Bob,
As far as I know, My lovely spousal unit and I will be attending. Depending on what time everyone's leaving, I may even be on time. I did real good Saturday on 3 hours sleep. I can be ready to leave out by 11:00 a.m. Saturday if I can follow someone down there. We could even meet up at McAlester or something. I just don't want to get down there and be lost all weekend because I was too late.
Let me know,

Bob, Can we get this " land access permit" at any walmart ? Or do we get it down there in B.F.E ?
I would like to get the 3 day pass if possible, I dont really want to pay 16 $ for a season pass i will only use once this year. But if thats the way it is , so be it.

Just head South on Saturday morning. When you get to Antlers, Call us. Ginny and I will come get you. Have we decided where we are going to meet? If all goes right we will be there Friday night.

Brink, thanks for checking into the matter in such a polite fashion. You're probably right about the deputy being in a foul mood after recieving complaint calls. As far as I know, no one from the club was intoxicated or even drinking for that matter, which is a good sign of responsibility. I suppose we will continue to use the river in a "sensible" kind of matter and see what happens from there. Once again, Thanks.

The 9th is my weekend to work. We are going somewhere this weekend, just don't know where yet... I'd sure like to though. I've lived out here all my life and have never even been to Hoanubbe (sp?) I also work at Wal-Mart and didn't know they sold the permits.
I was on my way to work Saturday and met 2 loads of quads heading North...sure was hard to keep going south BR>
Oh yeah, Heywood, I called someone about Blackoak Arkansas being at the Deer Festival the guy didn't seem to think they'd be there.

Abby, Collin, and I are going to the river Sat. as soon as he is out of baseball practice. We are looking at leaving Edmond at 10:00. We will be taking a tv to watch the game. Hopefully we'll miss the traffic rush and be there by 11:00-11:15 at the latest.
Figured Mike's barking orders so I had better bring the whole family!

Do you need me to haul one of the quads Aaron?

Thanks, But I can get them crammed on the back of the truck and the little trailer I have. I just use double tiedowns so mine doesn't fall off the back!

Keith & Mike,
Thanks for bringing my attention to the Street Kings! I did not know that there was such an orgainzation. For years, there has been a small void in the bottom of my soul that I could never quite fill. I think with a little practice I, too, could become a Street King. I think with a little practice, I could be the 4th God Jumper.
Bob,
Are there any rules prohibiting dual membership in the club? If so, I'm sure you'll understand my decision to defect.

Just got back from Wally World and they had both the $16 and $5 land access permits. The $5 is only good for the Honobia and twin rivers area. If I understand The Bobman correctly, we are going to the Honobia Management area.
Bob just sent me directions. If you have a GPS program it is easy to find. Take the cloudy road thru cloudy for 3.6 miles N.E. That is a 4 way intersection. Turn left and immediately cross cloudy creek. The camping area is on the right after you cross the creek.
Bob,
Did I understand correctly?

What time is everyone leaving on saturday? I want to see if I can follow someone so I don't get lost . I never look at maps and I never stop and ask for directions ... guess all the women are right about men and how far is this place from norman?
Tyler
Posted by: Bobman
Tyler....not sure how far it is from Norman...Its about 170 miles from my house. if you are in Norman, you would be going out of your way to come to OKC and follow me to Brent's and then on to the riding area but you can if you like. I want to leave pretty early. Brent and I were talking about leaving his house around 6 AM. That should put us at the riding area around 10-10:30 AM if all goes well.
It's never too early for us to start making carpool/caravan plans...
I think Mike and Aaron will be going and they can follow me to Brent's as well.

The GPS lists the distance from the intersection of I-240 and I-35 to cloudy as 202 miles. It says the quickest way is I-40 east to Indian nation then south.
Tyler,
It is 215 miles from norman. The quickest is to I-40 then east.

If that doesn't work we can camp over by the grave or over somewhere near. Either way we can camp just about anywhere near Iron Springs.
Bob
Posted by: TyShark9
camping by a grave don't think I'll be camping by you guys.
Tyler
Posted by: Bobman
Tyler...
" The Grave" is exactly that, a grave. I would never camp on (or even near) the grave simply as a matter of respect, but some do, in fact its the same guy every year that camps there. He is an okay guy I just don't think he really realizes the irreverance. But as for the grave itself it is really more of a landmark and point of reference that people have used for years to tell someone how to get around in that part of the forest.
For many years the grave was uncared for, overgrown and unattended. But with the recent surge in patriotism, the grave has now been kept up, often with fresh flowers and a flag was flying high above last time I saw it. The grave itself is that of Private Dickson Solomon who died in France in WWI. When you see the grave you are going to ask yourself why did he want to be burried way out in the middle of nowhere? The story I heard (from Keith) is that at the time of his death that parcel of land was the tribal home to his tribe and he/they wanted him burried there. My guess is that in 1918, it was even more remote back then than it is now.
So when we say camp at the grave we don't really mean AT the grave, (although there is a pretty nice camping spot about 150 yards up the hill from there) as that would be disrespectful in my opinion. So there you have your daily dose of Oklahoma History...Hahahha. Tune in tomorrow when we talk about the time Bigfoot helped Jeb Stewart fight the Yankees on the banks of the Kiamichi River.
Posted by: TyShark9
thats a nice bit of info bob. thanks BR>just hope he doesn't haunt that area BR>

wow ... he really admitted that. i think thats why he rides so well. he doesnt have to worry about landing those jumps hard and hurting himself, because his testicles are protected in his girlfriends purse.
i'm kidding ty. any of us that are married will tell you that it isnt going to get better in the future either. wait til you join us sitting on the benches at the mall while our wives shop. on a good day we dont have to hold her purse, which is too large to NOT be noticed by everyone passing by, of course. you young guys think we dont see you laughing at us. but look again ... we're your future.
have fun this weekend. is OU's game at home this week? good luck with THAT traffic.

That was fully as hell. Well, guess I should have phrased that a little better. It feels like I am already married though, cause we have been together for almost 5 years now If she says the word mall, I say I have plans. And what is it with the big ass purses anyways. It's like they have half of the bedroom in there. and the thing weighs more than me. Well, guess thats enough ranting.

I work alot so it is hard for me to get away sometimes. I am looking forward to ridin' with you guys and gals. I recently purchased a new 04.5 700 and have not had time to ride it much. I live in far NW OKC and would like to meet up with folks leaving from OKC. I will only be able to stay on Saturday and will be coming home Sat. nite after we finish riding. I am going to be leaving my house about 4:30 AM and meeting up with my friend in Shawnee. we will try to leave his house around 6:00, conservatively thinking, that should put us at the riding area about 10:00 - 10:30.

Are you guys gonna follow me to Brent's or just meet up with us in Antlers or Rattan???
Is there anyone who does not have a state map? Is there anyone who will need directions on how to get to Rattan?
The easiest way to tell you how to get there frok OKC is to take I-40 east to Henryetta and then take the Indian Nations Turnpike south to Antlers, exit at Antlers and then proceed through Antlers east for 12 miles until you get to Rattan. We will most likely try to arrange a meeting place at Antlers (I am thinking Jim Ray's Quick Stop) or possibly at Rattan. The only problem is that the only store in Rattan has limited parking space. I would like to try to meet in Antlers around 9:30 or so if possible.

I will bring more then . Are we in for an Iron Butt session ? Bob you must be ready to put some miles on that 700 then . With 8 gallons and a full quad i can do about 130 miles.

Charlie,
The soil down there is a really strange variety. I am not an agricultural type person but it would be what I would call LOAM, it is really great about displacing water. It can rain 3 inches in 15 minutes and you look around there are no puddles, there is just a lot of yellow dirt. Its hard to describe but yes the parking area should suffice in bad weather.
Brent,
My quad uses about as much gas as my truck does...about 20 gallons for 200 miles hahahhaaa.
I would rather have it and not need it, then to need it and not have it.

You guys are welcome to stay with us if you want. (That goes for the rest of you also. The cabin will sleep 6 adults comfortably.
PS Jason...There is a mote outside the cabin just for you. It is only 2 or 3 ft deep
How much are the cabins per night?

I'm checking on a new cabin now. REBEL HILL IS FULL. I will let you know. Rebel Hill was $125.00 per night. IT would easily sleep 4 couples. I will find us a similar place.

Are you still going? Brent said you posted where you were not going but I didnt see it.
Jason....
I am shooting for 9:30 AM in Antlers America. I would like to meet at Jim Ray's Quick Stop. It is on the west end of Antlers and it would be on what is primarily the north side of the road (although I think the road is at an odd angle there) Either way if you are coming into Antlers from the west Jim Ray's will be on your left hand side of the road. Everyone can fuel up and buy their Permits there if they do not have them already. They also have regular (as opposed to irregular???) convenience store items for any last minute needs. I think we should have a pretty good time.

I have an idea. Do you think you can meet up with Brent and I at the BIG REST STOP on I-40? It is on the east side of Shawnee. I am not sure how far it is fromSeminole but this is the BIG rest stop. that is like 2 or 3 acrees and has the Big High lights and the vending machines and stuff. You know which one I am taling about? Can you meet us there between say 6:15 and 6:30??? We will try to be there. We will be in a Maroon Ford pulling a trailer with a Yellow Suzuki and a Red Kawasaki on board. We will be on the look out for you.

Thanks guys fpr being so caring on Sunday. Ginny and I were beat. We hung around the Bed and Breakfast eating a GREAT breakfast and drinking coffee. THAT IS A TRUE COMPLIMENT!!

Despite all the rain , i still had a good ride saturday and sunday. If you have never been where we were you really need to go. Any bike can have a good time on those roads. Its even easy to get lost with a "guide" in the lead. I dont think we had as much fun as Charlie and Chuck on sunday . It was nice to meet Shawna and Dena , I hope you 2 can make it up here sometime for a ride.

Gordon & Ginny,
Charlie and Chuck went the right way. They got to see a lot of stuff that we didnt. Sunday we all got caught on the trail when the main onslought (sp?) of rain came down. I agree with brent, despite the rain I had a really good time. I just wish that I would have been able to get in a little fishing. To me though, the best part was just meeting new people and getting to know others better. Keith, Brent, Chuck, Charlie and myself sat around the fire for the better part of 2-3 hours and talked about riding, everyday life and everything from 4-wheelers to satellite TV to trailer construction.
Chuck & Charlie,
It was GREAT to meet with you all again and get to know you. I love to lookover and compare maps and such, and once I get a mapping GPS I want to sit down with you and go over more stuff about that. I hope you guys come to the river with us for the cookouts (although that may be coming to an end soon witht he cooler weather). Again I really enjoyed getting to know you guys better and hope to see more of you in the future.
Shawna & Deana,
It was great to meet you two gals. We enjoyed riding with you all and look forward to meeting you all again in the future. We were impressed with the way you two kept up with Brent and I on the cloudy road when we came back at full throttle. We hope to see you all again both on the boards and again in person.
Mike, Ty & Aaron,
Brent and I found a hill that you all would LOVE to go up, not only is it on a pretty good grade but it has 12-16" speed bumps that you guys could get some good air on. Plus on the logging road straits you all could run as fast as you like on nice hard, compacted dirt.
Jason & Missy,
It was great to see you all again, Jason just needs to start taking things less seriously and loosen up, ahahahahaha. Missy....start wearing gloves so us guys that do won't feel like such wusses.
Jimmy,
It was good to meet and ride with you. Aaron and I need more Pokes fans in the group so you HAVE to return. We will meet at the river in Purcell very soon again and will let you know when that will be. I hate that you drove so far for only 3 hours riding time..but maybe next time you can stay overnight and get in more riding.
To the couple we met in Henryetta at the EZ Mart,
It was good to meet you two and if you are reading this then you found the right link to our board. We hope to ride with you in the future and send us mail we will give you a club directory and tell you when and where future events will take place.
If I missed anyone please forgive me as I can not remember everyone's names but I think I got everyone. I really enjoyed meeting everyone and hope to see you all gain soon.

Bob,
Once again, thanks for starting the club. Missy & I have really enjoyed the rides and this weekend was no exception. This is a GREAT area & we look forward to more rides there. As I stated before, I really look forward to more of the trail riding, but the roads were absolutely breathtaking. Next time I will check my pockets better before leaving work so we won't have to leave early. I will probably also leave my phone off so I can't be reached.
Jim,
It was nice riding with you and we look forward to seeing you again.
Charlie & Chuck,
It was nice meeting you guys. Too bad you couldn't have gotten "misplaced" with us (we were NEVER lost, just ask Keith). Maybe we can hook up & ride Muenster or something at a later date.
Shawna & Dena,
Sorry we missed you two, but I have many bad habits. One is keeping other people's stuff & forgetting to return it. I had a nice fella's house keys & he needed them (long story) so we had to leave Saturday night. Another of my vices is breaking stuff & drowning my Quad, which I did NOT do this time (Hurray for me!!!!!) BR>
Gordon & Ginny,
Once again, it was a pleasure to see you guys!! Gordon, many thanks for the hats!! We will hook up and do the Muenster thing, I promise. Thanks for the invite!! If you haven't given David directions to the board, do so pretty soon.
David,
Good luck learning the GPS! I have had mine for several months and still haven't figured out half of the crap it does, so don't feel bad. Heck, mine don't even have roads on it.
All in all, it was a GREAT ride even if we didn't stay but half a day. Missy isn't much into going outdoors when the temperature is below 65 or 70, but I love it. She may be hard to find until March or April. Something about temperature tolerance seems to follow one's figure. I can't help it that she's skinny & I'm a bit portly. BR>

Bob, Thanks for starting the club. It has given me a chance to meet some new and interesting folks. It is hard to find time to do the fun things in life. Thanks for setting a date and arranging the campout/ride. Chuck and I really enjoyed sitting around the fire and talking. I wish all could have stayed. That was the most fun of the weekend. It is never boring with Keith around.
Next campsite needs to be south of Cloudy Road. Bob told us about it and checked it out. Tall trees to park under and Little River only a few yards away. Much easier to find time to fish. What most of you may not know is that we had local talent as camphosts and tour guides. Bob and Keith know the area and a lot about the the natives. We had some great history lessons on the area.
As Brent said, any ATV (even Banshees) and rider skill level would feel comfortable in that area. There was only one time we had to pick a line and that was when we came to a washed out bridge over Little River. We went down stream a little to some rapids and crossed there. It wasn't bad, just had to pick a line to stay on top of the rocks.
We met a dad and his kid (About 10-12 yrs. old). They crossed the same area and the kid had less trouble than any of us.
WE got to ride about 130 miles. The last 20 in rain. We got a feel for the area terrain. East toward Pickens, flat and boring. North to great Vista views and mountains. Along the river for tree covered trails. The next time it will be exploring time. Checking out all the side trails to see where they go and find some unexpected treasures. And use the trail feature on the GPS to find our way back.
The sport quads would have had a ball in the rain. Power sliding with the wheels throwing a stream of mud and water.
Need some input,
I have thought about taking an older travel trailer and converting it to a Toy Hauler. I could probably do the conversion and sell it for less than half on a new unit. Would like feedback on what you think the market might be in this area. Out west, the Toy Hauler is the hottest item in RV's, but don't see that many here.
Gordon,
Thanks for the hats and it was good to meet you guys. Maybe we can come down your way, eat a McGeehees and ride muenster, tx. Is texas capitalized if they loose to OU? lol
Looking forward to the next time

Charlie,
I am holding out on buying an RV until I find a good toy hauler. I can't see going camping without my quads and I will not pull two trailers. I think the toy hauler population is about to burst at the seamswith the exploding popularity of ATV's. If you can do it, you will stay extremely busy!!
Good luck,
Jason
Posted by: Bobman
Charlie,
I agree with Jason, I think Toy Haulers will soon take off as possibly the leading component of the RV market. The reason I say that is based on observations of last deer season when I rode the same area in which we camped this weekend. In the past, say 10-12 years back, one rarely saw RV's in the are be it motorhome or TT. All campsites were filled and it was 95% tent dwellers. Last season keith and I did not hunt (I have never hunted) but rather just drove around and talked to various people. What we noticed was that the tables had turned and it was quite the opposite, we saw only ONE tent camp and the others all had TT or Motorhome. And of those with motorhomes, the vast majority also had quads. I think more and more hunters are seeing the quad as an integral part of their hunting equipment. While horses would be more conducive they are just too much maintenance and cost more in the long run. So I think we can say that the quad will remain the utility vehicle of choice for most hunters.
Now, one reason that may be the cause of seeing the campers exclusively use RV's in that area is the Land Access Fee. The land access permit does not appeal to the lower socioeconomic groups who would most likely be tent campers so that may be giving an artificially inflated ratio of RV/tent campers but that is the trend I picked up. Whether the increased transition to RV's is widespread or not I can not say but it does seem that I see more of them on the roads these days. In October/November and March/April, I-35 is heavily loaded with Snowbirds heading N/S depending upon the season. I know that if I could afford it I would get a toy hauler. BUt then again after such a wonderfully refreshing tent session last weekend it would be hard to get me to give up the nylon castle which made such a wonderful abode this last trip, Hahaha.
But now that I have rambled and rambled I will sum it all up by saying a couple more things (should be able to wrap it up in 10-12 paragraphs) I think toy haulers are great, I think Travel Trailer are great. I only have one 1 quad so I do not require a lot of "garage space" in a toy hauler. Some of the ones I have seen are 24' that devote and equal 12' to living and 12 to garage. I would prefer a 16' living quarter and 8' garage section.
I also think it would be reat to have a toy hauler that would possibly be easily adaptable to change up the ratio of living to garage space, maybe place brackets or slots where the bulkhead seperating garage and living area could be moved with just a few moderate modifications.
Also, one thing you might think about (and I am sure the larger mfg's have thought of this as well). I am hardly an expert on things Mechanical (as those of you who ride with me often can attest) but it seems to me that if you could develop a moderatly nice toy hauler that could be hauled behind a vehicle like mine (Small V-8 3.55 rear end, F-150) you would sell more because that way people would not have to trade in their current truck for a more expensive F-250 or Chevy 2500 etc. That way people will not have to choose between a new tow vehicle or a used motorhome as many do. This way you could sell more trailers as people could more readily afford them since they would not have to buy a new tow vehicle.
Another thing to consider is like we talked about, toy haulers are best suited to 1 week stays at the longest. With most trips being weekeders so I think you could get by with "moderate" living conditions, that way you could elimintate more weight. If you have to eliminate anything I woudl eliminate the kitchen area as most people cook outside when they are camping/riding/hunting. If I had a toy hauler I would just want a space to sit, sleep and watch TV in the COLDEST airconditioned environment you can find.
Well I rambled enough. I think you can sell them Charlie, I just have no idea how to build them, but I think the market is there and I think that with the internet anyone can market a product and find buyers.

im glad everyone had a good time. the only thing missing was a nice sleet storm.
we need to do that again pretty quick.
and charlie, if youre serious about making those toy haulers, holler at me. i think theres a pretty good market in thos area. kevin wingate there in purcell sells a few, so theres at least a small market just right here locally.
i know a little about selling stuff like that, and lord knows i have the time. give me a yell and maybe we can put something together.
now thats enough about bidness ... lets talk about when we're going to ride again !

Bob (and Charlie),
In the Weekend Warrior brand I saw, the back wall folds down into a ramp and you merely roll the carpet forward into the "living room" to haul your quad(s) on the linoleum floor. When you arrive, you roll out the toys, roll the carpet back, and the whole critter is living space again. There are mods (of course) to turn the "ramp" into a patio with an awning or mosquito netting where the back door (wall) lives. I, like Bob, think the idea of a partition (sp?) seperating the quads from the living area is a dumb one & only gives up precious space in a RV.

Jason,
The benefit of having a divider between the quads and the living area is that you can cut down the square footage of living area that the heating/cooling system has to take care of. Plus, it cuts down on the smell of gas and oil and things like that. I think the idea of a partition is good, I just think it might be cool if you could move it (kind of like the adjustable trays in your tackle box) by having a series of clamp locks that would snap it in place. I don't think it would be a load bearing wall so you wouldn't really have to worry about that.

I think you are on to something with the toy haulers. Ginny and I WILL NEVER BE A CUSTOMER, BECAUSE WE DON'T LIKE TO CAMP. That being said, we might use a toy hauler to spend the day in or just have a bath room. We are going to buy a new pickup with a big back seat to take another couple with us. The more diverse the group the more a toy hauler makes sense. I also think groups would rent them to cut down on the number or vehciles going on a ride like ours. Let me know if you want a partner. I think ANYTHING that gets people out riding will sell. You just can't have fun like we did on Saturday and not get other people involved.
Here's another idea we need to discuss. Why don't we buy some land in Rattan, or Broken Arrrow and put a cabin in for all of us to use. The toy hauler and RVS could park on the land next to the cabin. We could ALL visit ater riding and get to know each other better after a hard days ride.

We missed you. Ginny and I rode 40 miles on Saturday. The rest of the group would have gone 100 miles had they not had to wait on us. You would have enjoyed the trails, and Charlie. See you next time
Posted by: lvthoutdrs
Gordon,
Thanks for the input. Hope you can stay in camp next time as you missed all the campfire STORIESBR>
I have owned cabins before and you end up going to that area because you have a cabin there. You would rather go somewhere else for a change. You have the maintenance of a second home and a few would end up with all the work.
My wife doesn't like to camp either or stay in motels. As she says, I've done that. But we have spent up to 6 months a year away from home.
With an RV, you take your cabin with you, If you want to see a different area it's easy, You don't have to use a realtor.
If you don't like your neighbors, turn the key clockwise. (did you see our neighbors Sat. night??!!BR>
It would be a better idea for the club to own an RV and charge a maintenance fee to use. There would be some problems and hard feelings, so maybe that is not a good idea.
The last time I stayed in a motel was 4 years ago in CO. After you have done that an RV is next on the list.
With an RV, you can be as simple or complex as you want. From what Bob wants with a bath, bed, chair and good AC to all the conveniences of home.
With the SE OK area being free to camp (only the user access fee) it is hard to beat.
Bob, how long can you stay in one area? In the state parks, it is two weeks.
Charlie (im ready to go again) Peters

i dont think there is a limit to how long you can stay in one spot. as long as you dont build anything lol.

-heywood-

Charlie...
What you said about the cabin is so true. When I had my lake spot I ended up going there many weekends when I really didnt want to just so that I could do some work on it. A big part of why I sold it was because I realized that I was becoming just like the people who had been there for many years. They were the same 8 people sitting around the same picnic table on the same deck talking about stuff that happened 3-4 years ago. Now don't get me wrong I am not saying anything bad about them, they are still some of my best friends, but it is just like I predicted. Three years later and they are still there doing the same stuff. I have no delusions of Grandeur but I did like to think that I was at least going to "expand my horizons" beyond the shores of Lake Carl Blackwell's Cabin Cove East...Anyway...I agree that any "club member co-op owned" property is just a bad idea waiting to happen. In fact, Community property is part of what caused me to lose the best friend I ever had.

Ok so points that need to be clarified.
1. the sticker guy... Why did it show up on our page in the first place?
2. The cabin sounds like a bad deal. ( I had not thought about being the only place you could go. I forgot my childhood.)
3. Charlie's toy hauler still sounds good.
4. When are we riding again... Seems like someone said November 9, but I would have to go back way too many pages to find the post. (even past the sticker guy)
5. Haywood--- following someone home once or twice does NOT make you a stalker. Maybe a dreamer, but definetly not a stalker.

You will make it just fine with stock tires. You sport quad guys won't have any excuse. There will be all kinds of quads there.

I have a tent you are welcome to borrow if you will keep Keith away from it with his knife.BR>
Ronnie,
Is this still your plan?

I think I gave the keys to Jason... He is good with keys.
October 23rd is out for us. We have my college reunion that weekend. As old as my classmates are, we have to see each other before we die.

Gordon,
Can you bring some sticker next time? This way every one will have sticker to match their hats that you gave them.

Charlie...thanks for the offer.
I have a brand new tent still in box (just the right size for me, thats why I didnt have too many misgivings about the one that was donated) its not as big as the one I took to SE Ok but it is a better quality tent I am sure. Remember the one I took the other day was a "returned merchandise" special.
The 23rd is a Saturday and I will be working, then I think I may actually have some plans that evening.
Charlie, also I was looking on line and in case you had not run across it there is a site called www.toyhaulermagazine.com it has a lot of links and other items there it was pretty interesting. I looked at the Weekend Warrior models and kinda liked them.
If I ever come up with one of them just be ready to say, "Naaah officer, he was over at my house all day the day that bank was robbed"

"better quality"? if it has a roof, its better quality than that piece of cheesecloth we slept under.
even so, it was a great weekend.
i'm going back tuesday, which also happens to be my birthday. and no, i dont want a "tent" for my birthday. i might be interested in the chalice de la soprano tho.

and yeah, im stalkin shawna. it's on now!

My own stalker...I feel so important BR>
I've seen those toyhaulers somewhere, probably when we went on vacation this summer. I think they'll be a big hit At the Antlers Deer Festival, they had a trailer with a tent that folded up inside the trailer, then you could haul your quads on top of the trailer. It also transformed into a semi-enclosed trailer. (as you can tell, I don't really know what I'm talking about) It was pretty neat, but a little on the expensive side...and your still camping in a tent--no air conditioner.

The toy haulers are pimp...I almost got one a while back, then realized that I would use it about exactly once a year.
Click here then look through the "Toy Haulers" section....It would be quite cool.

Bob,
I agree the Weekend Warrior seems to be the most popular.
Chris,
Yea, LS is little sahara. We will be riding a grey predator and a blue banshee. If we go for the day Saturday, will be in a white ford f350 crew cab dually. If we go overnight, will be in a dutchstar motorhome. Will camp in the north campground. Either will be pulling a 3 quad sideloader trailer with a toolbox on rear and a fuel jug rack on front.
will post later as to which it will be

Charlie,
Yes, on the Little Sahara trip. We are leaving on Thursday morning arond 4:00am. We should get there about 8-8:30am. We always camp in the north camp if there is any room. I like being close to the big dunes. We will stay until Sunday afternoon.
I will be driving a 1996 Dark green 4 door F-350 4X4 and Matt will be driving his Z-71. Just look at my picture page and HoundDog06 picture page and you will see most of the toys that we are taking plus 2 grizzlies for the night rides, for the boys and their girlfriends. They tell me something about it is more fun with the girls on the grizzlies instead of the the sport bikes. They can just ease around and see the night sights.
There is even some boys from Fort Worth coming up.

Are you the chosen one because of your pictures or your stalking??

Neo "The One",
Have you been to see the Oracle? I feel special just being near you on "the special day". And I thought you were mental the whole time. I guess you "artist" types call it being eccentric? BR>Anyway, congratulations. I will be expecting a speech soon.
