For mild jumping I'd suggest the .160 black label douglas wheels. The .125's are the lightest but the .160's will hold up better when you get some air under the bike.

what you guys recommend for air pressure?
Depends on sand conditions, but usually 3-5 pounds.

Avoid steel on any sport bike. See the Douglas web site about the labels: Blue is thinnest, Black in between, and Red is the thickest.
Sandstars themselves are kind of heavy (like all molded sand tires). I would choose them only for a big bore. Your LT is a lightweight, so keep it that way. I would go with some buffed down Skat-Traks, and black label Douglass (blue will bend) or ITP T-9's.

I have a set of sand stars front and rear with black labels in the back and blue labels up front
i got the sand star fronts just cause i guess i am too picky and wanted a matched set
the only other fronts i would run are the skat-trak mohawks but that is just because i think they look cool i have no idea how they perform

Well i think the sand stars would be fine with your quad, i had them on my blaster which is smaller than yours. as for rims i would too, go with the black label douglas.

im new here and am getting some sand stars for my 1985 lt250r. my question is what kind of wheel should i get with them, since its an old suzuki the bolt pattern is kinda weird so not many wheels are available. my choices are itp steel wheels and then the 3 thicknesses of douglas ones. which one is going to be the lightest? i do mild jumping and some trails and some drags. thanks for the help.
