You generally don't want to gear up in the dunes. Most people gear down to help make up for the power the sand robs from you.

That s a pretty extreme jump in gearing. You probably will be doing everything one gear lower, like going up the hill in 3rd instead of 4th. I suggest using the stock sprocket, ride, then see if you want to change, The front sprocket is an easy swap in the dunes.

I would like to change from a 13 to 15, does anyone know if this makes alot of difference in the dunes on a 85 250r ATC
Does anyone recommend that? Ill be new to dune riding next year so Im making my mods this winter
