I tried to start up a club where I used to live. A friend of mine and I were going to buy a 13 acre plot that had a bunch of trees, a small steam, and a couple of buildings on it. We had planned on one large track or two smaller ones.
A nearby farmer found out about it, snatched it out from under us, and started dozing everthing in. Total bummer
If your really going to start a riding club I would be interested.

It cost me $26 a piece to register my quads when they were new. The registration lasts for two years and with it and a flag you can legally ride the ditches and snowmobile trails in the winter. ( if there is at least a tenth of an inch of snow on the ground)
I'm pretty sure that the reason that you have to be registered is b/c it's a public area and there must be some DNR money in it somewhere. It's not a terrible price for two years.
Sure is cool to see all of the interest in a new club, RUNMEDOWN really started something.

Every time I drive past the place in CB the gates are locked. Does anyone know when the area will actually be open? I believe that you have to register your machine in Iowa to ride there legally, but I don't think it's a very big deal (or expense) to do so.

I want to start a new nebraska club, I bought my first atc in 85 ( I was 8 years old) That was in minisota (summer home) now it's back in Omaha with me and compleatly moded, I am also finishing the paperwork on a '02 400ex today, I need a place to ride other than randolph kansas. I only go 1 weekend a month with JUST JEEPS OF OMAHA

been out of the room for a month, should get this thing going now that it's nice enough to ride, it seems like every time I get on track, I just get bogged down again. I'll keep trying to get this set up and mabey send some e-mails but if not, lets still get a list of local riders.(someone to play with)
