Sand stars are excellent all around tires, and the wear issues you're experiencing havent been my experience or what I've heard from others. We usually run 3 or 4 pounds in the rears, more in the fronts. Haulers are great paddles but are better for straight line running as alpha said. Skat trak's edge v paddles may be more of what you're looking for if you want to step up from the sand stars.

Really depends on your weight. I'm 215 and running around 3.5psi on my Sandstars. But I think anywhere between 3 and 5 should be okay. As for the Haulers, they are good for going in a straight lines. Sandstars are better all around tires. Not to say that haulers aren't good for all kinds of duning, it just that they are better suited for going in straight lines.

That's about what I've ran down there with good luck.

I've ridden the Sand Stars on a 250ex, Z400, and , LT80 img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">

On my Z400 i run only ITP sandstars on the rear o' it at the dunes. The top of the blades are rounding off and seem to be wearing out fairly fast. I was told it was because i was running to much air pressure (5psi) Is this true or did i just get a bad set? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Also i heard Haulers are good all around tires any1 have any thing 'bout them?
