I saw the Rubicon for the first time today, and the only real thing that I saw as a flaw was that there wasn't much fender clearance for larger tires to be added. Lift kit would just about be a necessity for 27" tires. Other than that, the only thing I didn't like about it was the skinny tube racks and the plastic thing up front. I would shred that sucker in a week. But then again, thats what the aftermarket companies are for.

The pics are up. They rub in the rear behind the floorboard on the Rubicon. Lift or trim or skinny for the rear.

The stock tires are Dirt Hooks and I believe they are 4 ply rated.
The tires are in contact while stationary and will touch a metal support bracket behind the front wheel with suspension movement. So, a fender trim and maybe a lift will be needed. The trim for sure do to the curve of the flare.

I think a 1500 with a snatch block would work fine. The machine weighs less than 600 pounds.
It rides great thru ditches and on hills, going up and down and at angles. The center of gravity is low with the engine configuration. Feels very steady while you are standing or sitting. The compression breaking works great. When you gas it, it jumps.

How does this machine handle in tight trails, for
exc. creeks, paths, and ditches? Also how does it do on steep inclins and how does it handle when you'r on steep hills?

Also TxDoc2, can a superwinch t1500 model fit on the rubicon and do you think it's powerful enouf
to pull the rubicon out if it hase mud up to it's racks, I plan to have outlaws on the back and titan 589's on the front.

My two cents on the winch thing is I will never put a 2000 pound winch on again. 2500 lb. or bigger from now on. Especially when you have to winch out a sportman or other heavy quads.

nice pics but is the rubicon rideable? does the tire actually make contact with the fender? I fear if i would put 24" tires on my recon i'll have the same problem.
