I doesn't cost anything to ride but there's also no facilities at all. No running water etc... All primitive. Kermit is 10 miles away with decent lodging. There's around 2000 acres of awesome dunes ranging in size from 10' to around a 100'. Also lots of great trails.

Hey guys,

I am coming down to Kermit Sand dunes from Rochester, NY. I will be down there during the thanksgiving break. There is nothing to pay to ride on the sand dune right??

It's free.

Hey whats up the dunes are located on the southeastern point of new mexico. The dunes are 10 miles from Kermit, Texas. The dunes are in TX but not far from the new mexico state line. The dunes are about 25 sq miles and they are like a mini glamis. The dunes go from 0ft to 120ft. The dunes have picnic tables but no rv hook ups or restrooms. But if u ever get a chance to come it will be well worth the drive. They are a blast. Lance

Hey all, I've heard of the Kermit dunes, but I've never been there. I live four miles from Little Sahara in OK, so I'm kinda spoiled. How is that place run? Is it like here, where there are entry fees and boundaries? I know these are stupid questions, but I want to plan a trip, so I need to know what to bring and expect. Thanks y'all.
