I like Holeshot ATR's. But I live in the desert, so I can't say anything with much authority about mud and snow.

I found a fairly cheap 'street tire' kit. I understand the choppier feel that a shorter sidewall will give. but...then again a street tire rolls alot easier. I started thinking, my wifes RAV is all wheel drive, and has plain old radials. I took that thing off road and was amazed at full time four wheel drive did the dirt. The mud I went thru would compare to the mud my ATV has done in 2wd without slipping or punching it, just putted thru.
I could see deep snow being a serious problem- two sets of tires and rims maybe...just thinking, and thats dangerous

one reason is cars have a lot more weight which gives the car more traction.
