I ran all night fro night and all day sat @ Dumont. I didnt see any yfz 470 or anything . Maybe I raced it and couldnt tell. When was it out there? Alls I had to race was the banshees and outran most of em.

Yes I ran the LT500 TURBO GSXR " Yes Turbo" he was doing 75 MPH and beat me by 10+ lengths. THe LT was doing 75"+"mph and was running w/ the super alky drag banshees. I was hitting 59mph maybe low 60s on a fresh bottle and 56mph on all motor. Any other 4 stroke besides that turbo gsxr got annihilated. And I beat most of the in frame alky banshees 98% of them.
If the turbo Lt had more of a smooth surface he would have done even better, That thing was quit a knarly contraption.

went to glamis. what a circus. some fast bikes on saturday afternoon. i didnt even go on a ride until sunday because it just flat out wasnt fun or safe IMO with all the wet sand and people everywhere. we rode out to olds on sunday and to brawley slide and back to gecko. cant wait for things to dry up.

where were you racing and when? was this on the right side with the drag bikes? i was there for a couple hours on saturday afternoon and didnt see any fast four strokes all weekend nor hear about it from people there were there non stop racing. those numbers you posted suggest you wouldve beaten the fastest honda which wasnt no slouch.

whoops, i just saw you were at dumont. thought you were talking about glamis i was like holy crap thats fast at olds with super wet sand and ruts on the starting like that would make anyone cringe.

lol the case saver. yea I thought it would at least slow it down. the banshee style slider in the back broke and knocked the chain off. the case saver was destroyed along with my case. what really sucked is that it was friday just pulled it out of the trailer and was warming it up around camp in 1st and 2nd. what if I was in 5th. well any ideas how to find a cheap one. I cant find one on ebay. I'm looking for salvage yard in cali but so far no luck. I can do the labor. I hope it will be fixed by T-day but if not I have spares but not nearly as fast or fun.

I went to Dumont. Finally got to test the 440Warrior. Beat a FMF pipped shee, and most 400s. It even beat a stock yfz450 with sand stars. Finally got to put the YFZ vs. Banshee race to bed. YFZs are fast, but not fast enough. Beat a YFZ470 on alky, barely. Starter broke on sandrail getting it off the trailer, so no ride in that. Kids rode good, wife loves new bike, noone in my camp hurt, good racing, great weekend. Thanksgiving is next.

It was a white yfz with 22 or 23 inch haulers and a huge swingarm. I ran it early friday. They had a radar gun with em and the yfz was pulling the long side at 44mph. My buddies TRX450 did 39 and my shee did 46. They came back fri night with a gsxr motor LT500 and killed that 727 Bombadier that was on NOS. I raced a bit fri night but mostly watched. Did most of my racing sun morning. There were 3 yfz's that were faster than the rest, a burgundy one that the dude said was completely stock (sleeper), and 2 blue ones. One had an LRD pipe and the other I do not remember but they got me by a bike or so.

I just realized that you are the 727 bomber! Is it true that gsxr LT500 beat you by half a hill?? My buddy on the TRX told me about it. I saw you friday night and your bike is stupid fast!
Posted by: cruddymutt
I never saw the LT500 but those were the same guys that had the alky yfz470. The 470 was poppin alot like bad jetting but I am not sure. Hey, I'll take the win cause I probably wont next time.

Yeah, it was crazy. I almost had a few people crash into me. A truck came close to it too. Old's was even crazier. I was getting bumped on all sides there. I watched a bit of the races on Saturday afternoon. There were some fast Shee's there. Didn't see too many fast 4strokes. Well, at least I had enjoyed the little time I had. Sand was choppy as heck though.

Some case savers are crap. What kind were you using?
Posted by: AlphaRaptor660R
Sorry to hear about your mishap. Hope you get things back in order soon. Yeah, a little piece of aluminum ain't gonna do much that's for sure. If it makes you feel any better one of my friends let his friend ride his tricked up Banshee in the street. The guy hit a curb, flipped and tore the Shee up. Anybody looking for scrap metal?

I'm sorry to hear about your girl.Overall I had a great weekend. The sand was quite wet and rough.I did see where a guy got plowed on a 400ex thank god the rider was ok.It happened right by our camp.
