This ONLY applies to certian two strokes 1999 and newer. And even with those the laws are shakey.

elsancho,
My 350PV is holding up great. No problems yet. Took me a while to get it dialed in and hope it is perfect for this weekend. As for the LRD or CT kit, the LRD's porting looks to have a larger exhaust port (if I remember correctly). I would like to try an LRD kit to see how much better it is. (e-mail me and I can forward pic's)
I see you live in CA, you may be able to get a good port job out of Allen at CT. Also I have been talking with a guy here in San Diego that has the same CT motor I have and his seems to be quite a bit faster than mine. Maybe I got a MX port and he got a top end port? Who knows. I will know more after Jan 19th about his set up as we are going to meet at the dunes.

I beleieve you cant ride 2 strokes in the summer months, so your in the clear, unless you want to ride in an oven!!! I think its like May-july or August...

if you're stuck on a powervalve motor, you might want to check out LRD's 350..I've seen the portjob differences between the CT and LRD motors, and its quite significant.

Elsancho,
A little off topic here........
What color red is that? Is that powdercoated or painted? Looks like you'll have a nice 250R when you get done. Keep up the good work.
Thanks

thanks for checkin out the bike Canes, and thanks for the comments.... the color is called " Candy Red Over Chrome".. according to the guy at the powder coating shop they put down a layer of chrome first ( i highly doubt its a triple chrome plate). followed buy the candy red powder coat. the shop i had it done at is " orange county platin" located in orange calif. total cost for all my powder coating needs sans swingarm came to about $250. i word to the wise if you send your frame into ANY powder coating shop: do ALL your own masking of bearing holes bolts and nuts... the shop never seems to do a good job of this... and when you do get your frame back... fo through with a tap and dye and clean up all threads

motor is basically stock except for a few nuts and bolts... a while back(6- 7 years) an uncle of mine via a connection through trinity atv. did some mods . i think he honed out the carb.. and also performed some head work to raise the compression ratio.... i was looking into taking my bike into CT for a 350 powervalve and polish ( hey mike330r... if you read this let me know how yours is holding up) but the other mods to the chassis ran me ove budget a few K.. ( dont ask me how.. i was like a kid in a candy store at Timmyboy Designs:"I'll take one of those.. that.. and oh yes.. dont forget this too....". maybe next year though...... but then again im thinking about saving the $2700 and wait and see if honda comes out with the rumored 450 or 650 trx... but thats a different topic... anyways back to the motor.. as far as resperation goes, im just runnin a KN aitfilter with a CT racing national pipe and silencer... thats about it.... for now...CHA CHING!!!
