3 gallons of Absolut, 2 gallons of real lemonade, 1 gallon of cranberry, 2 cases of Corona and a bologna sandwich. I'm good for a week. Oh yeah, quad, fuel, and baby wipes.

HA2,

That's cruel but very funny none the less. I only wish that on those who bounce checks at my shops. Or those who said my 44o was a POS.

A 21" tire is better for dragracing/hillshooting then the 20"s. The 20" corner and jump better and in my opionion dune better.

21"s are like landing on balloons and if you get land a little crooked the taller tire can send you over the side easier..

Just what Wyoduner said. I have a full HMF pipe, K&N filter set up, cam mod, jetted, and it runs strong. I have a 12 tooth front sprocket when I run paddles, and that's not very often. I put a set of wheel spacers on the rear for more stability and cornering speed. I weigh 210 lbs. and run my suspension on the stiff side for jumping. I would like to get a set of Houser long travel a-arms someday. I had them on my Dale and they performed great.

That's great. LOL

Bat. They are 20x10x8 8 paddle Skat Traks. I had to special order them, but it didn't take that much longer. They work great on four strokes.

Longer, wider, extreme haulers, front sand tires, more HP.

Hey buddah, what are the sand tires you have that have the glider paddle and hauler paddle alternating?

I was going to look at them closer when we were at little sahara, but forgot.

I am curious what size and how many paddles? Oh and I am guessing that you had to special order those from skat trak.

Thanks
Bat

jealousy will get you guys nowhere .....

you gotta be more specific, theres endless amounts of money you can put in a dune quad

You should just soften up your stock suspension and get a pipe, take the lid off, do that cam mod, paddles, re-jet, maybe different gearing, and maybe bump up your compression. Talk to selector I think hes got quite a bit of stuff done to his.

i am a honda guy but to compare the 400ex to the yammi 450 is crazy the 450 dominates in every category. the only thing bad about the 450 is it say's yamaha on it.

We've got 23" 10 blade extremes on our yfz. Two days ago my uncle raced it against a built raptor at sand mountain ($2700 into engine he said). Both races it was a dead even tie. And the YFZ doesn't have a pipe yet. Just removed lid/peashooter.

Well what is it?

Posted by: derekb21

Well scince i have a yfz what would be good

susp. setup

along with engine mods I HAVE $1000 TO SPEND

Posted by: derekb21

and i run mostly

woods/harescrambles

plus a couple of trips to the dunes

and racing my buddys around the mx track

Posted by: HA2

the best setup in the dunes is a yfz450 with a rod sticking out the case.

Jealous of what!

switch the Corona to A&W, the bologna to ham, and erase the baby wipes.

i agree now...lol.

Posted by: CroBiker

ok, i'm sorry but i don't understand how smaller tires would make you jump better. unless the little bit of weight u save makes u go higher, but i doubt it's enough weight to make much of a difference.

i rode my friend's stock YFZ at pismo last weekend. and personally i prefer my 400EX. it's a lot nicer to ride, and it feels like it has power. the YFZ feels like a toy, it has no torque, it's jus fast.

paddles, and smooths in the front

Posted by: EAB

DINGO - smoothies are front tires that are bald (made that way by the factory not the consumer). As I see it, smoothies would be good for mostly drag racing (straight line stuff), while 'Dune Trackers' would be better for general duning, they have a single ridge in the center of the bald tire.

2Gordons,

What are smooths?

I want to ride the dunes so bad it looks like so much fun, but for now the MX track will be fine
