In what small bit of slop I have had my Bi/Tri Claws in, they do outstanding. I have been stuck, but there is nothing you can do about sinking to the frame other than lift it and hope the hole still isn't that deep. The best thing about the claws is the sidewall traction, which looks like it would be excellent for the Outlaws as well. Basically, the best thing about my tires is that they really don't ride that bad at speeds over 5 mph on pavement. They also steer better than the stock 495 Titans, but then again thats not hard to do. I am glad I didn't get Vampires. I don't know if Vamps are better in the mud or not (I have heard both sides several times), but I know they ride rougher and weigh more. The difference in ride pushes the Claws over the edge on the Vamps though. Now the new GBC tires look very good as well.

Don't buy the blackwaters they are too hard and not forgiving on hard pack trails and don't do the job in mud. I've seen the Goodyear mudrunners and bearclaws and I probably will replace the Dunflats that I have with one of these. The titans are very aggressive only grea in swampy or true muddy conditions. but terrible for hardpacked trails and gravel. Mostly I heard from a couple owners on a Grizzley and Praire.

Vamps or outlaws!
for your's probably 26"
but get them as thin as possible so they clean better and don't get so heavy with mud that it gets harder to turn your wheeles

I've owned my 00 Kodiak for about 3 months now, and I think it's overall the best quad I've ever owned...the only thing I'm not pleased with is the stock tires. My Kodiak sees quite a bit of mud, and the tires just aren't doing the job.
If anyone has any opinions on what kind of tire would be great for the mud and and maybe even give me a little more clearance underneath, I'd appreciate some input.

I can't tell you, I have had my bike about 2 Months, and I'm going to do the same thing. I'm looking at either 27" blackwater's, or the 26" Bearclaws.
