Even took it to Pizmo and they are strict. Not a problem in Glamis w/ all the V-8's around, so buy what gives you the power boost you want. Alba pipes are perfect and you can switch the tips easily enough to make it useable if it gets stricter on decibal levels. Order it from Alba Yamaha in Poway, Ca. 92064.

Pushing 59 what, HP? If so what motor mods do you have other than pipe and airbox?

none of them really ,but some have lower dbz than usual but are past the level, the yosh has the quiet tec insert that can make it legal.

The legal level is 96 db so go off that for a start and ask around..

GEOLIQUID- the fmf-q muffler is a good choice for a legal pipe for the raptor(mine came in at 92 db) and it builds good power in the midrange which is very usable for duning.you will have others tell you that the q is not a good choice because it does not build as much peak horsepower but the midrange power that it builds is very good for climbing dunes and drag racing up hills.i think that if you installed the q and also put on a better breathing air filter along with re jetting that you would be very happy with the performance gain and you would be legal.if you can afford it the power bomb header is a good addition to go with the q and it will help with that midrange power even more.

I dont think you'll ever get in trouble for sound in Glamis

MBRP gives pretty good power and its not too loud...around 94db's....highest you can be at Glamis is 96db's...I wouldn't worry too much about it though..

Go With the pipe that won the 2002 and 2003 four stroke wars at glamis. Curtis Sparks Racing, I think very few people on here would argue that his pipes make a dump load of power, and u can also interchange the tip with open or disc for db prefrence. Tell them
