I haven't tried the ITP's, for those who haven't seen them yet as I had not, Click here I have tried Sand Skate 1's with the first spur left on, Photo's I ridden them twice so far, they do give more hook than without the spurs, and I found them to be OK for playing at Walden (altitude 8500') how ever when I went to Glamis I found them to be lacking in hook up and the quad shuddered when taking off from a compleate stop, this was on a DS760 with a +4 swing arm these tires are on a 10X10 rims as per the mfg. recomendation, hope this helps a little

mike 330r has a set and will soon be doing a review on them

Well I was just curious if anyone has tried these tires yet, if so what are your thoughts?
Posted by: rc3
Well they do make them in a 20in tire also, and they are supposed to be light. I do agree with you though. I am just waiting to see who the first guinea pig will be. I hope someone will buy them soon and tell us how they work!

I went tp ITP's website and they had a 20" tire listed

hey, thanks for the info, I will read your reveiw!!

They DO look interesting. I'd like to know who's using them and what they think about them as well.

I don't know, they look like they would be heavy???? I always prefer the buffed-down Skat-Traks because they are light. I also noticed that they are 22". I personally don't like to give up low end gearing especially in the sand, so I will stick with 20". The ITP's might do best on a big bore bike.

Ah, they do make 20". One of the mags said only 22's.

We talked to a guy who has them and said they throw up a "X" roost. should be cool to see them on halloween, somebody should have them. going to get them for the wifes bike.

I have run the new Sand Stars and I am quite impressed with them. They are not as heavy as Sand Sharks and the paddles are about 1/8" taller than Sand Skate2's.

does ne body know how the front tires perform? i'm wondering if there's a big difference in handling with the double razorbacks, versus the single.

I have been waiting to see what the sand stars are like also. My first thought wa that they looked heavy also. maybe I will have to be the first one to try. We have a group of people going to Sand Mountain in a couple weeks. Can't put it off any longer.

I chickened out I ordered Skat Trak haulers for my yfz450!!!
If aint broke why fix it?
Posted by: 5150tom
I spent the weekend at Sand Mountain, and my 8 paddle haulers worked "ok".
I talked too Skat Trak and they told me 7 paddle for my YFZ450. I asked him if he was sure and did he relize what bike had and the power that it has,It is like a 2 stroke, 12,000 rpm motor. Everyone is under estamating the power of the YFZ450.
I could have put a 9 or even 10 paddle tire on this bike.
Anyways I'm glad I stayed with the haulers like I said earlier if it's not broke don't fix it.
If you can't slide haulers your not trying hard enough.
I have 7 paddle haulers on my 200x and it slides with no problem.

I've had a set of the 22's on order for about a month and a half now. ITP does not have them in stock in that size so nobody can get them right now. I keep gettin the " they should be in next week" thing. I will let ya know what they are like if I ever get them.
