if you have ridden the oregon dunes, you wouldnt want to make the 10-12 hour drive from oregon to pismo, it it very small. I dont know if you have checked it out but in southern oregon there are the christmas valley sand dunes, never ridden there but i heard it was good sized, but no huge dunes, would still be a place close to you to try. Even though Pismo is not technically Northern California.. it's only a short 4 1/2 hours drive from the Bay Area hauling a toy hauler... Pismo is a great place to ride and if you haven't been, I would suggest checking it out!! Just make sure you make reservations before going.. the beach can sell out any weekend and it's worth the time and $7.00 fee to make the reservation to guarantee your spot (www.reserveamerica.com). Have fun!
