Doesn't really matter

IF all you do is drag race, then you may notice, but otherwise, you probaly wont notice anything different. Your rear wheels are spinning so fast that the time from one paddle hitting to the next is minimal. Dont lose any sleep on it.

...and overall, it really doesnt matter

For those who feels it matters, change it. For those who don't, ride on!!!!

Maybe you got a bad set, because my haulers are all evenly spaced

Oh but it does. If your paddles dont line up your bike will lurch to one side when you hit the gas hard, mainly holeshots. If you bought them as a package, they should have been aligned when you got them. If it was local take them back and demand they fix it. It makes a big difference, so i you can fix it, do it. Also try moving one tire around on the hub and keeping one on the bolts. one rotation on the bolts might be closer than another.

It seems as thought I did not understand the mans problem. If the paddles are not aligned, mainly if they are off quite a bit, there will be a change in the way the bike handles coming off the line. If we are talking a half and inch, no big deal obviously. But if your paddles are staggerd to the point where the scoop of one is in halfway between the scoops of another, you should definately notice a difference. Now if you never race, who cares? But if you are like most, you line up with your buddies in the sand and up against other people when at the dunes. Its at this point that it starts to matter. And yes, identical tire pressure is also important. It will not have an impact on the bike when it is in the air.
Even if all you do is rec ride, a major disalignment should be fixed if it is practical to do so.

I have never noticed that the paddles not being lined up from left to right is a big problem and i drag race all the time.If you run your quad hard and race all the time your tires will probably slip on the rim just slightly anyways so i wouldnt worry about it too much. You may already know this but particularly with a paddle having your tire pressures the same is way more important than the alignment from the left to right wheel.

O.k. The paddles should be evenly spaced on the tire. What happens is when they are mounted on the wheels the tires can be mounted in different positions in relation to each wheels bolt pattern. If you are patient enough mounting them you could get them close to perfect. I just try to get them close so the paddles clock up the same on each side. You can do this by rotating the complete mounted tire until it matches or is close using the wheel bolt patten. Or if it isn't close enough for you you can rotate your hub on the axle splines. Or go back and remount your tires. If you're just having fun who cares! Close enough works! I'm sure you have better things to do than getting your paddles in perfect alignment. If you're that worried get a 12 or 14 paddle tire in a small diameter then you're bound to get them to line up

just got a new set of haulers and they dont line up if your looking across the paddles ther off about 1 to 2 inches. Does this affect traction? or the way the bike will handle in the air? or does it really matter??

Thanks for the input guys. im going to mess with the splines and the hubs and get it lined up if not take them back to rocky mountian and make them remount one of them to match the outher. All skat traks are matched pairs form the factory so i know that is not the problem. but lots of good ideas here and opinions.
keep dunin!!! BR>

The biggest worry with misaligned paddles is that if they are 7 or less paddles, it will vibrate the crap out of you at low speeds. It seems like 8 and above don't really matter as much, obviously, line them up the best you can, but they will slip, just keep pressure right.

Last weekend was my first time on paddles and I solved the vibrating problem real quick , and my paddles are not lined up .
The trick is DON'T GO SLOW ........... your at the dunes on a sport quad GO FAST

see the thing about skat trak is you will never get them lined up becuse of the glue the paddles on and there different spaced apart so you can never get them right. it doesn't matter thow.

Even if you line them up, they tend to become dis-aligned again over time. It's annoying cause you vibrate at low speeds.

Alignment does matter and is EASY to fix. Simply remove the nut on your axle for your hub on one side and rotate your hub(tire and all) until you fall into the spline that alighns the paddles.
