I absolutely love my 27" Claws, but I would never say that what I have is the best until I had ridden everything else. I think that the Dirt Devil XT's would be a great mud/trail tire basically because of the tread design. Looks like it would dig in good for hillclimbing. On the claws, I have noticed that the sidewall tread does a lot of work to dig me out of mudholes. That is something that I don't see much of on the vampire, but it is there big time for the outlaw. If I were going on looks alone, I would say the Outlaw. The most aggressive tread by far is the 28" Vampire, but the weight looks like it would really hamper even the largest cc engine. My guess would be lightweight, wide, and good sidewall traction, thus the Outlaw. I got claws because I spend a lot more time on the trail than in the slop. For an aggressive tire, they have an ok ride on pavement. Much better than I expected.

I know last year it was vampires. I dont know now i havent keep up to the new tires out, but i like the outlaws.

It is more of a collection of tire descriptions provided by the manufacturers than a comparision of the tires on an ATV, by different riders. I was disapointed in the article after seeing the cover.

I have a 99 model 450ES. I`ve had 27" vamps,589s and Tri-claws. I currently have 28" Outlaws and they are by far the best out of what I`ve had in the past.They pull forward and that is the key to getting through the mud. I have also tried the 28 vamp on the front with 27-12-12 on the rear. That set up can`t stay with the Outlaws either.

What do you all think the best mudd tire is. My choice is tri claws and bi claws. Out laws are great to. My favorite all round tire is GBC dirt devil.

Definatly the Outlaws !! I saw them yesterday at my local ATV shop. They are bad.
