If it were me and I were getting a less aggressive (meaning not a vampire or something) type tire that was a lot better than stock, I would go with Sur Tracs or Spider Tracs. If I was going closer to stock, I would get Titan 489's. If money was not a problem on whatever, I would get Spider Tracs. They are a proven tire, but they are a bit higher than the sur tracs. I don't think you could go wrong with the Sur tracs though.

My wife's 99 Big Bear needs some new tires, I don't want to spend too much for tires, but I would like a good quality tire. I see some real nice "looking" Maxxis Sur Trak 26x12x12 for $50 ea. They are only 2 ply, but are supposed to have a softer, rubber that helps prevent punctures. Does this sound good, or should I look for something else? Thanks, Chris My wife needs to get her own screen name, she keeps using mine and posting things about her ATV!! Women!! Got to love them when they love the mud!!!

thanks for you help, I didn't see the spider tracs, I'll have to look for those in my mag. Yeah, I don't want too aggresive of a tire. She likes the mud, but not too much! Thanks again! Chris
