I installed PRM's setup for front bash plate (stock one is about as durable as a beer can),full chassis skid,and rear swingarm skid plates.These are constructed of aircraft grade aluminum and have worked out excellent for me.I have taken some huge hits on all of the plates and have sustained only minor cosmetic scratches. Installation was a breeze.PRM uses the stock bolt pattern for all of their plates with a couple of extra bolts which are easy to figure out. I left out one of the front bolts on the full chassis skid as my bash plate assists in holding it up. If you do decide to go the PRM route, e mail me and I'll fill you in a bit more on installation if you have any questions. At my request, PRM even matched the hole pattern on the bash plate.I've been very happy with them.Prices are very reasonable when compared to Highlifter.I figure the plates will hold up easily for the life of my quad. One thing that I found annoying was a bit of a rattle in low to mid RPM's.This turned out to be the rearmost portion of the full chassis skid vibrating on the frame tubes.A simple solution was to place foam pipe covers over the frame tubes where contact was being made and all has been completely quiet since. For the added peace of mind,the skid plates are worth every penny.

I went with the Myier skid plate on my 450.... It has held up extremly well, I do the same kind of stuff... rocks, logs, well U name it I have or have tried to slid over it :).. anyways I have had mine on for about 6months, and just checked it the other day.... it has alot of scratches but nothing serious, they only cost $45 from cabelas.. well worth the money, and I think they slide over stuff, mainly rocks, better than the aluminum ones do.... probably won't last as long as the metal ones but its 1/2-3/4 the price of the other ones :)

Need some info on skid plate for 450S. Material type, cost, how it has held up? It is going to get used slidding over rocks and stumps. How tough are they to install?
