I just purchased a set of the Bridgeston mud hooks Xtreme tires. This is my first set of replacement tires I've ever had to buy. I normally don't keep a quad long enough to wear a set of tires out. I've got 1400 miles on my prairie and cut the stock Dunlop's up pretty bad on my last trip to Hatfield McCoy. They definitely made a big difference. They seem to ride smooth past 5 mph. I like the way they handle the corners they don't seem to push real bad like the stockers. I can tell a difference in jumping, the Prairie doesn't get airborne near as easy as it used to. Not for sure if I'm sold on them or not yet, they seem to be a excellent mud tire but I don't think they seem to fit my style of riding. I probably should have got the ITP atr's. I like to ride fast and do a little jumping. I'll probably buy a set of the ITP atr's just to have something to switch to for the different type's of terrain.
Good Luck DennisC

I almost never run the same tire in the front & rear... IMO, different tread patterns perform better or worse, for steering & forward traction... if you look at most stock tires, they are typically not the same tread pattern between the fronts & rears... most fronts have lugs that run more front to back, & most rears have some sideways running lugs... I haven't personally run the Mud Hooks, but from wat I'm hearing, they are a smooth riding tire...

well I am not 100% shur on how it would work but I think that if you did a combo of tires I think that it would work pretty good good luck

I don't think it would hurt anything. If you decide to do it, post a thread on how well they work.

hey dennis c i got those extreme tires too and i agree im not sold on them and i did what your gonna do .i thought the xtremes were a luittle too much for all around riding ill save them for snow and mud.i bought the atrs they are more my style not so agressive.i like them better for general trail riding.they are not mud tires by any means but thats what the xtremes are for.

Just a note that you could screw up the drive train while in 4wd drive .If the tire sizes aren't exactly the same height.
It ends up changing the gear ratio and usually blows up the weakest link. in a truck that would be the front differential...
