kinda depends on when you go to florence. next to comp hill is usually a good size hill, you kinda have to ride around and check out the whole area. Just kinda depends on the weather and what way the wind is blowing. I can count 3-4 hills there that are big, i have never been to winchestor but i have heard it was as good as florence....so it just kinda depends on what you like. i like florence because you have big, medium and small hills. plus you have comp hill and also good flat drag area.

what is it about florence that attracts you guys? I went out there and it seemed pretty flat. I would much rather ride winchester or horsfall. Maybe i was just missing something?

hey FISHSLAB,
I know where some big elks are in the coos bay area. Its right off the road I think its even named the elk viewing area. You ought to try it out. Let me know how it goes.img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">

Some of the best hillclimbs are at florence. You just have to search for them.

I might even go the day before, but Ill be there on Sunday for sure. Anybody else gonna be there?

My elk season starts the weekend of the 8th. I'll be hunting so have fun. Florence has more availible than Wincester ever could. I still like Wincester, but it is tiny compared to Florence. You can ride all the way to Siltcoos and beyond from Florence. I haven't tried Horsefall or Spinreel and plan to this spring.

Steven,
I usually hunt there at night, with a spot light, with a pack of huntin dogs, while I'm hangin out my pick up window, when the season is over.(they are usually easier to find and hit with my concealed pistol)img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">
