yet but I'm sure I'll be working the finals, usually do. I am planning on Little Sahara though, My schedule is clear. As a matter of fact almost all of my weekends are clear from here on out!

          Aaron

          Posted by: nukeim

From your house it's about an hour and a half to two hours Aaron. It was an hour and 15 minutes from mine last time I drove it.

          Posted by: bearaf

Thats not too bad. Especially if it would save me about 4-$500 bucks. I haven't ever bought one new before, but I've been reading about a setup fee. Is that extra or can I just take one off the floor? The cowboy fan in me wants to go with the orange and black but I've always been a mean green fan!

          Aaron

          Posted by: trailride

Aaron I think the orange looks cool. And for the set up fee , thats all made up , always get the out the door price.

Hey Guys, Has a final date been set yet for the Little Sahara trip? I thought it was going to be the weekend of the 20th, but I see where some are going the weekend of the 13th. Just trying to figure out when to take off work.

            Posted by: nukeim

So far I think there are 3 or 4 different people going (some bringing friends and family, some not).

Ronnie (Bluegoose) is going the weekend before, and I'm thinking of going that weekend too....But it's my b-day that Sat, and my g/f would have a little lamb if I hurt myself like I did during the holidays.

            Posted by: trailride

We will discuss the little sahara trip at the meeting, but im planning on going march 27th and 28th . So far there are about 8 of us from shawnee going at that time. It dont hurt to go both dates if ya want, but i cant take off till the 26th. Plus it gives me time to get my wifes v ready for the trip.
              Brent

              Posted by: blacksheepsix

I'm thinking the 13th may be a little early. It's apt to still be pretty cool, especially at night. I may try to go 27th also. Plus I just got the CEO/Treasurer of my house (the wife) to approve the purchase of another 4wheeler, that might give me a little more time to get it.

By the way, if anyone is interested, I will be selling my 2003 Yamaha V-Star Custom 650, to finance the the atv. I'm asking $4800 for it. I will also be in the market for a Honda 400EX, if anybody knows where one is at reasonable. Just send a private Message if anyone is interested.

              Aaron,
Like Brent said get the out the door price. Some dealers try to use the type of "BS" that some of the car dealers do. Davidson Implement is our local John Deere dealer. They are located 3 miles west of Ada on highway 3W. Easy to find, right on the 4 lane. I know that Brandon and the crew won't be there March 5-7 (next weekend) weather permitting. The entire shop and sales staff are going to Little Sahara. I wish it was the same time as our County Spring Livestock show, I'd go with them.

              Blacksheepsix,
The reason we go so early is, it is spring break. My wife and I are both school teachers, our oldest son is in college and our youngest is still in Junior High. Our trips get planned around our breaks. We plan but sometimes it is to cold, but then sometimes it is great. Heck I have gone in January before.

              Brent,
I'm kinda planning on going the 27th and 28th also. I am thinking about renting a storage building and just leaving my sand rail up there for a couple months, provided I don't break anything on any of our runs. I haven't really bounced this off the wife yet. That would make us going every other weekend for 6 weeks. I know I would love it, but we will see what happens and if we break anything. We have been very fortunate the last few times. Just clean filters and general maintenance.

We are going on Easter weekend (April 9-12) if anyone wants to plan that far in advane. The boys from Fort Worth/Dallas area called me yesterday and want to go on Easter with us. They are a blast to ride with.

              Ladies and Gentlemen,

I changed jobs on Tuesday and I had to begin training. My training schedule will prohibit me from making the ride and meeting schedule for Saturday in Lexington. THis should be the only meeting I will miss due to my new schedule. Keith and Brent will be there to to moderate the meeting. I wish I could be there but there is just no possible way to make it.

Also....if anyone is going to ride before the meeting I need a favor. One of our members who has never been to the river, Kevin, is going to show up to ride, I told him I would meet him at the parking area and show him the path to the river. Can someone arrange to meet him there?

Well guys and gals, After this meeting saturday i would like to try to have another in march before the 27th if we can . By then we should know who is going the 27th to little sahara. Trust me i would love to go the 13th but thats just not possible right now. This way it will give everyone 2 chances to go in march. The way ronnie talks , you could go on any givin weekend and find him there. But i think i would atleast try to go 3-4 times this year. But most of my time will be spent at the river between seminole and ada, i think everyone should try that spot.Ronnie knows what im talking about , its a blast.

                Mike ,

I told him to watch the boards because usually people will start telling what time they plan to show up to ride. I will send him Mail telling him to watch the board and seee when everyone planned to hit the river. I really feel bad that I can't be there to meet him but the damn job got in the way. I will send him mail asking him to post on here what time he plans to hit the parking area and hopefully somone can show him where to cross the tracks and cut towards the river.

Hey Bobman, sorry to hear you have to work. You guys dont have to worry about me on Saturday. I am going to deliever my new Deerstand and some other stuff to my deer lease first. Only 8 or so months untill deer season!
I would like to ride with everyone eventually, it just doesnt have to be this saturday. If I can pick up a V-force (planning on it next Tuesday) I will be headed to Little Sahara with everyone. I have been searching for a Lava Red V-force and Finally found one in Oklahoma. Now if I can talk them off FULL RETAIL I will be the new owner.

I also want to extend an invitation to everyone (as I have before) I live next to Lake Overhaulser and have acces to the river from my House. It is a Blast down there to ride with every type of terrain/situation you want to get yourself in and a few you dont. It is fun on Sport Quads, it is fun on utility quads, It is just fun! I ride there almost every weekend. So if you need a new place to ride or someone to ride with let me know.

                Brent,
I know the spot well. It is actually the same as in my back yard. 3 to 4 miles at the most. We rode there last sunday. The river is still a little high to go very far down the river bed. I like the rides to the oil derricks at Allen and to Asher bridge or Wanette bridge. I think I will have to invest in a bigger gas tank for the V-Force before those long rides. BJ is not fond of hauling gas on her 4 wheeler. Can't understand it, she does not smoke. She will haul the important stuff though, snacks and drinks.

                Blacksheep,
Yes the river is still to high to go very far. We put in at the bridge on Hiway 99, just south of Rivermist.

Is anybody going to ride Saturday before the meeting. Time? There is a couple of college students that ride out of our place that is trying to break in new qauds this week. Need some hours on them before Little Sahara. One is Predator 500 and new orange KFX 400. They were hard on the pasture last night. We will ride somewhere Saturday. All depends on some of their work schedules. Construction jobs and rain is interfering with their riding time. Sorry about their luck. I'm riding.

Then it wouldn't go past the pivot point on the swing arm UGHH! I'm going to have to take the entire swing arm off to get this damn sprocket on. I'm already mechanically challenged! Kevin,
I'm sorry about the miscommunication. I thought nobody else was going. We must have missed you about 15 minutes. We were running late. We were rewiring one of the trailers getting ready for the Little Sahra trip and one of the boys had to go move his grandma to a new place. There was 9 of us from the Ada area ridng yesterday.

                  Mike,
I'll go look at Tyler bike and see if there is any way to build you some brackets out of aluminum to reenforce the fenders. I made some brackets for Matt's raptor last year when he wrecked at Little Sahar on Easter weekend. Later he got new plastic. Do you have a digital camers? If so, send me a picture of the broken place. I will PM you my email address. The one on this site is not correct and I can't seem to get it changed on the info page.

                  Little Sahara Rules and Regulations.

It includes the Updated Regulations, Dune Fees, Camping Fees and Park Safety Rules.

Other things to think about for Little Sahara.

                  1. I strongly suggest wearing a HELMET. (Matt would not be here today if not for a helmet last Easter).

                  2. Googles--Must have if you want to see.

                  3. Some type of light for the top of your whip for night rides. Glow sticks, etc. Wire a bulb to the top. Do something. You cant' see the flag at night. The light on top of our buggy whip has saved us more than once at the crest of a dune. You see the whip light before you see the vehicle.

                  4. Always yield to the bigger vehicle. A quad doesn't fair well against a sand rail and a sand rail doesn't fair well against a 4X4 truck, etc.

If I think of any other suggestions, I will post them.

How'd the meeting go last night?

I still can't get the front sprocket on my polaris changed. It hits the swingarm bushing so I've tried to take it off and surprise surprise I'm not smart enough to do that! I'm about to just take it somewhere! Besides now I have parts everywhere hopefully I'll be able to remember how it goes back together!

                  Posted by: Bobman

Aaron...that is me. That's why I never try to work on stuff myself anymore. No matter how simple the task may seem I always seem to have purchased the one model (of whatever I buy) that has left hand threads, is a wierd metric fitting, was discontinued with no aftermarket parts manufactured, the only manual was printed with the French and Spanish portions in tact but they omit the English portion, the polarity on the electronics is reversed..etc etc etc...need I go on.

So that is why I just let the pros do it...I've never had one mechanical operation go smoothly. Now woodworking I can do okay (not a master craftsman but I can do some good there).

So when I do have to service my quad I am just going to take it to someone and let them worry about it.
On a related note...does anyone know a good place to take quads (other than the dealership) for repairs?

                  Mike,
Did you break both sides? I have you a bracket made out of aluminum for the right side. You will have to drill 4 - 1/4" holes through the fender and that will hold the new bracket in place so that you can mount the rod to it. I will send you some pictures later this evening. I will send them to your email that was listed in the group directory. When mounted all that you would see is the rounded heads of the four bolts. If you want to use it great and if you don't that is great too.

                  Ronnie

                  Posted by: nukeim

Man, you didn't have to do that!

The other side didn't break, but it tore a little, and wouldn't take much for it to break all the way.

                  Anyway....Thanks Ronnie!

                  Mike,
You know now that I don't make a living at welding it is more fun to fabricate one of a kind things. I recently extended Matt's aluminum rear swingarm guard by 4". A person couldn't afford to have someone rebuild that guard. I had way too many man hours in it. But it was for my own kid. I enjoy the challenge though.

Your part was a walk in the park. If you like this one in the pictures I will make you one for the left side and that way they will look the same.

Bob i think we all like the design that matt made for the shirts so they are a go. I would like to try to get them made before little sahara trip , or asap, We all need to tell bob how many shirts we need. What color of shirt ? I think black would be too hot, white would get dirty, so a grey would be a good color. What do you guy's think. I know that i would like 4 of them, and what about the little ones in our family. Maybe we could check on having some little shirts made for our children. Just a thought

                        Brent,

If we like the design I will go ahead and contact some shirt printers and se what kind of money we are talking. I do remember the guy I talked with saying that a multi colored design would cost extra. I will check with several printers (now that I am working nights I have time to do that in the day time). and see what we are looking at money wise and then submit a report back to you all and we can see who we want to go with.

                        Bob.

By the way....did Brent handout those big bags of money I was going to give as a party favor to everyone who attended the meeting???

I agree with Brent that grey would be the best color for the shirts. Have them priced with "beefy T's" (the thicker t-shirts), they wear much better and usually hold designs better due to the thickness.

Hey guys...This is the info I got from one of the T-shirt places. I will stll call another place to get their quotes so we can see what they have to offer. This is a quote/package info from a place near my home.

Anyone want to count and see how many colors the design has to it?

Hanes Beefy-T short sleeve white, W/ 1 color imprint on back
                        sm-xl = $8.00, 2x = $9.50, 3x = $10.50, 4x = $11.50, 5x = $12.50

Hanes Beefy-T short sleeve dark color W/ 1 color imprint on back
                        sm-xl = $9.00, 2x = $10.50, 3x = $11.50, 4x = $12.50, 5x = $13.50

add .75 cents per color if there is more than 1 color in your logo

white and athletic gray are the only colors that I can get up to 5x
you can bring in your own shirts. we can print them with a 1 color logo
for $2.00 per shirt on white and 2.75 for darks, add .75 cent for each additional color.

                        Posted by: HoundDog06

                        I count seven colors:

                        1. Black
                        2. White
                        3. Brown
                        4. Blue
                        5. Red
                        6. Silver
                        7. Grey

That's what I would say anyway.

I asked if we all have to choose the same color but I have not heard back from him.

So I guess the next thing is to figure out who needs how many and what size. That way we can have the info ready for the pricing when he replies.

Okay we are really close to getting things worked out with the shirt guy. Here is the information I need from you all.

E-MAIL me your t-shirt needs (Sizes and how many). I will be sending out a mailing as well. Once I have the number of shirts and sizes needed I will go to the printer and tell him how many we need and he can give me a finalized price on how much per shirt.

It pretty much seems grey is going to be the color of choice becuase both Matt and the Shirt guy have said that grey will pretty much be the best color for our graphic.

So please E-Mail me your needs by Tuesday of next week and we can hopefully get them soon.

Okay, I officially have lost my mind. We are going to Little Sahara Sat. morning at 4:00am. Should get there about 8:00-8:30am. We are going rain or shine. I tried to talk the boys into waiting until the middle of next week, but alot of their college buddies are going this weekend. I hope it doesn't rain. I get too much traction on the sand rail and mess something up every time it rains. I better take any extra CV joint or two with me. You all loose you mind and come on up.

                                    Mike.
In case I don't see you this weekend or post again. HAPPY BIRTHDAY ON TH 13th!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bring your g/f and come up Sunday. The rain is suppose to clear out in the am and just be cool in the afternoon. The sand will be fast.

There was a ton of people there. I've only been there two other times and never saw a sandrail. Sat. I bet I saw 10-15 of them. Those things can move! I got there about 9:30-10 and by 2:30 was broken and had to load up to leave. My silencer bracket broke so I lost my silencer. It's full of sand and dented up where it hit my rear sprocket. Got my exhaust tied up tight to go ride again, (which I had to to put kleenex in my ears because it hurt my ears without the silencer!) I'm getting old! Went back out and my chain broke within the first five minutes of that ride. I'm getting real tired of broken chains! Other than that it was a blast like always. Lots of real fast quads there. Lots of banshees, yammy 450's preds and v forces. There were definately a lot of sweet quads there, lots of money put into those things!

We describe a good trip as one that no one gets hurt bad just bruises. A really good trip is no injuries or broken equipment. We had a good trip. Two of our group joined the LS ROC (Little Sahara Roll Over Club). Lots of bruises and scratches and my V-Force now has no plastic. We had a blast though. We got home around 6:30pm last night and I'm still tired.

                                            Aaron,
That wasn't crowded. You ought to see Memorial Day or Labor Day and I won't even think about Snake Hunt or Sandfest weekends.

                                            Brent,
We will get Matt's girlfriend (Sandbunny) to post some pictures on her page about her rollover on the V-Force. I'll put it this way, I need a complete set of plastic. Well the gas cap lid plastic is okay. Looks funny going across the dunes with no plastic. People stare, wondering what it is. I told them that it had so much power with the HMF duals that it blew the plastic right off of it.

As far as the 27th and 28th goes for us, it's iffey. We have to regroup and see what we can get fixed.

                                            Mike,
I don't think I can make brackets for my plastic.

                                            Can't wait to go again.

This weekend was about 1/3 of a crowd on Memorial or Labor day. The big weekends are good for seeing all kinds of rides but not as much fun to ride on those weekends. Monday was great for riding. The sand had smoothed out some and virtually nobody there. They didn't start charging at the gate until 1:00pm. Thanks for the comment about the rail, it is a blast to drive.

We met alot of neat people this weekend. Seemed as though everbody was from out of state. Like Kansas City, Missouri, Mississippi and Minnesota. I think we wre the only Okies in Cowboy Camp. Not really, but we were out numbered. I flew my OSU flag with pride though. Some of the K-State people tried to give me a hard time, but that is normal.

Guys I have two sets of front sand tires for sale. They are 21x8x10 GBC Dune Trackers. They are about a year old. They are the same as brand new. They still have some little rubber things on the body of the tires. I bought some new tires this weekend and kept these, so here is your chance to get a bargain. They sell for $37.99 each in Rocky Mountain. I will take $35 a set. This is for tires only no wheels. The will fit Rapter, Z or KFX400, Banshee, YFZ 450, the new Honda 450R or anything with a 21X7 or 8X10 front tire. I had one of the sets on the V-Force for a while. They make all the difference in turning in the sand. I wouldn't even think about riding with out them. If interested in them just send me a PM and I will send you the info so you can call me. Or you can email me.

I went there today to price plastic and I can have it shipped from Ron Ayers in SC cheaper than they priced it to me. Go figure. Brandon is starting to sound alot like his father in law that owns the John Deere dealership. That kind of dealing will come back to bite them in the back side. Atvers are different from the local farmers. We will drive for parts and to buy. I guess I should have bought another yamaha, at least I get a 15% discount on parts there. If you haven't guessed by now, I'm not very happy with Brandon and his parts . He could have at least brought the KY jelly with him when he priced the parts. I've got news for him, I will have them shipped from SC. I can get them just as fast .

I looked at a map of the park on-line and it shows that the camping areas are out side the "Riding limits" area. Can you ride your quad in and out of your camp site or do you have to do somethign stupid like trailer it up and drive 400 yards to a place where you can unload...it sounds like somethign the state would do (and I am afraid to type this here because the geniuses that run the state might get the idea).

I really am looking forward to going.

Got it pretty muddy, scuffed up the wheels a bit and I was still able to drive up into the truck to come home! Thats a real plus for me, I usually have to have someone help me push it into my truck. It runs great and is a giant step up from the Polaris.

Okay, I'm back from the dead. Well I'm on my way back. I just have pneunmonia in both lungs. Between the County Fair with the wood shavings dust, wet cold weather the next day at my sister's funeral and one cold night at Little Sahara (my fault, I turned the heater off in the night), I finally gave in and got sick . I wish it wouldn't have been on spring break. Any way after 4 days of laying around and the good drugs the doctors prescribed. I'm starting to feel better.

Sound like Aaron is having fun with his new toy. Like Aaron said once you park in your camping spot you don't ever has to move unless you want to go to town for something. You ride from the campsite right on to the dunes.

In all fairness, Davidson's finally came around and gave me a fair discount on the plastic. Who knows the next time that I need something. Maybe it will be here next week. It would only take me an hour or so to put it on. Decals will take longer to put on than the plastics, they don't just bolt into place.

As far as next weekend goes to Little Sahara. Well that is up to my doctor and his folllowup visit on Thursday. Right now he won't let me ride because of the dust. Ty is chopping at the bits. That boy would live there if I would move up there. Heck he comes by it honeestly, I would move up there if BJ would find her a teaching job close and I would just retire and play all the time. Maybe that's the reason she won't look for a job in that direction.

If doctor says Yes, then I say yes.

Yes Bob it was wolf pen where we started and then discovered a whole other trail system attached. It really was fun at blue hole, the caves, and eagle's view. We stayed at Wolf Pen Atv camp. They had cabins and RV hookups. Some of the people we went with are going back memorial weekend to do it again. If you need a phone number just let me know.
My friend Brian and I were climbing this incredible hill about 200 yards to the top and a very, very front wheels coming off the ground steep. Later that night we were talking about it in the camp and one of the Locals ask us to describe the hill. Once he realized what hill we were climbing he said "Holly S*i#, thats the hill everyone goes down, I have never seen anyone make it up it". So now you know we had a blast. There is another hill like that one around the area. It is 600 feet to the top and you are climbing almost straight up. they say it takes 15 minutes of climbing to get to the top. We couldnt find that hill.

They are very near to opining a public riding area in Scipio Oklahoma (Scipio is 20min. N of McAlester)
1780 (estimate) acres of multi use (hiking, biking, equestrian, atv, motor cycle)
I have been on the site twice a couple of years ago during the intial scouting and it could be a boon to the local economy and sport in the areas nearby ie: Dallas,OKC,Tulsa.
The Tulsa Trail Riders are a good bunch of mostly Two wheelers that are big time into enduro races and promotion of the dirt bike sport. They are well organized and have put forth considerable efforts and funds to make the Scipio riding area a realty for us all.
I am a non member. (bty) would love to be if asked.

I have used glowsticks at night for fishing and most of the time they are pretty reliable and last about 4 hours.

The glow sticks Raymond is talking about are actually battery powered led's which can be mounted to the top of flags. I showed ours to Raymond and he has been looking for them. They work excellent and can be seen from several dunes away.

By the way, Tyler (my brother) has that same GPS and I am sure he and I could show you the ins and outs of its functions.

                                                              Raymond,

You should have went to Wal-Mart like you started to. I also saw them at Orschelyn's yesterday for $3.

Either Friday night or 4:00am Sat. Morning. Matt likes to travel at night and I like to leave early. Just a shame we have to take two trucks just to get the toys there, I could sleep while he drove.

We have had more adventures than can be mentioned here with the River Rats. Some high points would include a couple of trips to Eufala (86 mi one way for us), climbing the oil dericks at Allen to retrieve a fourty year old oil cable pulley for a trophy, snow sledding, and just years of hanging out on the river. Oh yeah, don't forget River Kneeboarding, where the only thing you're guaranteed is to come home with more red patches than a lepur!

I have hundreds of photos of past river adventures which I used to post on the River Rats' website I webmastered. You may have seen them there before. I still hear the site get mentioned once in a while on the forums, though it hasn't been online for a couple of years. Rocky Mountain has some scratch and dent on sale right now for $29.99 each........$68.31 shipped.... I just picked up a set for my sand tires... Just passing on the info....

They say there are just minor scratches and washer rings on the rims but hey for that price I can deal with that... There only for the sand tires any way....
