I don't think Silver Lake has dangerous dunes so that shouldn't be a concern. ZGo with a friend who knows his way around and if you can go on an off weekend or during the week it will be easier with less people. Ride smart and safe and you'll be fine - everything is a learning experience.

You only get experience by showing up and running...as long as you ride within your limits(go ahead and push a littleyou are likely to have a great time with a large group of people who enjoy much of the same things...go have fun

You will be just fine, as long as you dont get in my WAY!!!!!!!!!!! HEHE

Just don't do any bonehead things like ride alone or ride beyond your ability...use good judgement!

I bought my new quad and took it out to the dunes like the third day I had it. I've ridden out at the dunes 4 times since then and I improve a lot each time. I can run with just about anybody now (unless of course they have a hella fast quad) and I'm just working on jumps now. Definitely go for the trip, just don't do anything you don't think you can do.

As long as you don't hit any jumps or drops, and you pay attention, you will be fine. Make sure you know what is on the other side fo a dune before you go up it, and always pay attention to where you are going in case the dune suddenly drops off somewhere. As long as you are attentive, the worst thing you could do is maybe roll your quad climbing a hill or something. Prob. be more damage to the quad than to you. No worries man, just pay attenton and be careful.
