Hey Dragin you ever been there before? It's only 600 acres but it might be fun to try it for something different. It's kind of a haul but it could be fun. I've only been to Kermit and Glamis. I'm looking for some other dunes to ride.

Mud??? Are you sure you live in Odessa?Yeah I'm planning a trip to Lil Sahara in O.K. in May. Can't wait. Hope it's not too crowded. I hate ruts.

Have you heard of that new place opening up around Ozona. Gonna a great place to ride when it opens up. Lots of acreage to ride on.

Yours Look Fantastic!!! Nice!

Thanks alot. I really like them. Although they are really set up for dunes. Gonna have to put all the protective gear back on if I do ever go ride there.

Here's some pics of the place. They had to fight really really hard to get this place. The surrounding ranchers fought them tooth and nail but they prevailed with lots and lots of Atv'ers support and letters/calls to Austin. They surrounding ranchers had ties to Austin and it almost didn't go thru.

I havn't been yet...It does sound like something fun and different.
Maybe some day soon we will get in some sand time in Pismo or Glamis.
I'm thinking about Little Sahara too.
I really want to ck out Lake Murrey in OK by Ardmore. Take the trail machines!
Muenster and so many more places to go with the trail machines.
I may have a hard time adjusting to mud...BR>

I put a link in the Kermit Chatter Fourm to Salt Flats Races...there were some cool links to other TEXAS riding areas...on of them had MUDDIEGRAW. Looks like a blast.

Hey you are not that far from White Sands, too bad you can't ride there! I wish they would open it up for motorized vehicles. But I suppose it being a National Monument and all no chance of that happening any time soon. OH WELL!

can't get drunk with your buddies now?? I believe as long as you are a responsible drinker and pick up your trash..bottoms UP! He isn't the law...he can't tell you you can't drink in the camping area or in the dunes...Just remember, if you pack in...pack out~

The Mascalero ridge that runs from around Carlsbad all the way up to above Roswell is all scattered dunes. there is a park east of Roswell about 20-40 miles. My favorite place to ride on the stretch is east of Artesia near Loco Hills. the ones there are accessible by oilfield roads and are free. Cant remember specific road though.
