Well I droped off my bike at Mad Racing today, hopefully its done by memorial weekend. Any fast YFZ's besides DJ's 470 going to be up there? What about the big bore rappy's and MR.HP DS's? Any of you guys goin? So who in all is going?????

I got there before mark got back so I dont know how they did. I know they took out the 800cc stroker though. I didnt get a chance to go this weekend to busy I think DJ's YFZ was a little faster then the 465ex but am not 100% sure. I have a cannondale sitting around here if you are intrested

Yea a good part of the weekend if not all of it will be geting it dialed in. Hope we can get it real close so I can come back before the 4th and get it perfect.

I think we would of been a good race before the 470. I have a couple of bikes around here that I know exactly how much I was beating them before so Ill have a very good idea of how much I gained. Let me know for sure if what day your going on memorial weekend if you do head over there.
If not ill see both of you on the 4th weekend.

Well got my bike back and broken in and yep its a runner to say the least All ready to head out sometime tomarrow. Look for the white YFZ with tiny front tires and Mad Racing stickers on the side...

I don't think DJ will be there memorial day weekend. He broke his leg last weekend at the Arena cross on his dirtbike. Madracing & taftraptors bikes are very close. We ran them about 5-6 times, And those bikes are almost the same in performance. DJ's YFZ is no match for ANNIHILATER though. I got to try out some UL's on my YFZ this weekend, And they sure do help. I've got to think about getting some to use on the big weekends when I just drag race, If I want to be competitive with the other 450's. All it takes is money...

Sorry I won't be there. It's tempting, I would love to go over & see how your new Madracing motor runs & line up against you so I can see the difference. But it's to close to my Oregon trip. With work & all, I just don't have much more time to get ready for the trip which is only going to be a couple days after memorial weekend. My bike is all serviced & cleaned waiting to hit the Oregon dunes. Good luck though. I hope to make it over one day over the 4th of July weekend. You'll probably have it more dialed in by than anyways. Memorial Day might end up being a dial your bike in weekend anyways. Hopefully you get it figured out real quick though & can make some good runs this weekend.

97 you might be safe my girl smoked her kasea last night at the races. motor mount broke and chain came off, she over revd it and crank came apart, lost flywheel, piston. checking with distribor to see whats in stock. also putting a new clutch in the raptor and new axle, would like to run your banshee.raptor is in the 70's. i'm doing good this time only have 6 bikes to finish by wednesday. a few all night in the forcast.
if everything goes right i'll be at the drags aroung 12 on saturday.

Give it time Karyn. I've only been riding with you for what....4 mos. A little more time and you'll actually have a brake/rear sprocket guard on that thing.

I might try to make it to pismo next weekend. How did taftraptor and madracing do ?? Did you go to pismo this weekend? I was planning on Sand mt Utah, but that may change. Who does DJs yfz run with, Is it faster than the yellow 465ex. I am scrambling to get a cannondale frame set up for ds motor asap . I need to go lighter if Im running DJ.

Sorry I couldnt make it this weekend, It is Mothers-Day and all, thanks for the report Chuck. Are you going next weekend? The lady and I have been talking about going to pismo. Maybe we could POSSIBLY come down for mem. day. But I am supposed to make it up to sand Mt. Nev. Anyone up for it????. And chuck, you know your my designated pilot so youll hopefully be able to rain some terror on those other bikes that the yfz is haveing probs with, I know your bike runs real fast as it is. I just took mine out to a paved road on 10% nitro and got here running very strong, I tried to speed shift once and felt like I was going to snap a crank, It was hooking tooo hard on the concrete.
I think this hog is ready to pumble. Chuck call me when you get a chance.

We'll be there heading up friday morning & leaving Monday...........look for the rig that is in my pics...taking the whole clan. My godchild will be there with my sister and my sons best friend is taking his dirt bike and, my son said he is going to beat me with his friend bike, funny thing is, is my son has never rode a dirt bike on the sand.....Oh NO!! It ought to be fun!!

Thunder, i would like to see how Mark from Madracing has your bike running, so if i can i might come over to watch. It's to close to our Oregon trip and my bike is all cleaned up and ready and i am not willing to take any unforeseen chances that something might happen. Sand mountain is more like sand hill ............. but I hear that deep in the forbidden zone there is an actual sand mountain as high or higher than China wall at Glamis.

He has a few suprises for me, he said it is real difrent and he opened the head pipe and stepped it up near the core for some real top end power,hope it works well with the set up..But i can guarntee it has the biggest opening of any pipes from the head pipes to the core of the exhaust...
