do you do alot of ramping or hard trail riding? it could be a bent a-arm or possibly the front of the frame. these can cause a tilt on the front wheel, and a tilted wheel will vibrate at higher speeds.

how about a bent wheel or something..maybe you have a bent tie rod

ok the only way your front will shake usualy is if your rims are bent or tie rods are.
if your ball joints art bent it will just make it pull to one side. *(mine are bent)
and my rims are bent and it starts shaking every geer buts gets most worse in 5th.

even the slightest bend in a rim will cause viberation. when you are going fast look at your front tires n see if your tires lok like their going back n forth slightly.

also it could be your rear rims or axle too. some times your rear is slightly bent n it feels like the front.

and posibly your hub studs could be bent

wheel bearings might need replacing too.

and bent tie rods i dont think cause viberation rilly i think they just cause bad stearing cuz i got a bent one

OR the bearings might just need to be re pre loaded. my front rim could shake like when you need to replace the bearings but what it was was the bearings wernt tight enough. so i preloaded em tighter n they stayed good.

but it gots to more than likly be a very slightly bent rim. posibly a tweeked axle too. those are actuly the prity much only things that cause bad viberation. the other things usualy just make it stear bad and not go in a streight line.

also you could check your stem bushings

also if one lug nut comes loose all of em will get loose and the rim shakes so bad and it ruins the rim too

I would be checking out the tie rods and rod ends first, then I would start looking towards a bent wheel or maybe even a bent hub.

I'm in need of help. I have a 2001 400ex & when I get it up to around 55mph the machine starts to shake (my buddies can see the vibration/shaking when they are along side of me).

I believe this is due to my right front (sitting on the machine) tire is tilted (top) into the machine while my left front tire stands straight up. Does anybody know what would cause my right front tire to be tilted (leaning -top in towards the machine)?

I have looked over the a arms, tie rods & shock & none of it appears to be bent?????

Please help..... I hate to be last!

I took a piece of welding rod (to check the tierods for straigtness) on the tie rods & they do not appear to be bent. Does anybody have any experience with bad or broken ball joints, or possibly tie rod ends (although the tie rod ends appear to be tight ..hardly any play in them). when I look at the quad from the front it looks like this (although not this bad) | \ with the top of the tire leaning in towards the quad!

HELP EXPERTS!!
