A friend of mine just put 26x12 rear , and 26x9 Front BearClaws on his kq 300 they fit and work very well, with the low range he always has plenty of power...hopefully that helps..there not very expensive and mount on the stock rims :)

How well do the blackwaters hold up on asphalt? I ride alot on asphalt, like 8 miles round trip to get to my riding spots. Then I mostly ride on hardpack trails, gravel & rocky washed out roads. Will they hold up well? The stock tires are fine for now I am just paranoid because I ride in very rocky rough areas and they are only 2 ply. I don't get in the mud very much. I also was looking at bear claws but heard they are softer than blackwaters and the asphalt would eatem up in no time.

You will like the Bear Claws. They are a Medium to hard compound. They hook up very well. I ride mostly on crush & run gravel and hard pack. When I climb mountains it really does well. A word on Vampires. I rode with a friend at the Tellico park. On smooth off camber trails he kept sliding side ways. Beware of special purpose Mud tires.

Bayou4x4, I have had real good luck with the blackwaters. I have also had tri-claws, but they proved to be to power consuming to spin. The blackwaters are durable, smooth riding, and have never left me stuck in the slop. I highly recommend them. Robb

The Blackwaters are basically designed for mud. They will wear a little faster than normal on asphalt. The key is take it easy when on hard pavement. The 4 ply construction is great for rocky trails. I slimed mine, and never had a flat. I have had blackwaters on the last three quads I have owned, And only 1 plug was needed. I call that probably a bit lucky, but, they have been a great tire for me. Fire roads that are dirt, rock, hardpack mud are no problem in terms of excessive wear. ALSO: the price is definitely right compared to other mud tires! Hope this helps. Robb

I am in the market for some tires for my bayou 300 4x4 and I cant make up my mind about which ones to buy. I'm looking for a good all around tire, for mud, hardpack and snow. I'd appreciate any suggestions or recomendations.

THEY DON'T LOOK NEAR AS GOOD AS VAMPIRES. THEY LOOK MORE LIKE BI-CLAWS TO ME. FOR THE MONEY I'M GIVING IT TO VAMPIRES.
