Ballence is the key, wider but not to wide. The first time I modded my Rap with +3 I was hanging up all the time in transition. I went down to +2 and it was MUCH better.
The biggest improvement with wider Arms/Axle is side hilling. With a good set up you can side hill sitting almost strait up and you will fill like you are going to roll to the bottom.

It feels a lot more stable but when you first ride with em unless you get used to it its gonna hang up a lot and try to pull you. The first time I went out with my 3" offset wheels I was like whoa crap. Every time I'd transition into a bowl or over something it would get hung up. So I just started to use my weight more and give it more throttle. If you can get used to it I'd go for it. I like the overall ride better now.

i've been looking at mods for my honda 300. i only ride in the dunes and i was wondering if it would be worth it to put wider A-arms and a wider rear axle on my quad. it doesn't seem like a wise investment, but i've seen more than a few quads out there running a wider stance.
