you'll be back in the saddle in 4-5 weeks tops. that is assuming you are getting Orthoscopic surgery, and they dont have to open you knee up.

I was a senior in High School and torn my cartlidge over Christmas Break. We had a pretty good basket ball team, and I didnt wont to let me team mates down, so I just used a Knee brace and played through it. When my knee would pop out that would be it for me for that game, but after a few days it would feel good enough to play on it again. It was definatley the most painful way to go, but I think I would have regreted not playing my Senior year more.

Nah. I haven't been yet. There's some pretty good dunes close by me that I frequent a lot (Kermit Texas). I'd like to go sometime. I'm really wanting to plan another trip to Glamis. Those big dunes and bowls are calling my name again!

I know what you mean about riding. All of the daily issues just go out the window. It's a total feeling of freedom. I'm sure you know what I mean.

they just had a hand type deal so the snake couldn't whip around and bite me.
needless to say that was after a few beers.

I was extremely happy, I love going down there and getting away from everything here, plus I get to do a lot of riding. do you go to the little sahara a lot?

Posted by: Raptorchic22

I have bever been to Glamis. If I am lucky I might get 2 or 3 trips to Little Sahara a summer. I only went once this summer.

Yes I do know what you mean it is a totally about the freedome riding, not having to worry about anything just go out and ride.

i was planning on going over halloween weekend as well, but my trip got canceled, i tore 90 percent of my cartilage. so now i am up on crutches for awhile. i get to schedule my surgery next week sometime. if you go down over halloween you will see a bunch of my friends down there.

Posted by: Raptorchic22

i am ready to get off these crutches and back on my quad. i miss riding already. every day i walk out to the garage and see it just sitting there calling my name. I tried to putt around on it the other day, that was a mistake, my knee was throbbing after that. so i have to stay off of it.
I have a question how long did it take you to recover after surgery?

Posted by: Raptorchic22

yes i am getting Orthoscopic surgery done. It will be a few weeks before they can do it. I have another check up next week and i am going to schedule the surgery then.

I tore my cartilage by being stupid and taking a dare from my brother. A few weeks ago we had some flooding here in Topeka with Solider Creek. Well we have a field by my parents and there is a good jump that we made. We get the bright idea to go look at the creek just to see how high it was. On the way back to the house my brother stopped me and said "i dare you to hit the jump in 4th gear" needless to say the jump is only about 3 feet high. So i did, i got about 6 feet in the air and landed on all four wheel, but my body was a little side ways on the land and fell off, well then the quad decided to lay over and the front tire went right over my knee. So the now i am on crutches. I have missed 2 races since the accident and i am not to happy about it.

Posted by: Raptorchic22

No i am not like other chics, i love to ride. i do crazy stuff if people dare me to do it.
yeah i dared my brother but he said he will do it another day. he was worried about since i was just laying there for a few minutes. but i did get back on and ride it back to my parents. the good news is that nothing broke on the quad, which made me happy. the first thing i asked was what did i break on the bike? my brother goes don't worry about it, i was like no what is broke so he looked at it and said there is nothing wrong with it. then i got up.

i have a picture on the wynoka site. with me holding a rattlesnake. i do have some other pictures if you would like to see. but i will have to email them to you.
