I followed a guy to the lake (Prague) today and spoke to him. He had a group meeting him for a ride tomorrow (Saturday). He said he was from OKC and there were around 25 riders riding @ the lake. I gave him the websites & he seemed interested. He had to be of the best quality, for he had a grizzly in the back of the truck!! BR>
G,
Hurray for me!! I'm officially back on nights as of next week BR>

Guys
This came off another forum I frequent..... They are wanting to know if we would support a trail system in Lawton. I don't know what is in Lawton, but the more Oklahoma gets involved in ATV/motorcycles, the more it will help your state, and gives us more choices to enjoy ATVing.
Maybe it would be a good idea to fill out the info.
"I picked up a flyer in a ATV shop in Lawton OK, it states that they are thinking of starting an ATV/Motorcycles trails park. They were asking for feedback and ask some questions and they are:"
1. How often would you go to an ATV/Motorcycle trail to ride?
2. Would you be willing to pay a small fee to ride for the day or weekend:
3. Would you like to havve a camp area so you can camp overnight or for the weekend?
4. Would you tell your friends about a place like this?
5. How far are you willing to drive to go to a place like this?
6. What kind of trails do you like to ride on?
7. A place to race ATV/Motorcycles?

Okay this may be a little of topic but in a way not....as we have discussed this subject once before.
Who is ready for some POKER????
My friends own a local pub where they are basically having FREE poker nights. If you want to join a free organization that I would describe as a POKER LEAGUE they are going to be offering just such an opportunity this weekend on both Saturday AND Sunday. The table times are 3:00, 6:00 & 9:00 PM on each day (Sat &Sun). There is no money involved and all play is tournament based. For those reaching the final table, they will be entered in a drawing or something of that nature... I am not sure of all the details. To participate you must register.
There are two ways to register:
1 Register online at FREE POKER OK Once there, click on the registration link
on the left hand menu. Complete registration and print it out to be presented at the table.
OR.........
2. Register on site at the pub (This may take some time...so if able you might try option 1)
The action takes place at Thirsty Mike's Sports Bar. Thirsty Mike's is located on the NE Corner of NW 10th & MacArthur. Thirsty Mike's is RIGHT ON THE CORNER, it is not set back in the shopping center it is RIGHT ON THE CORNER. If you need specified driving directions please contact me via E-mail or Private Message.
This is 100% legal and should be a lot of fun and most of all the only thing you can lose would be a couple hours you would probably be home watching TV. I plan to be there and I hope to see others there as well.

"And on another point whats up with LIttle river trails being closed by the courts????"??? Sounds pretty fishy if u ask me"
Your right it is a little fishy. While in court yesterday (Feb 15th) the judge ruled that there was not sufficient evidence that the road leading to the property was ever a open section line road. Thus, the public is not allowed to utilize the road until such time it is a "open section line road". Also the judge stated that all gates must remain closed and locked.
I have edited the website, and will continue to post additional information there.

sorry to here that ur being given the runaround and hope that everything gets resolved soon! Also is there another road that could be utilized to enter the trails?

Posted by: Brink74868
G,
Prague is approximately 23 Miles north of James' place and back west approximately 3 miles. It's about another 30 minutes from the Little River trails. It is also my place of employment. The trails are pretty muddy and worn, but they have improved greatly over the past 6 months.
Jason "I love nights " Brinker
Posted by: gsettle081
Thanks Jason... I can always count on you for an answer. It is probably a little far of a drive for a day ride. James' place is 3 hours from here. Prague would be 3.5 hours both ways. You guys have fun.
Posted by: SuperDav
As for other roads to the property; they cross the same land owners who are complaining about us using this road.
If you think your quad is got the POWER and you have a little Evel Knievel in you, we could set up a ramp and let you jump in. BR>
If you have a set of wings or pontoons, one could fly or float in.
I'll let everyone know how it's going. The next court appearance is March 8th.

Jason,
Well it goes a little something like this . We got back from a great day of riding, loaded our quads and was sitting around BS'n when she pulls up and decides to check all of the trucks for payment well we had all paid our riding fees so she proceeds to the bathrooms and comes out in a frenzy . Let me tell you she flew off the handle yelling at everyone, did i say yelling , i meant screaming at us saying we used the showers to wash our muddy clothes off and then she went off on the hose at the well thing . Well she kept on and on screming, and when i say screaming i mean screaming , about all she puts up with with these atv riders and the way they tear up the land and throw trash all over the trails. Well thats all i think Andy could take , so he spoke up about Her wanting to lock the bathrooms. Now i was in the bathrooms to change and they wernt that bad at all . she proceeds to tell andy pretty much if he didnt like it then he need not come back to Prague lake to ride . Yes she ran him off not before calling the COPs. Now the funny thing is that the Cops called back in about 10 mins and asked her how many were still there and if they really neede to come out. Now I find this funny , the Prague police department must have quite a few sensless calls form the Prague Lake caretaker to not take her serious .
To make a long story short She flew off the handle did all the wrong things and now proceeds to run paying customers off and tells them not to come back . Well i think Mr. Thompson needs to hear exactely what transpired @ Prague lake trails on Feb 20th 2005 . I was thinking about talking to her about holding some of our large club rides at Prague in the future, but after seeing her in all her GLory i may reconsider.

Andy,
The camera I used is a Cannon Digital Elph...It is the model 410s. I won this camera through a sales promotion at work. Everyone tells me it is supposed to be a pretty good model. It is 4.0 Megapixel... One of the other guys in the group has a much better camera made by fuji. I can not remember the exact model..but I think Mike's camera is 4.8 Megapix...am I correct on that Michael???
This was the first time I had ever used the camera...I still have to read up on how to access and use the advanced features on it. It has one feature that I really like (but have yet to use) and that is you can set up a sepia tone effect to make a picture look as though it is antique. You can also make B&W photos as well. I think most will do B&W but I had never seen a sepia tone effect..doesnt mean they arent out there...just means I've never seen it.
But if you are looking for a digital camera, I would definitely talk to Mike (Nukeim) as he is pretty up to date on consumer electronics and what is new in the market.

I changed clothes in the restroom before you did and it was really clean when I left, you say it was clean when you left as well... Was this possibly the work of aliens? Jason, does this lady, whom I've heard resembles a man, often claim to see strange lights in the area around or above the lake? I am just wondering because I didn't mess it up, Brent didn't mess it up...will we never rid ourselves of these pesky aliens???

Ooh good lord!!
Usually Donna is pretty easygoing, but when it comes to everything not being "so-so", she has been known to become somewhat upset. As for involving Mr. Thompson, that's what he's there for. I am NOT advocating calling him or not calling him, for I am still on new-hire probation for another 14 days. I have heard of her liking some quad riders and really hating some others. Her first love is horses. I will have a talk to her and see if we can "just all get along?!?!" Allow me to apologize for any ill feelings felt toward the small community that pays my salary.

Let me see if I can get this strait...
Ol' girl is upset that there is mud in the restroom...Now I realize that I am not a not a Rhode Scholar...in fact when they returned my application they had scribbled a very nasty expletive written in red magic marker across the face of the document. So like I said I am not a Rhode Scholar, nor have I played one on television, BUT..what kind of genius puts up a primative restroom across the road from (and intended for use by patrons thereof) an ATV/Equestrian facility that is known to be laden with mud and expect that none would be tracked into the restroom? I did not notice any sort of door mat to scrape your feet on or any kind of mud rake/scraper like they used to have at school so that you could scrape your shoes off before entering the building.
Her being upset is akin to a person building a home in a watershed and then being astonished when it floods...

2. Say what you want and feel free to chime in at any time about anything.

Hey Ty, check out my pics (and Aaron's) we have some pictures of the track at Stillwater. The first big table is probably at least 40-50 feet...The second one that follows right after is probably 10 to 15 feet shy of that. (Correct me if I'm wrong Aaron.) There were a couple of doubles that I wouldn't hit, but it's a pretty cool track, even for the non-God jumpers. A few stretches to really open it up, and a few to really pucker it up.
If you want some more pics Ty, send an email to: imawingnut (nospam) at gmail.com and I'll send you some that aren't posted. I think I have a couple of the entire track.

Yes thats about it, It's a lot of fun and I can't wait to go back, but that was at Red Banks 51 (I think that's the name). I believe they were talkingabout the 500 with the 25$ annual fee. I heard that you pay your $ and you get a combo to the lock so you don't have to go to town every time because they don't have anyone actually on site. I used to ride there when I was in middle school and haven't been there since. I'm sure its changed a lot, but I always had a blast out there.

Sounds like I missed yet another amazing weekend. With the exception of the Wicked Witch.
I have not posted for awhile, yet I have been keeping up with the club by reading this forum.
I have not ridden my Wheeler in so long I am not even sure it will start. Bought a new house, just got married and started a new job a few months ago. Seems the wheeler was not at the top of the list for. Now I am settled in the house, Have the job under control and I am still glad to be married. It's time to ride! All the great weather this last weekend made me miss riding that much more. Count me in on the next ride, even if the wicked witch is there.
Maybe we should ride there, take a water hose with us and actually hose out the restroom one time. It would either make her that much madder or give her a little respect for our club. I'll bring the water hose.

As much as I hate to, I will reveal a little bit of what I have uncovered thusfar into my so called "investigation" of the alleged happenings that may or may have not transpired on the so called day in question.
1. There was a group of 6 that had ridden quads on the horse only trails (Across the dam and all)
2. The Sunday before, a group washed their quads off on the road and left a mess.
3. She seems to feel that no one is respecting her or the rules and kind of had enough before she saw you guys.
From what I have seen so far, I kind of think that the whole thing was kind of a case of being at the wrong place at the wrong time. I just sent an E-mail last night and got it returned, but I am going to have a face to face tonight and see if everything can be calmed. Stay tuned for tonight's most recent post entitled: Tales from the lake

Welcome Greg!
Sounds like yall had a good time at Prague that weekend minus the park ranger. We started to go there but my crew ended up at Purcell where we had a blast!! There has been several people in the river bed the last two weekends so I guess the rail workers and the cops have calmed down a in the last month. That was the first time I had been down there in a while and the sand was perfect. I need to get off my but and attend one of the rides scheduled on the home page. My wifes family are bringing their quads here the weekend of the 11th of March so we will hopefully go to Purcell or Draper since Little Sahara is a little to extreme for them(they are more of slow trail riders). Hope to ride with yall soon.

I'll bring the water hose.
dang, i wish i'dknown you were in the market. i could have saved you some time and trouble. take my wife, and i'll throw in the house. hell ... take 'em both and i'll throw in a quad too.

Hey...just thought I would let ya'll know some of the people we hang with have a Little Sahara trip planned 3/18-20th...we will leave out about 2 or so Friday and head back when ever we get around Sunday. Just thought if anyone was for sand!!! Hopefully we will have nice weather!!!!
Who knows maybe we can get up there and ruffle some feathers....course it might be harder there, since I heard the Mayor was arrested for drugs...
Also about Stillwater, they mail out the new combination every month, so you can just go straight there.
Posted by: RaptorChief
Change those dates on LS...Work has interupted my riding schedule!
We will now try for the weekend of April 8-10th...leaving out around 2 or so on
Friday, and coming back whenever we get up and get out...on Sunday.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
This is a reminder that there is to be a club ride at Prague Lake on Sunday March 6, 2005. I am not sure what time Brent has this scheduled, but I think he usually tries to schedule around 11:30 or 12:00.
I hope to see as many of you there as possible. I have no clue what the weather is supposed to be like that day. I will not be riding that day because having me ride at Prague is a bad omen. Everytime I ride at Prague something bad happens to SOMEONE and last week it was me, hahaha. So I am going to be there simply to try and meet some of the newer members and I will probably be preparing some sort of spread (Brent has suggested/mentioned hot dogs but I am not sure exactly WHAT it will be) for everyone to get hold of after the ride. I can assure you that we will have one heck of a good time.
Respectfully,
Bob

I made a trip to Prague today. Man, was it muddy!!.
It's been a few months since I've been out there. The trails have sure had some traffic on them and it shows. I found many places that have been re-routed and re-routed and re-routed again.
I ran into a guy that was out there by himself on a two-wheel drive Kodiak. Said he got stuck numerous times and he was thanking GOD he had a winch because there weren't many people out there to pull him out. Four-wheel drive is almost a necessity if you ride out there now.
I've got a few weeks off before we re-open, so I may try to hook up with you guys next weekend. KFOR's website is predicting fair skies, NO RAIN and temps in the upper 50s for next Sunday. Looks like it'll be a decent day to ride so far.
I'm planning on making a trip up to Gruber in the next few weeks and was wondering if it was worth it. From what I hear, it's a pretty decent ride. Anyone ever ridden there? If so, what's it like? Any info would be appreciated.
Also, is there another ride planned for southeast Oklahoma yet? I'd like to check that place out too. And Gordon, I'm gonna do my very best to make it down to Muenster, Tx. When are you planning on going back there?
James
Posted by: trailride
Yes I plan to have hot dogs to eat after the ride . I would like to know who plans on attending . As long as we dont get any heavy rain this week , the trails at Prague will be for the most part dry with your mudhole every so often which you can go around . Like i said i would like a head count for the dogs . I plan to start the ride at 11:30 on sunday , so get in touch with me if we need to meet at Meeker
Brent

James
We ride in Muenster nearly every weekend. Mrs Harris just keeps adding trails. It is almost heaven. Ginny and I would love to go back to Antlers or Broken Bow. We just need to pick a weekend. NOT SO FAR OUT AS THINGS WILL CHANGE BEFORE THEN. Hope your trails get going again. Ginny and I would love to ride there. I would also like us to meet up in MENA, ARKANSAS. From what I hear, it is an awesome place.
Posted by: Bobman
Brent,
I thought you would be starting from Meeker so I just gave someone directions on how to get to Rainbow there in Meeker. He is coming from the Tulsa area so I thought the best way to give him directions would be to go to Meeker since he can just take 18 south out of Chandler when he exits the Turnpike.
Bob "head 'em up and move 'em out" Bobman
Posted by: Jamesh921
Gordon,
I've heard great things about Mena too. Maybe we could head down there sometime this Spring.
Are there any motels down in Muenster?
James
Posted by: GrizzlyGreg
we went to mena last year it was a blast
we stood at a little cabin at wolfpen gap
they also have rv hookups we would
love to go again.
Posted by: gsettle081
Muenster has a SMALL motel, but their are NICE cabins four miles from the trails. I think they go for $75.00 a night, but will sleep 6 or 8. The cabins are part of a church camp. The cabins were built by the Muenster Golf Course. Gainesville has some motels also.
What about MENA? I guess their are motels there also....

I ll be there sunday Brent and would be happy to pitch in on the dogs as such, just let me know!

Bent,
We won't be able to make it. Dang it. Not very often will I let my work interfer with playing but, the first 22 days of March are devoted to Spring Livestock shows. I have 48 students with 97 animals that expect me to be there. Would be like sending the ball team to the State Finals and the coach staying home. After the 22nd I will need to ride to unwind. Youall have fun and eat a hotdog or two for us.

Brent,
I will be there. Got the OK from the WARDEN (Don't tell her I called her that) to go!! I will pitch in or bring whatever we need. Let me know. Sounds like FUN!! Hope the weather holds out. I am ready to ride. Going to the Ron White concert in Tulsa Friday nite, should be a good show.

Jimmy , I need buns. Could you bring say 2 packs of buns? That would be great !!
Ronnie, man i wish you could make it , but i do have a SURPRISE!!!!!!!
Change of schedule on April 2 and 3rd . We will now be gearing towards Little Sahara Saturday April 2nd and Sunday April 3rd. This will be a big weekend at little sahara so if you plan to go e-mail me . I would like this ride to be a big turnout. I would also like to suggest T-SHIRTS , we really need COAC shirts for rides like this.

I will bring the buns. I will also bring some liquid refreshments!! Any certain flavor you are interested in??
Along those lines I caught the tail end of a story on TV the other day that was talking about Molsen had bought Coors! Is that true??

I will try hard to make it to LS. Will my Polaris Utility ATV do ok at LS with the stock tires??
Posted by: bearaf
Bent,
Sunday is my wifes birthday, I think I would be looking for a place to live if I was to go riding instead of spending the day with her I may be able to do Little sahara but I have a baseball tournament that weekend. Depending on how we do I couldbe done early Sat morning or in the finals Sat night. Right now I would have to lean towards Sat morning so I could make it Sat Evening for beer and a night ride and some riding Sunday if you can keep the tornadoes away!!
Aaron
Posted by: trailride
Jimmy, Yes your stock tires will be fine. In fact im putting my stockers back on for this Little Sahara trip . Last year i had my brand new mudlites which love to dig but not good for running on top of sand . I know for a fact my stock tires will perform better.
Aaron, I will do my anti-tornado dance before i leave.

When I was an all star bench warmer for my high school baseball team I know there was one simple two word phrase that usually got our team home early enough to watch the A-Team or Macguyver... and that favorite term was....
RUN RULE!!!!
So if you you send a few signals to steal 3rd with 2 outs, tell your outfielders that they are whimps if they even know what the term "cutoff man" means and convince yor infielders to play in bunt position from the first pitch on...you should have no problems getting to do the 5th inning shuffle back to the old school bus

Are you sure you want to go LS on that weekend. You all have fun, I won't go on two weekends a year. Snake Hunt and Sand fest. I'm just getting to old for the BS that comes with those weekends. The place is not big enough for the crowd that will be there and the rangers are in a bad mood all weekend. If your kids are under 21, I wouldn't take them. They will have eye strain. I'm going towards the end of April if my new trailer comes in on time.

Brent,
Count me in for Prague this Sunday. I am afraid that the whole group will be banned from the park if I am not there to play referee between the caretaker and the public. She called one of my friends out there last Saturday because someone rode the trails across the road that used to be the east quad side but is now "horse only" trails. The other officer said that it wasn't marked and that she wanted him to ticket the guy.
Everything should be better, as the City of Prague is posting cops at the gate off and on during the weekends so I wouldn't bring any beer (Tickets will be written for bringing alcohol through the gate) or so I'm told.
Do I need to bring anything?
p.s. Is there any way to have some rides on alternate weekends? The next 2 rides fall on my weekends to work and it's hard to God jump and do crazy wheelies out of one bloodshot eye.

In Case anyone else is running behind (like I usually am),
Prague Lake is between Prague and Meeker on Highway 62. There is a lerge green sign pointing the way on the south side of the highway. The turnoff to the lake (a.k.a. Wilzetta road) is approximately 3 miles west of Prague. When you turn off 62, it is approximately 3 miles North and there will be a smaller green sign on the east side of the road. turn right & you're about a mile from the gate. If anyone has any trouble, call me @ 584-0921. I should be up by 10:30 or so.

Your Input is Requested...
We have a very dire issue that needs attention. I have updated the web page and have changed the structure of the two "sub pages" for Prague rides under the picture page. I am using a formatted photo gallery plug in that comes with Front Page...yes I use Front Page but it's all I have right now. Anyway to make a long story short...do you all like captions under the photos or do you not like captions. I can do it either way...I can make up goofy captions for each picture or I can simply leave it blank with no description...What do you all want?
Posted by: nukeim
Nice pic on the front page Bob BR>
Anybody know who that was?

Posted by: gsettle081
I think you HAVE TO HAVE CAPTIONS!! How else will we know who someone is in a picture. If I were just to guess, I would have to say the picture on the home page is Jason. No one else can find water like him. It also helps start putting names with faces. Just a thought from the SOUTH Central Oklahoma ATV Chapter. It looks like you guys had a blast.
Posted by: JimsPolaris
Gordon,
We had a great day and I did not break any body parts!!! There was lots of mud and Jason only had to pull me out once. He was poking fun at having to pull out a Polaris ARGHHHHHH !!! I may have to invest in some Mudlites one of these days. Wish you guys had been there.
Brent, we need to plan a club trip to Muenster one of these days!!
Jimmy"All in one piece" Monteith

Jimmy
Glad to here you are back riding. Muenster would be fun, But Ginny and I will come up there also. Don't let Jason get too smug about pulling you out. I think we have pictures of Brent pulling him out of some water that I COULD HAVE GOTTEN OUT OF. If he could not pull us out with his Kodiak, what good would he be???? Very soon I will have a Kodiak also, and he won't be so smug.....
Posted by: Brink74868
Gordon,
Point of Order... Not that there is anything wrong with a Kodiak (My lovely wife rides one... When she rides), but I happen to mount a growd up Kodiak (a Grizzly). And as for Brent pulling me out of the water.... He didn't pull me out. A group of campers had to don their scuba gear and help me salvage the wreckage.. The embarrasing part was having my wife drag my waterlogged butt back to camp on the Kodiak giving me the all too familiar " I can't take you anywhere......" speech. But that was LAST YEAR. We should concentrate on my stellar record in 2005 . I have (knock on wood) not broken anything YET this year. And as for the picture on the web site, I must admit.......... I forgot to bring a change of clothes..... And the jury is still out if I fear my wife, but I wasn't going to get HER truck muddy because I happen to like sleeping indoors .
Bob,
As much as I hate to, I have to agree with Gordon. Captions make the photo sometimes. OK, most of the time. I would also recommend putting some faces with names from some of the rides because I sometimes have a hard time remembering names (even my own).
Mike,
Man, that ain't right. You got my bad side and everything. That face, If you checked your you know what handbook, is indicative of the concentration level necessary to convert a crazy street stunt to a place laden with mud and water (notice the wheel of a heavy machine off the ground, thus combining a crazy street stunt on a muddy and unlevel surface with a good wheelie).
Brent,
Once again, a great ride even if we couldn't drink beer at that particular destination. . I had a great time and promise to bring mudding clothes next time so I can show you guys how to PROPERLY sink a quad.
Jason "I think I said everything already in the post" Brinker
Posted by: gsettle081
Jason
Are you running for Sherriff?? You would think so, as many people as you recognized in you last post. I apologize for saying you rode a Kodiak. Grizzly, Kodiak, Panda, Black Bear... All are Yamaha to me. I am also afraid of getting Ginny's new truck muddy. I may have to rethink how we get home.
Posted by: Bobman
I have two votes for captions...voting will continue through the day with E-Polls closing at 5:00 PM CST. There will be no supreme court decisions, no swinging Chads, no network news stations pematurely announcing the winners...just a strait simple vote tally.
Along the lines of Captions....I think that starting today....EACH TIME WE CHANGE OUT THE PICTURE ON THE FRONT PAGE we should have a "caption contest" so everyone send in what they feel would be the best caption for the current picture on the front page.

I vote for captions Bob.
Posted by: Bobman
Early exit polls tend to indicate that it looks as though the voters will indeed choose to have captions associated with the photo thumbnails on all future picture pages of The Official Website Of The Central Oklahoma ATV Club.
While the polls are still open for another hour and forty-five minutes, it appears that the people have spoken and it would really take a strong turnout to shift the momentum of the election.

Welcome Christie and Lonnie.
You came in right in the middle of a contest that some of our members are not folowing the rules (Brent), so you welcome will probably get lost in sorting our the rules for the contest. AS a new member you should expect to follow the rules. They are as follows:
1. Do not speak badly or unkindly of the Street Kings
2. Do not make fun of the older members ( me and Jimmie)
3. Do not bring a TOY to a ride ( like my Honda Rancher)
4. Pay your dues to me in small unmarked bills. PM me and I will send you the address.
5. IT WILL BE YOUR TURN TO BUY THE BEER ON YOUR FIRST RIDE!!!
6. Do not get your feelings hurt by things said on this forum ( or hurt anyones feelings on purpose)
7. Take lots of pictrues on the rides.
8. Do not cross the Railroad property when we ride in Purcell
9. HAVE FUN
I think that covers the statnding rules. I may have forgot some of the lesser rules, but I'm sure you will be notified if I have not covered something.
Welcome to our hangout.

I have quite a few pretty good pictures of just about everybody....I'm just absolutely horrible with names, and it's hard to get who's who from your posts.
Send an email to: ima(nospam)wingnut@gmail.com (take out the "(nospam)" of course) and tell me your name, and what you were riding (make/color) and I'll send you whatever (if any) pictures I have of you.
They are fairly large pictures visually, as well as digitally...So, if you have limitations on inbox or attachment size...Let me know, I'll send you an invite to get a gmail account. It's Google's email thingamajigger. 1GB of space with allowances for pretty good sized attachments...Threaded conversations are cool too.

I think that covers the statnding rules. I may have forgot some of the lesser rules, but I'm sure you will be notified if I have not covered something.
Welcome to our hangout.

G,
Christie (my wife) has been on many many rides with us, for that matter so has Lonnie. These rules do not apply to founders.
Bob, I never play by the rules.

I know Christie has been on rides, "BUT RULES IS RULES". If we don't have rules all we have is chaos.... Come to think of it that is exactly what we have. Ok Christie, YOU do not have to abide by the rules. Lonnie still has to buy the beer. How's that?

Gordon,
Are you implying I am old???
Also, Are you guys going to make it to Lake Murray on March 20th? I am going to try, not sure yet.

Jimmy, I will be going to Lake Murray on the 20th. I plan to leave my house in Shawnee about 7am, that should put me at the trailhead at or around 10am. I have never been here so dont expect me to know where im going in these trails at lake murray like i do at Prague. My plan is to ride till about 4 or 5 then load up and head home. I want to check out the campsites for future weekend rides.

Mike,
If I had any pride, I'd be offended. It takes a mighty river to drown me. And that was in my past. I told you guys that I'm starting over. You know, the whole new leaf thing. I am slowly facing my demons and hope to be starting a new club soon. What do you think of "The Trail Kings"?? At this time i need thre good wheeliers.....3 god jumpers...and more watever...crazy trail stunts. It would NOT by any means have anything to do with Street Tricks, ONLY TRAIL TRICKERS!!
Applications can be sent to me via PM's or if you don't mind applying in such a public place, feel free to apply here. I warn you, this club is not for the faint of heart or people on Ranchers (Sorry G).

Couple of responses...
YES Jimmy, you are old. You are the same generation as me. That makes us OLD. (at least the way Jason, Brent, Bob, Mike, AAron, Christie, and Missy think)
Ginny and I wil try to meet you guys the 20th of March. Lake Murry will be fun. I assume we will meet at the pay window at 10AM. You guys wil enjoy this ride. Not too difficult and lots of area to take in.
Jason... Why are you starting another club? I don't think the name fits you. It should be submarines, and other play toys... Even with your checkered past, You can not use anything to do with Street Kings, or any similar title.
Posted by: Brink74868
G,
Are you just mad because you can't join with a Rancher? BR>
It will not be a new club, just a subchapter of the Central Oklahoma ATV Club. More like "Trail Trickers, COAC Chapter". We could branch out all across America with seperate chapters. Even you could start a chapter with Ranchers. You could call it Oklahoma Lethargic Dwindlers of the Fast and Artistic Rancher riding Texans or O.L.D. F.A.R.T.'s (COAC Chapter). Just a way of identifying the smaller sub groups that sometimes breaks apart from the main group while riding.
I am in no way trying to break away from this finely assembled group that I am proud to be affiliated with. I also fully understand the by-laws set forth by BlAsTinKid42. I am not quite ready to turn in my super secret decoder ring yet.

I am about to trade up to a Brute also, If I can get enough out of the 03 Prairie. They offered me $4,800 trade in.

Sandman,

Ladies and Gentlemen,
It is with a heavy heart that I bring you this news. Please sit down for this may upset you more than you think. As I reported to work this evening, I was notified that the Prague City Lake Ranger/caretaker (Donna) has given her 2 week notice and has hereby resigned her post with the City of Prague. If anyone is looking for a rewarding career in the everchanging world of rangering, then you are urged to fill out an application with the said city. This position consists of everyday operations of a large body of water and an everchanging trail system and does include an occasional trip to the toilet facilities for a good mud removing.
Once again, I am sorry to have to be the bearer of such bad news at this time of the week, but I feel it is my duty.
Bob,
Looks like you no longer have to take one for the team. BR>

Mike,
Don't quote me on this, but a friend of mine used to have that job & it paid him just shy of a cool one grand (take home) per month + use of all the equipment, living accomidations, city vehicle, quad, & I believe water. I also believe the city pays for the basic phone connection.
Are you thinking of a career change?

Why don't you get the Police department to take over the Rangering? You guys could alternate at the lake? then you would have an excuse to ride more..... Not a bad deal. Where is this lady going? I'm sorry I never got to meet her and muddy up her facillities.

Well this comes as a shock to me. I do not see how she could have found a better job. And she was such a nice lady. I guess we will just have to make due without her.

I hope that me leaving while she was yelling and screaming at me to stop so she could check and see if i had payed played no part in her urge to leave a gravy job like that. LOL
Posted by: Brink74868
G,
We, the police of the City of Prague, do hereby reject your offer to become rangers. The job, unfortunately, is a bit more complicated than just screaming, cleaning crappers, and checking windshields. It also entails a bit of physical labor; i.e. mowing, painting, cleaning, maintaining trails, and hollering. I, as well as most of the others got into this line of work so we wouldn't have to physically toil. I appreciate the idea, but I already have a hard enough time keeping my 1 acre mowed during the summer.

Mellow greetings and salutations,
I just wanted to pass on a "Bovine Beast" only ride at Prague lake on March 18-20th at Prague Lake. If you were planning a ride there for any reason (ding dong the witch is dead), you may want to plan a ride elsewhere. The lake will be off limits to: Fishing, Hiking, ATVing, Camping, etc. and will only be inhabited by horses.

OK, OK... Maybe you guys being Rangers was not a good idea. I know you guys are busy finding, errr I mean fighting crime, in Prague. I just thought it would help with riding in your area. Maybe we should see if the ranger lady would like a job at James' place... she could lay carpet during the week and run the pay station at his place during the weekend. HAS ANYONE HEARD FROM JAMES??? How did his land deal workout? I think he got his NEW place up and going. BROTHER JASON, you should go check this out and report back to the group. We need to support James if we can. Seems like I got a note from James that his NEW place is 12 miles South of Seminole on Highway 99, and OPEN for business. Maybe we could schedule a ride there SOON. If we can ride there, we could also get the Ranger lady a GOOD job. Not only would would we be helping James, but we could help the Ranger lady be a contributing member of society again. WE just have to keep Andy from making her mad again.
Let me know on the Little River Trails. If James' new place is as good as the old place, I will come ride up there again. That was fun!!! Jimmy can NOT lead the group this time. You guys go and ride his new place, and let the rest of us know.
Why is Prague off limits? Do they close every year at this time? If it is closed, then you should really go check out James' place.
Posted by: Brink74868
G,
What a good idea!! If it comes from you, Missy may let me go. I will see what I can do about trying it out this weekend. I got the same E-Mail earlier. Looks like a relocation until June or July. As for the ranger lady, I had better not get involved, for Bob may be asked again to step up and I don't know if he's ready to take one for the team just yet.

It takes too much time to shrink the file size, resize the picture, and the upload it to a webhost to do that many pictures.
Ok...Yeah...I'm too lazy.

Take a look at this program. It works pretty well to make a BUNCH of pictures the same size. I use it for the Lions Clubs pictures.

Hello Everyone,
Thought I send an up date on what's going on. First, sorry about all the "trouble" at Prauge, hopefully it will work out for the good of all ATV riders.
Now for LRT. We had a scheduling hearing which didn't go as well as I had hoped. Our next appearance before the judge is not untill mid June. The reason we are in court anyway has to do with the road to our property whether it is a private road (for use only by surounding land owner) or a public road (access to everyone). The burden of proof is on us, which we have, we just can't get a sooner court date to get this settled. -- Gordon Thanks for the support -- In the mean time we have relocated six miles south of where we were. You can check out the info on our website.
On a side note: I can hold a "Private Party" like we did for the Polar Bear Ride (NO $$$'s). I will just need to know what date to put on the invitations. If anyone would like to suggest when a good day might be, I'm listening. We would have to meet in town (i.e. Homeland or WalMart parking lot) and travel in and out to the trails together. If there is enough interest, I can plan an overnite party. Just let me know what you want to do.
Bob - Your website is looking good, the photos are great.
Till next time,

G,
I'm still alive. I've just been extremely busy with all that's going on. Between work, our trail situation and the City Council, I'm covered up. I do try to check the forum every day to keep up with what you guys are doing. Dave and I were planning on coming down to Lake Murray next weekend to ride with everyone, but since we secured this new land deal, we'll be working at it. I hate missing that ride because I really like Lake Murray's trails, but I'm really excited about our new project too.
Anyway, I hope to see some of you guys this weekend and I'm certain you'll have a blast at Lake Murray.
Brent,
Lake Murray has 15 RV sites for $19.00 per night and SEVERAL primitive campsites which are (I think) $8.00 per night. You guys are gonna love that place.

Glad to see you and Super Dave back!!! Let us know what you need to do, and maybe Ginny and I can come help. I think we culd enlist Jason to help if he does not have "honey do" projects to complete. Maybe when we come, we could have a work day at your new place. I am game if everybody else is. I am planning on going next Sunday to Lake Murray. It will be fun. I like hanging out with you "Okies". See you soon.

Well...that didnt work out right...
What I was saying was that Mikey's ability to remain dirty because of a lack of a honey do list...seemed wrong...but never the more I think about ...I should have just taken the post literally and not tried to apply the Mikey psyche to it...now it all makes sense and is only wrong on maybe one or two levels ahahah.
Andy B...
I will probably go to Wild Wings tonight...I will definitely call ya. I played poker league last night so I will probably play trivia tonight...Wow I really do need a life.

Hey Jason,
I will not be able to make the ride this next coming weekend. So if Gordon gets stuck can you pull him out. I am selling my house if anyone needs a big house with big yard.
Posted by: Brink74868
Tex,
I apologize, but I probably will not be able to make it to this particular ride. Everytime I have something planned for a day that I work the night before, all hell breaks loose, thus cutting down on any available rest I may have been able to get the night before. I barely made it to Prague for the Ranger's (unplanned) last weekend to work & that is just 30 Minutes from home. Murray may prove to be more than even a God Jumper Extraordinairre can do. 6 hours from getting off of 4 nights, 1/2 hour drive home, 1 1/2 to 2 hour drive from there, hook up time, 3 hours sleep, minus 1/2 hour to wake up & get dressed, minus 1 hour of butt kissing to get permission to go, 2 weeks of angry spousal unit......
How about a raincheck? Maybe we should all go together & get G a winch for B-Day or Christmas?

My apologies to everyone for not posting this info sooner. LRT is not, will not, and did not relocate to a new location. It was literally the eleventh hour when everything fell apart. In short the "TRUE" owner of the land we were going to move to did not want ATVs on the property. We recieved this call at 11:30 PM on Friday. Talk about all hell breaking loose.
I'm still up to planning a private party on our 430 acres. Looking for a suggested date and time that all can enjoy.
James and I went out there this weekend and rode the riverbed. If was fun till I found a hole and tried to turn the ATV in to a submarine. Even that was fun at the time. We got it running a little later and had a good time.
