I agree with blaster about the TCS shocks being the best, I love mine. But, I also have ohlins and they are great if you want to run pre-load. I personally like preload on the shocks because it helps you get more air off jumps. No preload lowers the center of gravity of the bike for turns. It basically what you like: preload or no preload.

If you go with no-preload on the front you either need to get a no-preload rear shock or have your stock rear shock reworked to a no-preload.

I believe that the TCS are the best. The Ohlins are way outdated compared to TCS and PEP ZPS shocks because they still use the preload system. The TCS shocks are equal to the PEPs in performance but are a lot cheaper. ------------------ Garrett Lowman; CT240 Blaster, YZ490

I am planning on buying suspension for my 400ex.I was wondering how ohlins compare to TCS or PEP.No one here in Western Austalia has much info on atv suspension.Any feed back would be appretiated. Brett

Do i need to run front and back suspension or can i just run the fronts. How does it affect the bike by having no pre-load on the front and pre-load on the back (through woops and jumping )
