How wou;d I get there from Seattle?

I woud like to check it out. Does it allow overnight camping? Tent or Trailer/camper?

Thanks

I have ridden at Moses Lake forever and Beverly also. I like Moses but Beverly is way to small.

How does Juniper compare to Moses and Beverly?

Posted by: TractorPacker

I saw like 3 trees? Yeah, 3 trees when I was there. How many trees, is a forest?

A few of my photos are at Juniper.

A group of PSAR folk might go to Moses on 1-1-06, if any one wants to go.

Juniper is in between moses and beverly, for the amount of riding. There is some cool hills, that you can jump the tops. From hill to hill its mainly whoops for a mile straight, but I find those fun.

Photo 19 and 21 are from Juniper in my gallery.

Take the Pasco-Kahlotus hwy...take a left on the dirt road across from the crop dusting place (it's a private road, I think it's called Richardson road), drive in about 5 miles and you'll come to the first staging area.

That's it!!! Thank you! It's been a while since I've been there, I couldn't remember the name for sure, but I knew it was something pretty common. BR>

The dunes weren't closed, the private road to them was.

Juniper Dunes outside of Pasco, when the road isn't blocked by the locals.

You can do either.......I run my dirt tires cause there's a lot of silty/packed dirt in between dunes and the dunes aren't that big that u'd need paddles.....
I just like keeping my paddles in good shape for when I really need them and IMO Moses is not when I really need them..... JMHO BR>

Ya I think this ride might not happen. The weather in the moutains is getting worse and their's a 40% chance of rain @ Moses.......Watch for other rides going your way........

Have fun riding today......Later

It's still called Juniper Forest... I've been riding there for 20 years now. There is a forest there?

Posted by: Topper

I haven't been out for awhile, I'm not sure if I know how to ride any more? It's time to find out!

Posted by: Topper

My Son and I rode Juniper on Christmas eve day. We had a great time, it was great weather and great sand. We were the first ones on many of the dunes there. It looks like I'm going to skip work one day this week so we can hit it again.

Posted by: Topper

How does that place compare to Juniper? We might make it???

Posted by: Topper

Paddles or no paddles?

Posted by: Topper

We just might need to take this trip...... I'll keep you posted. Are you camping out there?

We had a GREAT time at Juniper today. It was sunny in the low 50's with hardly no one around..... Only problem was the puddles. It has rained so much here that in between every whoop was a small lake. My sone liked it though....

Posted by: Topper

Yeah, but I'm on the east side........

Posted by: Topper

I would look at a 400Z or the 400EX both are great all around quads! I think you would be happy with either one

Posted by: Topper

It's called Peterson road...... When you are going down the highway look for a HUGE orange mail box, then take the left down the gravel road.....

Posted by: Topper

Sweet Video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif" border="0">

Camping is just out in the middle of the parking lot. Nothing out there.

I have been going to the Moses Lake dunes for a while, and I was wondering if anyone knows of any other sand dunes in Washington state?

Damn it! I finally get the right state and still there is a million mile gap. Owell I guess. So, here's a question for everyone (sorry I can't post a new thread yet) - I am looking to get a quad within the next couple months. I used to be really into it but then my step dad sold all our quads (a**hole!) so I haven't ridden in a few years. Now that I am old enough to buy my own I am contemplating either Raptor 660, yfz250, or honda trx 400ex. I am a chick so reverse and auto start are the most practical for me (especially since I haven't ridden in a while). I LOVE to race and go fast but I don't know jack about fixing them so I will need something reliable as well. Any thoughts?

Posted by: anjyl99

Sweet thanks - to both of you! I just got to get my quad now then I can go ridin with people over here! Sweet!!
