I am considering installing wheel spacers on my atv to give it more stability. I have installed a lift kit and taller tires. I haven't had a problem with rolling it yet, but I was thinking that it may make the bike safer. Do you guys have any suggestions on what type of spacer to use? I have seen machined aluminum spacers and stud extensions but I don't know which one would be better. Also, I have read that spacers on the front tires will increase the turning radius. I really don't want to sacrifice any more turning radius, my bike is full-time 4wd. Can I just install the spacers on the rear tires? Thank you for your advice.

I'll have to check on the bolt pattern. It is a 1999 Kawasaki Prairie 300 4x4 (model kvf300-A1). I am not sure the width that the kits come in, but I was thinking of something around 3".

It won't make much of a difference in the turning radious but it will make it harder to turn. You will lose some of the mechanical advantage built into the steering system. Yes you can just install them on the rear.

4/137 thye come in 1" or 1 1/2 inch. One inch spacers make a big difference.

I considered spacers for my daughters Raptor but instead, I went with a wider offset set of rims for the back and we have been very pleased.

I bought a set of four 1" spacers off ebay and installed a pair each only on the rears of my and my wife's ATV. The only drawback to the spacers is the mud that gets thrown all over the place since part of the rear tires stick out past the fenders. I originally had all four spacers on my wife's ATV, but took them off the front due to the amount of mud that was thrown back all over me.

Thrown back from the front tires is what I meant. I don't mind a little mud being thrown on me from the rear tires, but the fronts throw a lot more mud on the rider than the rears. This was when I tested the Hawkeye with all four spacers before taking the fronts off and putting them on mine. My wife doesn't ride in the mud.

I put swamp fox tires on my wifes Hawkeye and I think I want to add rear spacers. Do you know if they are 4/4 or 4/156? I dont know what that all means.

www.crjperformance.com are the strongest spacers made 100% sure. I have some for sale. Turning is actually easier but rocks and rutts will make it more hard to keep the bars steady.
