I recently got back my 1983 ACT 200x from my brother. He had left it sitting for 10+ years, and it was in pretty rough shape. I'm in the process of putting it back together after a complete teardown and cleanup. I got the front brake working, but the rear brake refuses to pump fluid during the bleed process. I took the master cylinder apart, and overall the seals and such look good. My question is how does the fool thing work??? There is a spring that goes at the bottom of the cylinder where the fluid goes to the caliper. On top of the spring, there is the first seal. There there is seal/spacer combo which appears to sit on top of the first seal. Finally, the plunger goes in to actuate the seals and spacer. In the fitting that comes from the reservoir, there is the required hole that feeds fluid into the main cylinder. There is also what appears to be a hole drilled next to the hole mentioned above, but it doesn't appear to go through. I've tried countless times to get the cylinder to pump fluid, but nothing is working. Can someone help me figure out what's up? I'm pretty sure the internal parts went back in the same way they came out. Thanks.
