Yep I was there at Dumont, and the wind and dust was really going on that weekend. Some points you couldnt even see the next trailer across from you.... Hope it rains before the weekend but I am looking forward to Pismo, like Dabeechman said, its all setup and the sand is dragged by a few nice people at a time. I missed it last year but still had a blast at Dumont. I maybe at Pismo the begining fo the week but may leave early because of family coming in from out of town.

Reserve America - 1-800-444-7275
They have the Monopoly of the campgrounds.

DaBeechMan - What is going on at Pismo bro, why are they enforcing the DB level now? They have told me all year long that they would never do that and now there is no drag racing at pismo with loud pipes. My buddy almost got a ticket last Saturday and went for three days and only had an hour of ride time

Yes it really is, unfortunate that they will lose my revenue over there. Oh well I gues I can buy a 4x4 quad and put around the fence line eh......

You know Phil right? Well he pilots his bike. Blake ring a bell?
Posted by: RaptorOwner
What?? ARe you joking or what??? He took 1st place last year on Thanksgiving weekend at Pismo.
Posted by: RaptorOwner
Not Phil, but the owner of the bike did, Blake. He got one of those dinky little first place trophies they hand out at the end.
Posted by: RaptorOwner
Not phils bike but Phil rides Blakes bike and that thing is pretty fast!!

on thanksgiving the 4x4 club puts an organized sand drag event with lights, timers with 60' and 300' times with slips and they grade the track for you. Its anything but slow. Takes them an entire 7 hours just to run the 100-150+ bikes in the competition. Last two years the weather was good enough to ride in. Last year the weather was great.
Posted by: DaBeechMan
you going to be there rescuediver?
was it 3 or 4 years ago when we had that rain? i thought it was 3 but my memory isnt very reliable.
Posted by: DaBeechMan
if you mean by the amount of people...? Its hard to get on or off the beach because there are so many people. The ramp is typically backed up to the bridge.
Posted by: DaBeechMan
id venture to say beech goes to the drag strip more then you go to the sand. Like i said earlier. I get out enough. Yeah, and i may get beat. But it wont ever be by your 4-stroke.
Posted by: DaBeechMan
we'll exchange numbers and ill meet you out there sometime. Maybe i can show some of these clowns that beech is an awesome fenceline racer
Posted by: DaBeechMan
yeah, ill bring my banshee out to the races on the flats. Should be a good time.
Posted by: DaBeechMan

10/23?
Posted by: DaBeechMan
havent heard anything about it
Posted by: DaBeechMan
ohhhh ok, the dune race. I had drag race in my head.
In that case its hard to say how many or how busy the beach will be that weekend because the race has never been done before in pismo. Kind of a toss in the dark if you were to guess.
Posted by: DaBeechMan
thanks rescuediver. I have many things on my head and she is always one of them.
As far as registering you show up early, pay a gate fee to get onto the flats, then if you want to play you register at the booth they set up at the south end part of the flats.
I havent seen the flyer yet so i dont know the registration times. Dates are saturday and sunday
Posted by: DaBeechMan
i live 15 minutes away so i just go for the day and go home. Ill be there saturday and sunday pending the status of the bikes...lol
Posted by: DaBeechMan

Posted by: DaBeechMan
Ill tell ya, when you get off one after riding them for a day or two it sure makes you feel like an old man heh
Posted by: DaBeechMan
you typically only get the pucker affect when it goes sideways or when the front end gets a little too high.
Posted by: DaBeechMan
not that fast. Everybody just thinks im fast BR>
300ft is the standard in dirt. Anything further in length then that can be very deadly since its not a stable surface.
Posted by: DaBeechMan
your invited to take pictures and cook dinner. Know you role woman! lol

Oh your gonna get it. Besides I want one thing, the beech wants another. So we go with his idea since hes the builder. Guess builder/boyfriend know best huh As for that thumbsaver....I DID NOT PUT THAT ON THERE! My daddy did So stop making fun of me already....haha. Besides its just easier when beech tells me what to do, since he is always right

I totally agree thats why we go from Sat to wed before turkey day. Pismo is too crowded any holiday weekend for kids, its amazing how many knuckleheads show up that dont pay attention to anything. I hate holiday crowds!

What's great about Pismo though, is you can close off as big of an area you want so, the kids can ride in a somewhat protected area. Just disquise your entrance and exit points to keep the idiots from cutting through

Sounds good, I don't have anything to keep up with your Sheeight now, helping a friend do the top end on his LT500

Dabeech, Just out of curiosity, are the drag races over Thanksgiving done by a sanctioning body? And if so, is the 96 db still enforced for racing bikes at the strip?

Pismo blows!
Posted by: 2004YFZ450
Do you think the weekend of the races 10-23 are going to be very crowded?
Posted by: 2004YFZ450
There are supposed to be ATV races on Pismo Beach that weekend.
Posted by: DrDune
No good @ Pismo on Turkey day ..... weathers too unpredictable. You may catch some sun but I wouldn't count on it, and it may be pretty lonley out there. good luck if you go you might hit the Quad jack pot and have a lil heat wave that'll clear out the sea dew.
Posted by: 1BADRAPTOR
Go to Dumont, it nice there and good racing, hell with pismo .....
Posted by: 1BADRAPTOR
I would say thaT Too if i lived 5 minutes away, you guys need to get out and try some other dunes, it's allright beech if you get beat, there is always some one faster..
